Queen of Tears is so interesting cause i've never dealt with two really complex leads like this in romcom (i mean it is funny)
i've said it before but Haein and Hyunwoo know each other very well but don't know each other at all (i don't know if i've ever seen communication issues this bad).
Losing the baby clearly drove them apart. She blamed herself and put up high walls. He wears his heart on his sleeve and cried over it. We can argue that he should've comforted her in that moment but at the same time she clearly knew he was upset so why didn't she go to him? Haein thought she had no right to grieve and consequently Hyunwoo thought she didn't grieve at all. The moment where they needed each other more than ever- the moment they should've been together they both fucked up.
The core of the issue is that they can't read each other's mind, this is literally said at the beginning of 6- they love each other dearly but also tripping over each in the process.
Outside of Hyunwoo jumping up and down at her diagnosis and faking his way into her will (which was painfully cruel and soooo funny) It's very clear that this is a two person game. Although I always interpreted Hyunwoo's joy as the same as the mistress of a wealthy man who is just waiting for him to die so she can get the money, (it's mean but most times the master either sucks or he's naive as hell and she has no reason to mourn) and at that point Hyunwoo's in the same situation.
Why didn't Haein defend him in front of her relatives? Why scold him publicly in front of the employees? She does a lot of things behind the scenes but good intentions can only go so far if object of those affections is ignorant of the full story. The same thing happens in episode 6, she is trying to protect Hyunwoo from her family but without telling him so he is ignorant of the big picture. Why wasn't Hyunwoo honest with his feelings? Why is he always assuming the worst when she never explicitly says something? We see he tries to talk to her (it fails) but his fear of upsetting her leads him to do otherwise cruel things to keep her happy.
Which is also why the divorce paper is so interesting. That paper was one of the best things he’s done. He was completely justified in writing that. It breaks Haein's heart but severing ties like that was way healthier than him forcing himself to stay in this marriage and pamper her with fake love.
One thing I will admire this piece for is the role reversal, like i'm seeing so many typical fl tropes on Hyunwoo and ml tropes on Haein. You ever read one those isekai or time reverse manwha's were the fl goes back in time to get a divorce but falls in love with her partner again? yeah this is the same exact thing.

-. anyways patrick-core pt. 1 (shitpost energy)
would probably get even luckier in casting him if i looked at manhwa's instead of animanga, but whatever
blonde men/masc-presenting folks need to be BASTARDS -slams hand on table- BASTARDS I TELL YOU
"i don't care" (cares so much it makes him physically sick)
he's just a mother without a child, stop being mean to him
just because he's a mother doesn't mean he isn't that bitch, he very much is
patrick is fun to have around if you sic him on the patriarchy
patrick is not fun to have around if he genuinely fears for his life, he will bite through anything to get out (including friends)
is not inherently violent, doesn't mean he can't be violent
if he has to crane his neck to look at you, he's out
is really weird about tyr and his relationship to him
is actually really weird about everything, there is NOTHING he can be normal about, absolutely nothing
don't initiate casual physical contact out of nowhere it'll be like in the sims when you fuck up so bad it fills out the relationship bar all red in one go
doesn't eat around others
like... really weird about eating around others he just simply won't, you'll have an easier time getting him to hold your hand then you will getting him to eat around you
a few fun facts about how he eats because no one will ever see it lmao: tiny bites, chews the appropriate amount of time (??? dfkjgkfldg), makes the funniest faces when something gets stuck in his teeth he hates that he stops eating all-together if it pisses him off too much, if something is too big and he'd have to bite into it sideways (like a burger) he'll break it into smaller pieces
do you know just how big fenrir was? how dangerous? the norse all-father pissed his pants every night thinking about him, do you understand--... patrick misses this more than he lets on
if you suddenly grab him for whatever reason, try to hug him all of a sudden or pull him out of the way or do the thing where you're running and try to drag him along, unfortunately for you, you will get hit
he's genuinely so fking funny if you just let him make faces at you because he makes them a lot, he's just very good at hiding them/making them whenever no one's looking
like, deadass, he doesn't comment even on the wildest bullshit, but the absolute range of expressions he's secretly performing behind the back of whoever is spouting said bullshit, artistic, almost
