Come Closer
Come Closer
Wizkid ft. Drake (March 31, 2017)
This collaboration between Drake and Wizkid is the second song off of Wizkid's album called Sounds From The Other Side. It's a tropical love song where both men talk about the women, they want to put in their life. In his verse, Wizkid is relishing in his fame drinking with women that make him feel good. He's looking for the kind of love he can feel (physically), he doesn't care to chase after a woman when he has a lot of options currently. "When me tune drop, the girls, they bounce along/Me no let nothing come between me and me paper."
Drake's verse however, is different from the tone of Wizkid's. "Too mix up in drama to go outside/Too mix up in drama to free my mind." For the past few years he's been dealing with the beef with Meek, beef with old heads in hip-hop, and dealing with the aftermath of a bad breakup with Rihanna. He wants to step out of the hot seat and just chill so he can think clearly. He has too many jealous people around him that want to see him fail; he needs a change in pace. "What would I do without you, my chargie?/I don't feel that way with anybody/Tell me your secrets, I'm not messy." Chargie is Jamaican Patois for the word "friend", first popularized by the singer Popcaan. Despite having Trinidadian roots, Nicki Minaj has always been more comfortable speaking Jamaican Patois rather than her own Trinidadian dialect because she lived in an area in New York around a lot of Jamaican immigrants and naturally grew up using Patois more. I say this to say, Nicki is very familiar with Jamaican culture and loves speaking Patois around Drake.
They are friends but Drake knows they can be more because he doesn't feel the same with anyone else like he does with her. "Steady it for me, girl, hold steady/I wanna put you in my life/Your hair smell like the tropics, your body look nice." He wants Nicki to be patient with him and just follow his lead. When he mentions the tropics, Drake is referring to when Nicki celebrated her birthday (the year prior) in the Turks and Caicos Islands. "One fuck cyaan hold me, we gotta go twice/I'm here for you, just tell me what you like/I wanna put you in my life." Being with her once isn't enough for him, he doesn't want Nicki around as a casual fuck but as a full on romantic partner. One of the more emotional parts of the year for them was in March when Nicki appeared in a few stops for Drake's Boy Meets World Tour. The energy between them was palpable. When they were onstage together, neither one of them wanted to let go of the other. I personally feel like outside of the tour, the two of them spent a lot of much needed one on one time in Paris together — bringing them closer together during one of the rockiest points in Nicki's career.

FT Island Concert 26102017 - Amsterdam
Pre Concert:
To be honest, I always liked FT Island, just never really listened to their songs on repeat. I always knew that they were kings, just never took the time to get into them. You have to know that I originally am from a more rock/hardcore background musically wise, before I got into kpop.
Me and my bestie saw that they’d be in Amsterdam and I was HYPE while she wasn’t. We still decided later on to go to the concert, since they started selling tickets two weeks ago and there were still plenty tickets left We chose the Soundcheck ones because FT Island is a band at the end of the day. Their Fanbase (Primadonnas) are pretty chill from what I experienced. Really mature. They calmly organized everything. (towels, lightsticks, songs, ect.)
Categories and Prices as follows:
General Admission: 55 €
Soundcheck Package: 135 €
Hightouch Package: 155 €
Concert day:
We got ready pretty late and went to the concert at around 4 pm (we got there a bit early since we didn’t really know the way)
Timetable as follows:
16:30 Line Up starts
17:10 Souncheck Package ticket buyers enter the venue
17:40 Soundcheck ends (Souncheck people rejoin the line)
19:00 Doors open
20:00 Show starts
22;00 Show ends
22:30 High-Touch starts
There was no reason to camp since everyone had to stand in line according to their ticketnumbers. There were about 50 soundcheck people that went in on time. The Souncheck was pretty cozy. I stood right in front of Jaejin (Who’s probably my “bias“ in this case. I just have a weakness for people playing the bass) The stage hat 4 boxes in front of it where Hongki could step onto (And the others as well) He took his time to test each box, using the time to make eyecontact with everyone. The Boys seemed really tired but were joking around, saying stuff like "goodbye..... Forever" When we left the soundcheck
After leaving the venue we waited until we could go inside. We were actually allowed to go in 30 mins early (Probably because we were freezing) They sold “Inofficial“ [According to MyMusicTaste] merch [But the boys wore the merch as well sooo…] We waited for 1,5 hrs until the concert started. It was really fun (unconciously stood in front of Jaejin another time, oh well) Hongki spoke most of the time, He tried to speak English a lot (Unfortunately we only had a dutch translator, something that bothered me at all my concerts up to now. There is a huge international crowd.) He was the perfect entertainer and played around with the crowd (I have to admit, we effed up a few times with singing, which is only understandable considering we don’t speak Korean) The boys were laughing quite a lot, engaging with the crowd. (I personally don’t like when fanbases just throw stuff of their country on stage during the concert, hence, the Spanish flag thrown at Jaejin [which he didn’t recognize] bothered me a bit. Just ask if you can hand in presents. But that’s a personal thing I just want us to be “Primadonnas” and not be devided into “German-” “Russian-” “Spanish-” ect “-Primadonnas”) Unfortunately Tumblr won’t let me post pictures but lemme tell you - Hongki threw water With His bottle At The end and my glasses plus my stomach (yay crop top) We’re FREAKING wet Bonus :HE LIKED MY FUCKING INSTAGRAM POST 😍

Similar to the last music video “Last Of Me ft. RUNN” by Steve Aoki, Arknights produced a special animation for this collaboration song, showcasing the heart-pumping battle between Rhodes Island and Sarkaz warriors. Both the soundtrack and the music video of “End Like This ” are inspired by Arknights storyline Episode 7 - “The Birth of Tragedy”.
