2016 was a great year. Before all my bad habits came to light.

My only “kids today will never” ism is- kids today will never feel the joy of sneaking under the curtain blocking the regular video aisles from the “Horror Movie” section of the local video store ((that was too inappropriate to be among the Family friendly aisle)) just to see what the adults are hiding from you.

“Old Desert Town”

What once was a great place to stop on a trek through the Mojave Desert is now a shell of a pleasanter time. The abandoned buildings that were once full of life and brightness are now a quiet and lonely places, especially on cold nights. The dirt winds, birds, and coyotes are the only sounds this town will hear nowadays. The only other activities to be heard and seen are the passing trains. Long ago, it was a stop for passenger and freight trains due to the heat. Nowadays, Amtrak just passes through while the freights lumber by with their load of cargo. The only people to even stop by anymore are the lonely travelers who wants to see the ruins and wilderness, or watch the trains with their cameras. It's not much as compared to the golden years, but it's company nonetheless.

Pins production update

Hey everyone! I thought it would be cool to show you how the pride pins are made. Here are some production photos the manufacturer sent me this week! (:

First a mold is made.

Then a blank pin.

The coloring starts. In order to avoid colors mixing, only one color is manually added each time (a time consuming process).

After finishing one color, the pins are placed into an oven for more than two hours to make the first color dry. This process repeats until all colors are added. Most pins have 5+ colors!

Then the pins get polished and plated (keep in mind that none of the pins shown here are finished)

That is the update for now! Production should be finished August 13. Then it takes another 2-3 weeks to ship (air freight) to the fulfilment centers I work with in the US and EU. Shipping starts September! Thank you everyone for supporting this project! Stay proud! ⚔️🌈 ~ Roderick