patrick's character resolves solely around a very composed character suffering under intense self-imposed self-control where nearly every aspect about his being is purposefully portrayed as such, all while, hidden beneath this control, hide two wolves: the part of patrick who wants to steal a cop car and drive it into a tree, and the part of patrick who wants to be kissed very softly on his cheekie
if you tell him a very stupid, dangerous idea, patrick will very calmly suggest you absolutely do not do that, but depending on your relationship, he will actively sabotage the situation until you end up forced to enact that idea and then he'll pretend he's not having the time of his life
like, i cannot stress how much of a bastard he is if you get on his bad side, and i don't mean the bad side where he'll just violently avoid you (he's more avoidant than prone to conflict) but the part where he thinks you're just sort of shitty and because you are, he's absolutely within his rights to openly fuck with you
he's loki's eldest, mind you
doesn't even resent loki & angrboda, didn't even know those guys, whatever
my lovely wolfie here has range~, meaning you can damsel-in-distress-ify him easily, but if the mood strikes he's the dragon you should run from

Hiii local, friendly Feminist here!! To all the people labelling this manhwa as some sort of new wave feminist revisionist discourse masterpiece, I would like to say that it CAN'T be anything along those lines or even any variation of a broken feminist narrative because Feminism isn't a women's cause, it's a societal cause. Patriarchy isn't restricted to men or is singularly imbibed in men but is a system that anyone, even women can exploit. Duna, so far in her actions, has been extremely pro-patriarchal or reverse-patriarchal (which is not Feminist either), judging Minho's capacity by his penis size, chiding him for having masochistic tendencies, mocking him for not being the typical alpha male like Cha Wookyung, reducing him to his body, looks, fetishising and objectifying him and not even beginning to consider the possibility of him having any semblance of mental health that she might be actively affecting and bringing to ruin. Because let's be real, at no point does Duna go like oh, this man is clearly suffering from an inferiority complex from having all the women in life ridicule him for his alleged erectile dysfunction, the men bullying him because of his humble (read: poor) background and not so highly paying occupation as an adjunct, the nepotism he faces at work (let's be real, what fucking Dean in real life demands a published, popular "book" in exchange of a professorial tenure while saying "just like Duna did" even though that woman wasn't even stable enough to finish her major, while ALSO licking the boots of Cha Wookyung, the biggest daddy's tittie weaning, silver spoon bastard next to someone who actually worked hard on their degree, struggled to pay their tuition to the top and is still grinding no matter what WHILE ALSO giving an easy tenureship to foreign graduates because idk, their shit tastes sweeter? Like c'mon). Let's take Haesol, the male love interest who is supposed to be our "not like other men", who is skinny and young but is still essentially portrayed as someone who is comfortable in their sexuality because obviously no one sees his body and goes "oh you're definitely an alpha male" like they do with Minho, he also essentially has a large penis (not my words, author's), is better because he can sexually satisfy Duna? and ALSO bullies Byun Minho based on his income and sexual capacities, eventually going on to rape him along with Duna because ig being an ideal man means being a simp, having no spine or sense of right or wrong independent of your partner's whims.
Cha Wookyung is already a masterclass in patriarchal supremacy, a man fed off not by own talents but by his rich father's resources, withering his life away on deriving sad, sexual pleasure from raping, breaking and brutalising men (even though he's bisexual lol. Great bi representation right there). Let's also not forget that Duna is written AS A MAN. Essentially, a womanchild who drinks, swears, smokes, works, doesn't face any repercussions to her actions, cannot cook or clean and hence is entitled to come home to any variant of a malewife who she can rape, force to enact her twisted (non-consensual) fantasies and expect to clean and cook for her all because she makes some bucks outside the house and also she'll die if no one is constantly taking care of her, because self dependent women can't be strong feminist women icons I'm guessing. Lastly, rape is such a serious concept, it is the exploitation of a power dynamic mental or physical to sexually assault a person, it comes only in the top echelons of discussions that need to be had in regards to gender based discrimination and violence, IT IS NOT RESTRICTED TO THE FEMALE EXPERIENCE! When a woman rapes a man and he says no or doesn't fight back for whatever reason she is gaslighting him for even if he's physically stronger, SHE IS A RAPIST and is typically doing what any male rapist would do to a woman. DO NOT DEFEND A RAPIST OR AUGMENT THEIR STORY WITH THE SOCIAL MOVEMENT CALLED FEMINISM. It stands against ALL gender based violence, prejudice and discrimination, IT STANDS FOR EQUALITY!! If you're doing to men what rapists do to women, you are NOT A HERO, YOU ARE A CRIMINAL AND YOU NEED TO BE BEHIND BARS.