Tumblr media
Continuing from the last music video “Last Of Me”, where introduced Lungmen City and experienced FrostNova’s struggle, Arknights introduces more about the world of Terra in “End Like This ft. RUNN” by expanding new plots, territories, and characters. Through the video, time is framed in the climax of the battle. With the intense fighting being visualized into animation, fans will be able to walk through the journey with Amiya again to witness the riot in Nomadic city Chernobog, with Rosmontis using her power to fight against enemies, and nevertheless, the growth of Amiya in the final battle with Patriot.
Tumblr media
As Steve Aoki mentioned in his greetings to Arknights players, this theme song brings Arknights’ music video collaboration to a new level. The music video fits well with both lyrics and beats, ensuring all audiences to experience the immersive world of Arknights. Whether being an Arknights fan or not, everyone  will sync with the story and feel the emotions of each character.
“End Like This ft. RUNN” has successfully completed the final piece of Arknights 2020 music roadmap. It all started with the first soundtrack “Save Us From Ourselves” by Bear Grillz, one of the talented musicians under Dim Mak, Steve Aoki’s music label. Moreover, the appearances of Yellow Claw and Steve Aoki enriched Arknights community and attracted a wider variety of audiences.
Now with this new collaboration song, the Arknights global server has presented six collaboration soundtracks to players. Along with the track, players can identify the core of each event. In the year 2021, more collaboration information is on the way and will be unveiled.

The Art Gallery of New South Wales today kicked off its 150th anniversary celebrations with a burst of colour and light, collaborating for the first time with the Sydney Opera House to mark the annual Badu Gili festival of First Nations Culture by projecting artworks onto the iconic sails of the Opera House.
The work of six leading Aboriginal women artists represented in the Art Gallery’s permanent collection will light up each evening in a six-minute animation on the sails, as the Gallery leads up to the completion in 2022 of its Sydney Modern expansion project, designed by SANAA.

Michael Brand, Director, Art Gallery of New South Wales, said, “Badu Gili: Wonder Women celebrates our renowned First Nations artists and their works in the Gallery’s collection, as well as our deep and longstanding relationships with communities across Australia and our curatorial leadership.
“While we work to complete our expanded art museum campus through the Sydney Modern Project that will see First Nations art displayed front and centre, we are proud to share some of our collection highlights with the world on the sails of the Sydney Opera House,” Brand said.
Badu Gili The Sydney Opera House inaugurated Badu Gili in 2017. Badu Gili 2021: Wonder Women, curated by the Art Gallery’s Curator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art, Coby Edgar, is a creative collaboration with the Opera House to mark the Gallery’s 150th anniversary.
Badu Gili 2021: Wonder Women weaves together the work of artists from across Australia: Wadawurrung elder Marlene Gilson; Yankunytjatjara woman Kaylene Whiskey; Luritja woman Sally Mulda; Western Arrarnta women Judith Inkamala and Marlene Rubuntja, and the late Kamilaroi woman Aunty Elaine Russell. This is the first all-female line-up for Badu Gili.
The animation of their works brings to life stories of shared histories. From the Battle of the Eureka Stockade, fought between rebellious gold miners and colonial forces and the devastating bushfires of 2019-20, to everyday life in Aboriginal communities and imagined worlds of superheroes that includes the country music star, Dolly Parton.
