How do you feel about the demo characters in Th20?

I haven't gone through the demo myself yet, just the text and profiles.

I like all the designs. The kneejerk culture shock of seeing new official Touhous wore off in ten minutes.

It's understandable that Nareko has become the standout character so far. Besides her Egypt theme being just jarring enough to be memorable and offering a lot of meme potential for both Japanese and Western artists, it's funny that she's just some Japanese ancestor spirit goofing around because she got dumped in a pyramid. She definitely has the most distinct personality.

Chimi is kind of my personal favorite, or at least I've decided to call her that until it becomes true. I like her design, even if it's a bit busy, and the emphasis on her being kinda weird. A lot of artists have done good work with that already. And obviously the mysterious Nue connection: I'd always kinda assumed that "Houjuu" might be a bit of a title, since there's little other reason Nue would be called Sealed Beast, but that doesn't directly explain why Chimi's called the same (and "Unidentified" too).

Ubame is just very solid. Always need more punchy-type characters, and it's funny that she's supposed to be the chief of the yamanba but none of them really care that much. As well as the fact that she shows up as the stage 1 boss, basically sitting outside her own front door after being thrown out of her house. However, there's not that much that stands out about her just yet.