If Feminism doesn't exist in a society where women are raped, forced to work at home and are seen as nothing outside of their tits and supposed sexuality then Feminism also doesn't exist in a society where men are raped, forced to work at home and are humiliated based off on their sexual preferences and physical appearances. NO HUMAN BEING DESERVES TO BE SUBJUGATED AND TREATED LIKE A PIECE OF FLESH SO THAT THE ABUSER CAN FEEL SUPERIOR. I will die before I let people consider this piece of shit manhwa some sort of Feminist outrage story. Because it's not, and there's no "but that's what I think about it-" unless you're talking about something that is NOT Feminism. it's a rape story, pure and simple, something that the author tried to paint as some sort of contemporary, Feminist magnum opus and failed on all counts of her ambitious portrayal of feminism, LGBTQIA and bdsm. The catharsis that you, man, woman, non-binary whatever, may feel from watching a man being brutalised is incidental and frankly speaking, your own personal problem, don't put it behind the purview of feminism literature. Feminism doesn't deserve this.

Demon gay smut in trad comic art style, here you go. <3
This is Sid and Cain from Dear Door, a yaoi manhwa that I stumbled across a while ago that I found hot and pretty (and also genre-typically disturbing and deeply unwholesome, so be warned).
And I just had to ship these two. Sid's a staggeringly beautiful and extra kickass power bottom. And even if no-one else thinks so, I DOOOO. <3 I'm sure he's just in need of... um... some loving attention and understanding? As we all are?
And I mean... who wouldn't act up and be a treacherous bitch if their hot demon daddy was totally ignoring them and fucking a cop. Like, seriously, what the hell.
Also, I've been wondering, why are femme men always portrayed as evil??? Sucks. (F**k patriarchy.)
Made with ink, wash and a tiny touch of a red watercolor pencil.
(I didn't manage to censor the d**k in a way I was satisfied with, so I'll post the whole pic later or maybe in twitter instead? I'll provide a link when I cross that bridge.
And sorry for the picture quality again, I can't seem to get my head around my way too fancy camera. Especially white balance seems to be a total bitch. So goods instructions on how to photograph and post-edit artwork are warmly welcome!)

Mx. Swan, since you seem to have gotten quite versed on this, what are your recommendations on LGBT webcomics? I wish you a nice day and thanks I'm advance for the answer!
hi cactus!
okay i’m not as well-versed in it as you may think haha, i just get excited abt it and post when i find something that looks exciting or interesting! i’ll try my best to think of some here that i think may be worth mentioning, and do my best to remember triggers!!
1. My Princess Charming - I picked this one up recently and its SOOO CUTE. It’s still ongoing, but it’s about a popular girl who’s sick and tired of guys hitting on her all the time. She decides to find a fake boyfriend to fend them off, and sees someone who’s rlly hot and decides to ask them to be her fake boyfriend. Turns out that that person is actually a girl, and a lesbian at that. This manhwa is pretty light-hearted and hilarious (but not without drama ofc!)  I find the main character absolutely adorable. There is one scene with some minor transphobia, but it’s one line and I don’t think it was with malicious intent, but I wont make excuses for it, just a fair warning.