The spectacular animation of artworks from the Art Gallery’s collection will appear hourly on the Opera House’s eastern Bennelong sails each night from sunset, enabled by the NSW Government’s Culture Up Late initiative.

150th Exhibition Programme The Art Gallery’s 150th anniversary celebrations are notable for the special exhibitions that will be organised and presented. Highlights include:
To 5 September 2021 The National 2021: New Australian Art Staged across Sydney concurrently at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Carriageworks, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, presenting the work of 39 emerging, mid-career and established Australian artists.
5 June – 26 September 2021 Archie 100: A century of the Archibald Prize One of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious art awards. Judged by the trustees of the Art Gallery of NSW and awarded to the best portrait painting, the Archibald Prize exhibition is a “who’s who” of Australian culture – from politicians to celebrities, sporting heroes to artists. The exhibition tours across Australia until August 2023. The 2021 Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes will run concurrently.
12 June – 19 September 2021 Hilma af Klint: The Secret Paintings The first major survey of this visionary artist’s work to be shown in the Asia Pacific region, more than a century after she painted her most celebrated works. Presented in association with the Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne and in cooperation with The Hilma af Klint Foundation, Stockholm, this new exhibition will feature 100 works.
October 2021 – 2022 Matisse Alive A gallery-wide festival, Matisse Alive, includes four new works by women artists who present contemporary perspectives on Matisse’s imaginings of the Pacific, and his representation of the female figure.
20 November 2021 – 13 March 2022 Matisse: Life and Spirit, Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou, Paris Part of the Sydney International Art Series, the exhibition offers an extraordinary immersion in the range and depth of the art of Henri Matisse, with more than 100 works spanning six decades.
The Sydney Modern Project The anniversary celebrations will culminate with the grand opening of the Sydney Modern Project, the transformation of Sydney’s flagship public art museum. This major expansion, funded by the New South Wales State government and private donors, is scheduled for completion in 2022. It includes the development of a new standalone building designed by the Japanese Pritzker Prize-winning architects SANAA. It will be connected to the existing Art Gallery building via a public art garden, creating a civic campus on its magnificent site, adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and overlooking Sydney Harbour.
The Sydney Modern Project will give prominence to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, as well as revitalising the Gallery’s much-loved existing building with its unrivalled collection of Australian art from the early 19th-century to the present. For more than half a century, the Gallery has been at the forefront of collecting, displaying and interpreting historic and contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, and in engaging directly with artists and their communities.
The new building designed by SANAA will sit in contrast to the Gallery’s 19th-century neo-classical building. Light, transparent and open to its surroundings, SANAA’s building responds to the site’s topography with a series of pavilions that cascade towards Sydney Harbour with spectacular views. The expansion will almost double the Gallery’s total exhibition space, from 9,000 to 16,000 sqm (97,000 to 172,000 sq. ft) and will feature galleries specifically designed to accommodate art of the 21st century.
The new building will incorporate a vast, dramatic, columned underground art space repurposed from a decommissioned WWII naval oil tank that will display large-scale contemporary works. The 2,200 sqm (23,700 sq. ft) gallery with 7-metre-high (23 ft) ceilings will be used for specially commissioned installations and site-specific performances, providing public access to this unique space for the first time.
From the time of its founding in 1871, the Gallery has collected and worked with the artists of its time from both Australia and abroad, a commitment that will remain central to the transformed art museum.
To coincide with the anniversary, a new book will be published on 150 years of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

On Gadigal land The Art Gallery of New South Wales acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which it is located, the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.
Art Gallery of New South Wales | Sydney, Australia From its magnificent site in Sydney, the Art Gallery of NSW is one of Australia’s flagship art museums and the state’s leading visual arts institution. The Gallery’s mission is to serve the widest possible audience as a centre of excellence for the collection, preservation, documentation, interpretation and display of Australian and international art, and a forum of scholarship, art education and the exchange of ideas.
Celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2021, as it embarks on a significant expansion, the Gallery remains committed to making art a vital part of everyday life. The Gallery’s transformation – the Sydney Modern Project – will create a new art museum experience across two buildings connected by a public art garden in one of the world’s most beautiful cultural precincts. The Gallery’s new building, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects, SANAA, brings together art, architecture and landscape in spectacular new ways with dynamic galleries and seamless connections between indoor and outdoor spaces. It will be a new prominent destination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture. The expansion is scheduled for completion in 2022.

An Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) contact between youngsters and youth in Moldova and an International Space Station (ISS) crew member is set for March 3. The Moldova Peace Corps (MPC) is the hosting organization, and 90 students (aged 10 – 18) from a consortium of educational institutions, rural schools, and libraries from nine Moldovan villages will participate.
MPC promotes economic and civic development with a particular focus on developing local resources in rural and suburban communities. Another focus of MPC is to provide youth in Moldovan villages with access to STEM opportunities and build capacity among local teachers/librarians to implement STEM activities in their curricula.
During the multipoint telebridge contact, students will take turns asking questions of astronaut Mike Hopkins, KF5LJG. ARISS team member David Payne, NA7V, in Oregon will serve as the relay amateur radio station.
In support of this contact, the MPC partnered with the staff at the Centre of Excellence for Space Sciences and Technologies within the Technical University of Moldova (UTM), the US Peace Corps Volunteer Coordinator, and the participating schools and libraries. The contact will be livestreamed via the MPC and UTM Facebook pages.

AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL WANDERERS
This was something I have written in January 2017, before I moved to Sydney. I never got the chance to publish it here, so I’m doing it now.
Dear Wanderers,
Do not just explore. Start traveling with a purpose. Traveling has been on mainstream since social media emerged and everyone seems to be travel-thirsty. For some, to travel means to unwind from an 8-hr office job while sipping on a glass of fruit shake at a luxurious resort. For others, it’s climbing mountains and taking long treks to soul search. For adrenaline junkies, it may be deep-sea diving, exploring caves in some island to go spelunking, or jumping on a cliff almost 20 ft. high. We all have our travel goals other than simply updating our Instagram feeds. I started my travels in 2005, tagging along side my Mom’s business trips domestic and abroad. I was a high school student then. Those were the days when I did not care about how many dollars I would be spending on food and leisure. All I wanted was to explore and take tours. Until one day, I started traveling on my own. I found myself taking bus rides with my friends to nearby provinces. Then later on, I started booking flight tickets and creating my own itineraries. Traveling made me realize something and I kept asking myself. Why do I travel? What do I want to see? What do I want to do?
If you are someone who knows me well, you would definitely know the answer to my questions. BEACH. OCEAN. SEASHORES. I am an ocean-lover and a self-proclaimed mermaid. At first, I thought I just wanted the mere sight of the blue waters stretching side to side while my feet touch the fine sands. I thought it was just my love for salty air and the smell of fresh seafood grilling by the sea-side. I thought I was just a fan of tan-lines but, I started caring. I feel terrible when I see plastics on sea beds and I started to think about the animals living in the waters. I started to read about ocean conservation, and I want to make more people aware about ocean pollution and how it greatly affects our lives. I want to raise awareness about responsible tourism and its direct impact on marine life.  As I traveled from island to island, I realized one thing. I love the sea so much. I want to care for it so bad. This was when I told myself, I found my purpose in traveling. I travel not just to explore and see the world. I travel to support an advocacy.
I started building FOTOS (Friends of the Ocean Society), a non-profit organization that aims to provide individuals a better knowledge on ocean and water conservation. Through every knowledge imparted to those who can potentially help, each of us can reach out to families in remote areas of the world to get access to clean drinking water. Also, through this, we would all be able to help marine scientists from all over the world to innovate solutions for global Marine Conservation. Through FOTOS, I would like to build bridges of information in schools, localities, and units of the society where social media and the web are inaccessible. I started all this with just my passion for the ocean and an ambition for change.
So dear wanderers, do not let traveling limit you with just exploring and taking strolls. I hope one day, we travel with a different perspective. Travel not just to see the sights. Travel with a purpose. I love the sea so much and I am sure a lot of you share that same love. With simple gestures such as picking up trash from the shores when you see one could be a really big help especially in the islands of the Philippines. Filipinos tend to be all excited when it comes to Tourism, that we sometimes forget how to properly care for the waters. If you love the beach so much, try to support an advocacy like ocean conservation or engage yourself in beneficial expeditions about water pollution. We can be the voice of the marine creatures suffering from water pollution, as well as those facing the dangers of extinction. If you love the mountains, take a hike to support environmental sustainability. If you love running and joining city marathons, start running for a cause. We can all make a difference by supporting an advocacy when we travel. We can all start by building campaigns for our chosen charity. Be brave in pursuing an advocacy. It’s OK to start small. It’s OK to take baby steps because everybody has to start somewhere. I have always believed in Lao Tzu’s cliche, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a simple step.” If you have the guts, the time, and the funds to travel, let’s make it count. Trust me on this, while traveling itself teaches you a lot of life lessons, traveling with a purpose will help you know yourself deeper. You will see the world in a broader point of view.
