I can't believe it has to be said, but Madara didn't start or even intend to start the Fourth Shinobi war. It wasn't part of his plan. Obito deviated from it quite a bit.

ive been thinking abt it and honestly if you take it at face value then shino’s infinite tsukuyomi of finding a new cool bug is a prime example of the scientific mind thirsty for the next discovery within the context of the symbiotic relationship the aburame have with insects. however if you remember shino named every single one of his kikaichu and panicked and mourned their deaths so actually “finding a new cool bug” is code for “finding a new friend that is only mine”

Actually what is the deal with the edo tensei.... This is probably another thing clearly stated in canon that I forgot, but they aren't actually their corpses, right? They were made out of something else (hence the filler ep with Kabuto making people out of snakes), so they aren't restricted by what they actually looked like when they died. Madara died an old man, but edo tensei Madara is in his prime. But Hiruzen looked the way he did when he died. So what's up with Hashirama and Tobirama? I assume they died in their 40s/50s or later, but they're resurrected looking the same as when Madara "died." But Orochimaru rezzed them iirc, so if he knew them at all he knew them as old men

So been rewatching some scenes to help remember what happened during the war scenes for Naruto Shippuden and I am embarassed to realize Chojuro was there in some of the Kage scenes and I didn't notice him until rewatching. Poor dude. I took some gifs for your pleasure.
