#FPtober day 7 Rose • Latte . A simple cup of latte drawn on my custom A6 by @flyght_of_fantasy_studio with my @TWSBI 580 Rose Gold inked (and re-inked) since January with @TonoandLims Earth Contact 002 Burma Tourmaline. I love that this ink is a very saturated and legible pastel pink. I used a bit of tea to wash the ink and still it is quite saturated and the color shows beautiful. The touch of shimmer (visible in the second picture) just adds to the elegance of this favorite of mine. ✨💖☕️💖✨ . Today’s prompts were given by followers, and I hesitated to use both as colors, both as topics, or to even use them reversed “Latte (color) • Rose”. Yet the goal of this list is for all of us to grow and we probably take for granted those lovely cups of latte and our various rose petal colored inks from pale pink to rose gold to different shades of red. #FPtober Teal Eye 👁 . In the past week, due to the sanitary crisis, France is now in a new lockdown. To ensure that we could stay safely at home for months, we had to temporarily move... 🏡 So I do not have access to my full ink collection. I grabbed a lot of pens 🖋 (mostly those inked), a bottle of Platinum Carbon Black 🖤 and a big bag of random samples🌈 . #FPtober Yellow Cure . When the prompt list came about, this was one of the days I was most excited about. I wanted to draw small vintage bottles, big Rakia bottles, honeycombs, and so much more... but it ended up being the craziest week ever and time was sparse. ⏳💭🥃 . #FPtober 24 Sapphire Wings. . I drew this last week, but didn’t have a chance to take the picture and post it... 😕 . Sapphire wings always remind me of the Blue Morpho butterfly I saw one night while visiting La Gran Sabana in Venezuela. It was the most magnificent butterfly I ever saw and none of the other Morphos I have seen at butterfly gardens ever impressed me as much. Perhaps it was magical because it was wild and the first I ever saw. 🦋 . #FPtober Brown Road . This prompt and ink were so enjoyable I actually drew it twice! 😁 . @KWZ.ink Newkie Brown is an especially lovely treat. It’s the 2019 Newcastle Pen Show ink sent to me by the kind @howmanypens with the help of @stringsandpedals. Newkie Brown is the unofficial name of the Newcastle Brown Ale. The color is inspired by the beer and something tells me that the smoother than usual scent might just be too. As a beer lover myself, I guess I’ll just have to go to Newcastle some time and find out for myself! 😁🍺🖋🤎 . The ultra smooth and broad nib of my beloved @StipulaPens Brunelleschi Terra di Siena is perfect for the Newkie Brown ink. The caramel amber color seems to give an autumn vibe to this ink.🖋🥰🍁🍂 . #FPtober 20 Orange Broom 🎃🧹 . Who has the coolest brooms🧹 (or so they say)? Witches! 🧙🏼‍♀️As much as I now dislike how the myth of witches flying on brooms and making brews with eye of a newt came from the same idea that some women were evil ✊🏼... I loved the imagery as a kid and due to the long thick hair I had, my go-to Halloween disguise as a kid was a Witch. 🧙🏼I just wished I could use my broom to fly so I would skip around the house with it! 🧹✨😆😁 . #FPtober 16 True Green Sword 🗡 . The ink was an obvious choice. @thegrynne has said it many times in @TheNibSection and she’s right: @CarandAche Amazon is the truest of green inks! 💚 . The pen came naturally too since my favorite sword is the parallel nib modified by @TorontoPenCompany. 🖋 . #FPtober 15 Grey Bone 🦴 . I love drawing Dino bones and this was no exception. To draw the triceratops skull, I drafted quite a bit with my @kohinoor_hardtmuth Triograph and then switched to ink. To creat contrast, the very Fine Pilot Murex Long is inked with Diamine Graphite (which is a green leaning grey) and the @leonardo_pens Momento Zero Horn 1.1 is inked with @colorverse.ink Matter (which is a purple leaning grey). 🦖🦕🖋 . For some time, I always succeeded at illustrating my red cat Grimm 🧡and failed at it when my black cat Hermès served as a model 🖤. . Since I started cross hatching, I was getting closer and closer until today’s illustration seems to capture well his fur and expression. 😄 . I usually do these with fountain pens🖋, but when I caught him in this sweet pose, I was taking notes on my tea on Vietnamese Mulberry paper that only seems compatible with my @Retro1951 Buzz 🐝 and its Easy Flow 9000 refill. 🖊 .
