so, you want to get rich quick?

to get rich quick anon, here’s some hypothetical strategies (I DO NOT ENDORSE WHAT I SAY BELOW). I’ll assume for the sake of this that you aren’t an artist or skinmaker, most of your FR friends are in the same class of “wealth” in dragon capitalism, and you likely have a couple thousand gems in your vault. (Also assuming normal non conquest push non NOTN profiteering hours). You unfortunately need to be rich first to get richer and also have very thick skin when it comes to haggling and various unethical things.

mildly unethical but not illegal: 1) scout out the sales/auctions threads, and underbid for dragons (low digits are a good place to start. see 7 digit dragons. better than g1s for ROI, but buyer’s market is kinda scuffed, this is a patience game) or find liquidating threads and pick up as many high value easy to liquidate things for as low as possible. buy them in bulk and people will be more likely to knock the price down.

2) sell sell sell. anything in your hoard or pair that isn’t being used and is easy to sell, get rid of it. hibden items are a hassle but some of the low tier unlock items can fetch quite the price. do your research and don’t waste time trying to sell every little thing, but have as much different stuff listed on the AH as possible. don’t overlist items, do corner the market on single piece apparel items that are a little fancy (find them on the MP during discount price)

illegal, try at your own risk: with multis: 1) get an earth multi for dom discount, convert your gems to treasure @1:1000, then buy a ton of gene scrolls to sell on the AH. DO RESEARCH FIRST ON WHAT THE BEST MARGINS ARE FOR FLIPPING. this is probably the single easiest way to make money on fr period.

2) use your dailies to gather for specific hibden items, don’t sell all at once because you’ll inflate the market and the price goes down, but trickle in a couple listings at a time.

3) buy multiple spare inventory crates and sell them later.

scams and frauds (please don’t do any of these i would be very sad):

1) get involved in dominance, trickle funds from battles or other organizations into your own coffers, or run events and hold onto a portion of the proceeds. fudge spreadsheets. it helps to be integrated into in flight events.

2) run scam raffles with middle-high ticket items, nothing super expensive, but decently interesting. (nothing over a couple kg for your grand prize as anything higher than that attracts more interest than you’d like.). make it legit, and you can have smaller prizes that you actually hand out, but the big ticket prize is never distributed. (multis will help increase legitimacy, just use common sense.)

3) literally just RMT if you have spare dollars to throw into the void. it helps to have “connections.”

4) reconsider your decisions. this is a game, and what you have will never be enough if you compare it to others.

FR is not a job, it is not an obligation, and “getting rich quick” will always come at the expense of others. you’re just as likely to be banned or found obnoxious for this kind of stuff.

I just finished him recently and he’s next on the art to-do list, but Mosander here! He’s a G1, I hatched him myself to catch his special ID (56556566) He popped out with the ugliest colors known to man (charcoal/goldenrod/cyan w/ arcane eyes) and scattered  ONCE into THIS BEAUTY!!!

Since he’s a magician I’ll prolly make him a friend to Spades, my other magic dragon haha and big favorite.

So sorry Budgie... He’s from one of my main lore pairs but I just kind of fell out of love with the Guardian M pose, He might need a big revamp. Honestly the only reason I haven’t yeeted him is probably because he’s a 7-digit haha.

Nothing important, just a little ranty about three things. I joined during the last NotN but one thing I still can’t figure out is dragon prices. I get that certain genes are more expensive than others, G1/G2, born on a specific date or lower ID digit increases the value, etc but everyone wants 60k-300k for the most ugliest and basic dragons. I’m an artist so, beauty is subjective? I really don’t want to make a hatchery thread since subscribing to threads is a nightmare but I just might have too since it takes way too long to sell a dragon 1k over the lowest fodder hatchlings. I just can’t even figure out an estimate to try and sell a dragon for since everything is a mess.