As of the moment, I know I am on the right path. I do not just travel to see the world. I travel to be the voice of the thousands of beings living in the waters and by the waters.
I am writing this to you with just a few days left in Manila to start a new journey in Australia. I want to bring FOTOS there and take it to the surfaces and coasts down under. Someday, one day, maybe… in God’s perfect timing, hopefully I get to support an advocacy for the Great Barrier Reef. So dear wanderers, I hope that one day you find your advocacy while you travel and if you find it, let it be your purpose.
With Love,
(who is transiting in Seoul for the next few days and flying to Sydney for a long-term stay)
Find your voice in the world. Tell us about your advocacy. Always remember, the world listens. If you would like to know more about FOTOS and my Ocean Conservation and Responsible Tourism Advocacy, please click the link. (http://wanderbitesbybobbie.com/join-my-advocacy/)

The National Botanic Garden of Wales Llanarthney  Carmarthenshire Wales
I spent a full day visiting these gardens during my tour of South Wales in May 2017.
**************************************************************
The garden is both a visitor attraction and a centre for botanical research and conservation, and features the world's largest single-span glasshouse measuring 110 m (360 ft) long by 60 m (200 ft) wide
The Middleton family from built a mansion here in the early 17th century. In 1789 Sir William Paxton bought the estate to create a water park. Water flowed around the estate via a system of interconnecting lakes, ponds and streams linked by a network of dams, water sluices, bridges and cascades. In 1931, the mansion was completely gutted by fire, leaving only the walls standing.
The idea for a National Botanic Garden of Wales originated from the Welsh artist, William Wilkins.
Virtually on the site of Cockerell's mansion, the Great Glasshouse now forms the centrepiece. Much of the original water-scape has been restored, and extended by introducing cascades to the western approach to the Glasshouse.
The Garden was opened to the public for the first time on 24 May 2000.
The Great Glasshouse with a roof containing 785 panes of glass houses plants from several Mediterranean climate regions, the plants are divided into sections from Chile, Western Australia, South Africa, California, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean itself.
The Double Walled Garden has been rebuilt from the ruins, and is being developed to house a wide variety of plants, including a modern interpretation of a kitchen garden in one quarter, and ornamental beds to display the classification and evolution of all flowering plant families in the other three quarters.
In 2007, a new Tropical Glasshouse, designed by Welsh architect John Belle, was opened to continue the classification displays with tropical monocotyledons.

Day 19: June 14, 2017
Props to our first night in the rainforest & not being eaten by crocodiles! BUT I really wish someone would have told us just how damp we would all feel. I grew up predominantly in the south so I know humidity, but the rainforest?! Our sheets? Damp. Our towels? Damp. Our existence? Damp lol. Just know that the humidity got to everything hahah.
Breakfast was normal as usual despite the most unusual facet of my all my breakfast experiences put together. This abdominal force is known as Vegemite.   Now I knew that I had to try this thick, dark pasted before I left. Not only because it is a staple of Australia but also because you can't get this substance in the US. After hearing other people's responses to the paste, I knew that I wouldn't want a whole mouthful so I sparingly spread a little bit of the paste on the crust of a sliver of my toast. My first thoughts were: why is this so dark, so potent, so enjoyed by thousands? But nothing would've prepared me for the taste. The taste... Lord have mercy, nothing can prepare you for the taste. Thick, salty, soy sauce paste is my best description. As you can probably tell, I was not fond of Vegemite and could not swallow the substance lol.
After breakfast we loaded the yellow buses for the Discovery Centre. During our stay in the rainforest we have accompanied a new guide, Paul thus Paul accompanied us on the activity today. Using our sound reasoning, we thought that the Discovery Centre would be the same as our other museum tours where we wonder around at our own leisure. Oh boy we're wrong. Not dissing our guide at all, we really enjoyed his presence and all the knowledge he contained, but we were not expecting to be standing outside the entrance for an hour. You would've thought we were a bunch of kindergarteners the way we were fidgeting around lol. We also didn't know that after his hour speech that once we got in he wanted to sit us down and talk again. It was definitely an experience.  I love how he broke down the importance of the rainforest medicinally because a lot of people don’t know how many of our medicinal treatments are from the wonders of our rainforests. In the Centre there was a canopy tower and the view of course, was AMAZING!  We were also gifted by the great Lord Almighty to be graced with seeing a Cassowary in person! Now Paul said that Cassowaries are modern day dinosaurs and he was not lying! It was crazy because we were so close! He even said that out of all the groups that he has been a part of he has never SEEN one in person with them. We were so lucky! This also happened again, when we saw a very rare spider that National Geographer literally kills to get footage of because they’re so rare. And because of us Paul was able to get that footage.
