Hetalia Favorite Pairings

Personal opinion, of course. I have this thing when somehow I always end up shipping rare pairings.

Wanted to list them to do something, so here there are:

1) Spaus. There is not discussing it, this is my favourite pairing in all Hetalia. You won’t believe the time I have spent reading all sorts of news and curiosity facts on the internet regarding those two(and history too, but no so closely). How the trough of this not well known marriage, and how the subtetly of this pairing is what mekes it so great. Nothing makes me happier than reading a fic of roderich interacting with the Bad Touch Trio and seeing the author realising that “hey, Austria and Spain have this weird chemistry between them” (and then the realization tha yes, they have history together, even if they never talk about it)

(the video Just be friends of them is the reason a lot of us got into it, but not only their Hasburg dynamic is wonderful, I like the modern we are divorced and moved on but we are in good terms too)

It has happened more than once(not a lot of times, but more than once) Everything I read of them is wonderfull, and their relashionship, being present, past or friendship, when well portrayed leaves me so happy.

2) Romechu. RomeChina. Silk Road Pair. The two empires in a long distance relashionship.(It is cute because despise both being conquerors and proud they had the ulmost respect for one another. The empire of West and East, And that is so romantic) I started liling this because HAVE YOU SEEN THE FANART? It is gorgeus.(little as it is)And becuase more drama for CHina, having a love dissapear(and because Rome is older than the modern nations, but is funny because China is older anyways) Love them being both friends with Germania too.

(Also, we got a pararell to the HRE giving Italy flowers scene but with China receiving a cat from Rome, a thing all pairings would want to have (gods know I want one for Spaus) but a really rare pairing got it. now that is what I call ship tease)

3)Pritz, orPruFritz. This is actually recent(well no, but my grown of interest in it is) and it really surprised me how actually popular this pairing is. Like yes it is a rarepair compared to Prussia more popular pairings, but it has an strong following for an human-nation pairing than I didn't expect (I totally love it)

And, getting off-track a bit and talking more generic and not only romantic wise ,  Fritz is big to Prussia and it being recognized in the fandom makes me happy.

My headcanons about this relashionship are long, specially cosidering my headcanons for Prussia himself are long (they mostly revolve on the fact that he started as an german order and now the german order is all that is left and how ironic is that, and the fact that once you read one of two fics that greatly feature asexual gilbert the idea clicks so hard it youcan’t get it out of your mind (I actually believe he is more a demi.sexual but celibate, and there is a strong reason for that apart of being an religious order, even if it is related in a way) and Pritz is the most romantic but not sexual knight and king story (and both gilbert and friederich learning to open their minds about the other, and the problems in the middle, and maybe them not actally being in a relashionship but only very much in love))

sorry about that, my hand slipped. But I love these two being  romantic  or friends  or in the messy in between. And the fics are great.

(Also love Fritz x Katte, Fritz and Voltaire are drama besties)

(Also, as a person who headcanoned Prussia playing the flute for this dynamic for a long while before Private concert, the strip is so gratificating, four years(or more) headcanon being confirmed? you are in the air(and then hima shots the gun at your celebrating heart and shatters it.))

4)NethCan This ship is the definition of adorable. Reading than Neth gifts Canada so many tulips every year is so romantic. And how close they are, they can travel between them without almost any control, and despise being apart on the globe theyare so close. Love it. (Also, the knowledge from Hetalia Fantasia than Canada is a surprising difficult to trick customer(and frugal) makes me like the pairing more)

And recently HIma drawn Netherlands giving Canada a ride to england, way before all the shippers expected to be an interaction. These two cuties are too much for me.

5) NorthItalyxGermanyxSouthItaly, GermanyxbothItaly. That germano video of I am not that girl is to blame for all my love to this ultra rare pairing.