On the bright side I finally figured out what the fuss about item prices on the AH was all about after being confused about all the rants here since it took over a week to sell some pink silks, each time having to relist them at the cheapest. Now when I’m having trouble selling I just give up and try later. Not too salty about it, honestly. I guess the reason why undercutting gets so bad is because not everyone is just refreshing the AH looking for that specific item 24/7 so trying to get that ‘quick buck’ gets out of hand fast. Everyone knows this, I know. 

Lastly, I really wish I could get into accents but since it’s player-controlled, it seems every time I find one I would be willing to drop the gems on that artist is long gone without a trace. Come back to me, pls. So many wonderful and unique designs that make up for what FR may lack. I need to make my tundras’ faces look not like rejected muppets without burying them under apparel and let them down from the bell tower.

He freshens up two-and-a-half months for trainer Bill Spawr, who is 0-for-18 with his trainees making their first start off a 61-180-day layoff. His two efforts against stakes company in 2018 resulted in double-digit length losses. Siding with others.

#2 ROMAN ROSSO (ARG) is one of two runners in the field trained by Bob Baffert. Won three Group 1’s in South America before moving to Baffert’s stable, with his only two runs for him resulting in double digit length losses on the dirt. Now goes first time turf. Feels like a desperation move. Pass.

#3 CHICAGO STYLE surged past multiple graded stakes winner BIGGER PICTURE in the Hollywood Turf Cup (G2) two start ago and came back to only lose by a length-and-a-quarter to Grade 1 winner NEXT SHARES in the San Gabriel (G2). Major player. #4 EPICAL has been a different horse his last two starts, going gate to wire both times, showing a new dimension we had not seen in his career before. With that in mind, expect him to be once again forwardly placed here.

#5 PLATINUM WARRIOR (IRE) is one of two John Sadler runners entered. This guy finished three parts of a length behind #3 CHICAGO STYLE last time out and is a horse that appreciates longer distances. In fact, he ran fourth in the Secretariat (G1) at Arlington Park last summer. Longshot possibility.

#6 SEJO (IRE) is the second Sadler entrant. He makes his first start in North America after two handicap wins in France over the summer. Hasn’t been seen in almost seven months, but Sadler wins at 22% with his equines making their first start off a vacation longer than 180 days. First time Lasix plus Flavien Prat has the mount, which only adds to the appeal.

#7 DABSTER makes his first start on turf for trainer Bob Baffert. Son of CURLN has the pedigree to like the lawn, being by a Smart Strike stallion and out of an A.P. Indy mare. Speed figures indicate he can compete with the best in here too. Interesting contender.

#8 BEACH VIEW ran third in the Hollywood Turf Cup (G2) behind #3 CHIICAGO STYLE two starts ago when suffering a traffic filled trip. He came back to finish fourth in the San Antonio (G2), well beaten by GIFT BOX, BATTLE OF MIDWAY and #7 DABSTER. Two of his three career wins have come on turf and he makes his third start in his current form cycle for trainer Leonard Powell. Wouldn’t discount.

#9 LUCKY SOUL broke his maiden for $75K going a mile-and-an-eighth on turf.  He has finished off the board in his last two races against easier company. Will go off at a big price.

#10 FLAMBOYANT (FR) finished midpack behind #3 CHICAGO STYLE, #5 PLATINUM WARRIOR and #8 BEACH VIEW in the San Gabriel (G2) last time out. His last win came at Golden Gate Fields in the San Francisco Mile (G3) six starts back. A notch or two below the best contenders.

#11 INDIA MANTUANA is a mare facing males. Her inconsistent form has this ‘capper looking elsewhere.

#12 YA GOTTA WANNA removes blinkers after two off-the-board finishes against #3 CHICAGO STYLE and #4 EPICAL. In previous races, he has also finished behind #1 UNAPOLOGETIC, #7 DABSTER and #8 BEACH VIEW. Looks outclassed on paper.

#13 PRINCE OF ARABIA drew a brutal post position and must turn the tables on #8 BEACH VIEW, who beat him by 16 lengths on dirt last time out. Passing.