After the Discovery Centre we stopped by John Rumney (the GBR expert)  daughter's world renown ice cream shop, Daintree Ice Cream Co.  When he was describing her shop, he was so passionate and you could tell that he was proud of his daughter. He told us that her shop features flavors that you will never get anywhere else in the world. You know why? Because all the flavors that are served are grown on their land and change everyday and sometimes during the day.  The flavors offered today were soursop, raspberry, passion fruit, and wattle seed. I am so glad that we came at the time we did because right after we got our ice-cream the shop flooded with people. By far, my favorite was the raspberry, it was nice and smooth.  Here’s how I described the other flavors:
Soursop : creamy, citrus-like, yogurty, very bizarre, could be related to coconuts
Raspberry : delicious, sweet, not too tart, perfect
Passion fruit : delicious, pineapple-berry like, very fresh and vibrant.  It had seeds that were crunchy which interrupted the taste a little bit
Wattleseed : coffee-like, who ever thought there is a fruit that tastes like coffee lol
After ice cream we headed back to the hotel to get ready for our jungle surfing! Ashley and I should definitely become scouts and recruiters because we rallied 9 other people to come with us. We gave those people almost $1000 because of our efforts. We were very proud about that. After convincing Kayla to come ziplining we had: Morgan, Cody, Faith, Ali, Lanie, Delilah, Dakota, Cassie and Marissa. We needed a thirteenth person so luckily there was girl from England that needed a group.  We adopted her and she was amazing.  She told us all about she just graduated med school at 23 because in England you don’t have to do four years of undergrad. She said that if you have the grades out of high school you can go directly. Y’all I should’ve went to school in England lol.
Thankfully, the company sends a van to pick us all up so it was absolutely perfect! Once we got to the location, we had to sign some paperwork and received a cool scarf thing. Being like every American or person in a rush, we didn’t fully read the Terms and Conditions which we would son realize was a mistake lol.  After signing papers we headed up the mountain a little bit to get suited up. Up the mountain we were given our harnesses and our helmets. The helmets were cool because we were all given fictional names and mine was Xena, the Warrior Princess.  I don’t know who that is but I definitely embody a warrior princess.
After gearing up we hiked up a huge mountain. Thankfully we were prepared because we had been climbing hills all during our stay at Sheoak Ridge. Once we made it to the top of the hill, there was a large hamster wheel and the first line.  Little did we know, we would be human hamsters and use our energy to propel our friends up into the canopy. It was definitely fun and an experience. Morgan was my partner and we had a ball!
We literally had so much fun! The whole process took a little bit over 2 hours. There were six lines and they were all fun.  The first three were partner lines.  You know how I said that we didn’t read the terms and conditions? In the T&C we initialed that we said that we would hang upside down on a line. And the fourth one, we were instructed how to hang upside down. It was so sick! The fifth one was a single and it was so fast! Nothing compares to the drop feeling as you edge the drop-off to begin. The last one was a fast race between our partner. Luckily, me and Morgan tied so our bet was nulled lol.
While we were finishing ziplining we noticed from above that it was raining. The crazy thing was that we couldn’t even feel the raindrops because the canopy was lush! Like they were not joking about the canopy being such a shield!
After ziplining we headed over to another group dinner.  It was raining so hard and thanks to no canopy we were soaking wet! Ya girl was so tired from all of our adventures today. Also, I honestly can’t believe that the swing Ashley and I scheduled in Melbourne is tomorrow! It seems like it was forever ago that we signed up for the swing! And luckily we were able to recruit two others, Tristan and Cody. I can’t wait! Supposedly we’re supposed to be dropping from 155 ft!!
Things I've learned
- Vegemite is disgusting and super salty - the Daintree Rainforest is the worlds oldest rainforest - Australia had slaves, but called it different. Would invade islands off the coast at gun point "blackbird, colacka" - All primary rainforests besides daintree need an expedition in order to get to it. Hiking and helicopters - We are the first study abroad student group that has seen a cassowary on the ground in person