Basically SItaly for all his tsundere things actually likes germany bastard and is jealous (if we got by hre=germany, or even if don’t because even if they are not it woudn’t matter on romano sentiments ride, southItaly saw Holy roman empire in crossroad going to battlefield, and actually was the last to see him go, or romano seeing germany during the risorgimento (we know northItaly didn't meet him until WWI, but maybe young germany helped or sothing, or romano took care of him, and there is the situation of this is the boy feli likes too)) I really like it.

Also, because the fact that Germany would accomplish Spain dream without even proposing to is too hilarious for me not to like it.

And there it is for now. I am sure I am forgeting some but I will actualize this post later. (and add some links, maybe)

Love the idea of Teutonic (Prussia), Hospitaller(Malta) and Templar(...sob...) being a sort of odd friends (calling each other “Mary” ”John” and ”Solomon” respectivably (I made a post on that before haha)) when children. 

and Bad Touch Trio somentimes reminds Prussia of it,(and it is conflicting) but it is between the big amount of things the three of them remind each other of.

Ob das Urteil gegenüber Katte gerechtfertigt war, darüber lässt sich streiten. Jedoch gibt es bei dieser ganzen Angelegenheit einen Fakt den ihr im Kopf haben solltet wenn ihr über das Urteil des Königs urteilt:

Im Januar 1730 kam es in Potsdam zu einem großen Desertionskomplott unter ca. 40 Gardegrenadiere des Königsregiments Nr. 6 (lange Kerls). Jedoch flog diese Angelegenheit noch vor ihrer Durchführung auf. Die Beteiligten wurden trotz allem ins Verhör genommen, kriegsrechtlich verurteilt und öffentlich Bestraft. Einer der drei Grenadiere, welche als Haupträdelsanführer galten, wurde mit glühenden Zangen verletzt. Danach hackte man ihm die Schwurfinger ab und hängte ihn. Der Zweite musste ebenfalls durch die Zangen-Folter durch bevor man ihm die Nase und die Ohren abschnitt und ihn danach halbtot ins Spandauer Festungszuchthaus brachte wo er verstarb und der Dritte wurde vom Scharfrichter geohrfeigt und ausgepeitscht bevor man ihn in die Haft brachte. Die Übrigen mussten den Spießrutenlauf hinter sich bringen bevor sie für eine gewisse Zeit lang nach Spandau kamen.

 So kann es kaum verwunderlich sein das der König im August 1730 einen erneuten Komplott vermutete, sowie weitere Beteiligte neben Kronprinz, Keith und Katte mutmaßte, und sie Nötigens mit Folter zur Wahrheit treiben wollte. Grumbkow konnte ihn allerdings dazu bewegen diese Mittel bei den Angeklagten in diesem Falle nicht anzuwenden...

Hans Hermann von Katte, ein preußischer Offizier, führt eine durchaus enge Freundschaft zu dem Kronprinzen Friedrich. Dieser steht in einem ständigen Konflikt zu seinem Vater König Friedrich Wilhelm I. Bei Hans findet Friedrich ein offenes Ohr und Trost. Doch ungefährlich ist diese Freundschaft für beide nicht denn Hans steht im strengen Dienste des Königs und hat ihm treu und ergeben zu sein während Friedrichs Verhalten immer mehr auf Konflikt und Widerstand gegen den Vater und König auswächst...

Am 28 Oktober 1730 verhängten neun Offiziere über Hans Hermann von Katte die Todesstrafe und sieben stimmten für die lebenslängliche Festungshaft. Jedoch zählten ihre Stimmen nicht einzeln sondern klassenweise. Damit kam das Ergebniss das drei Klassen auf Tod und drei auf Haft stimmten. Hans hätte Glück haben können denn bei einer Stimmengleichheit der Klassen kam das mildere Urteil zum Zuge. Doch Friedrich Wilhelm I. wollte diese Abstimmung nicht akzeptieren und schickte am 29 Oktober den Spruch zurück. "Sie sollen Recht sprechen und nit mit dem Flederwisch vorüber gehen. Da Katte also wohll getahn, soll das Krichgericht wieder zusammenkommen und eine aneres sprechen."