2. Unrequited Love Affair - This one’s actually by the same author as the first one! It’s also pretty cute. It’s about a girl who’s been in love with her straight best friend for over 10 years. She meets someone new and decides to try to finally move on from her unrequited love, but her best friend notices that she’s not paying as much attention to her and starts behaving strangely. I enjoyed this one, it was a cute and pretty quick read, but I’m a bit sour because I do think the main character and both love interests should’ve just made a polycule or somethin idk
3. Living Will - Okay, this one is for those who can handle tragedies in gay stories. Fair warning, it’s not a happy ending. It’s about two women -- a prostitute and an assassin -- how they meet, their lives entagle, and fall in love. It’s a quick read, there aren’t many chapters. TWs for violence, death, nudity, and blood.
4. Her Tale of Shim Cheong - I’ve recc’d this before but this is genuinely one of the best wlw manhwas i’ve ever read. The art and story is beautiful, and i think it goes hand in hand with RGU and the Handmaiden in terms of stories about girls overcoming and/or escaping the oppressive structure of patriarchy/gender roles through the relationships they have with each other...so. chef’s kiss<3 TWs for grooming, sexual assault and pedophilia. There were a few scenes that were uncomfortable for me to read because they felt fetishistic, but only a few (and there’s nothing explicit) for the most part I think the manhwa does a good job of being respectful (at least, compared to other yuri/GL works). There was someone who told me that either the artist or author (cant remember) reblogged some nsfw art of the characters but I never got a chance to confirm since I don’t use twitter. Just want to let you know that if you decide to read it before going in, since I didn’t. (I’m pretty sure you can find this online without having to pay for it, if you don’t want to support the artist/author)
5. Beware the Villianess! - I haven’t caught up with this one yet, but from what I read so far, I found it really funny and entertaining. It’s about a girl who dies and wakes up reincarnated as the villianess of a storybook, meaning she’s the antagonist who’s supposed to envy the protagonist and make things miserable for her (think typical jealous shoujo mean girl). But things in the story now start to change since she’s been reincarnated. I don’t even know if it really counts as a LGBT webtoon, but one of the love interests is the female protagonist and its fucking hilarious.
6. Tamen de Gushi - I think most people are familiar with this one, but I’m including it anyway. Super cute comic about two girls in a relationship. It’s really funny and light-hearted. It’s been a while since I’ve read it/caught up, but I don’t recall a particular plot? I think it’s just a slice of life, and that it doesn’t necessarily follow a chronological order. Correct me if I’m wrong tho.
Anyways, that’s all I have for now, there’s a bunch I’ve been meaning to check out but haven’t gotten the chance to yet. Maybe I’ll add to this list once I get to them. Sorry most of these are mainly WLW, I don’t really have any recs for MLM (mainly bc I haven’t been able to find any good ones) but if anyone else does, feel free to add on!

I will use this blog like a blog for once and like, rant a bit about this manhwa.
Okay, so, Why Did Men Stop Wearing High Heels is a heartwarming manhwa with a diverse cast, interesting plot, canon lgbt characters, with an developed message of “be yourself”, with an underlying message of kink positivism, with a wonderful and super pretty art style, and with characters who support each other even though they don’t really understand why the other acts/feels like they do.
The M.C, Manseok, is not gay, he’s just a dude who likes heels, and while the whole story screams fujobait, it’s actually pretty interesting and the characters feel really real. There is shipping fuel with this other dude, Chase, and in the beginning they are with each other for pure business (Chase blackmails Mansoek because he likes his feet, and Manseok has to be his new muse, so he will out him in work if he doesn’t. That’s how the plot begins, basically a slice-of-life with blackmailing and heels), but they develop a sort of friendship (which feels... SO real and beautiful). After many chapters it is obvious for me that Chase is somewhere in the ace spectrum, though I don’t think it will ever be confirmed.
There is, however, a canon lesbian character, and while the topic of the manhwa does ask for queerness discussion (a dude in stilettos is a big fuck you to patriarchy, after all) it pains me that I was actually surprised by her inclusion, and to how she ties to the main plot, and to the development of the main character.
(Spoiler: You’re going to hate Manseok’s ex-girlfriend, but you’re totally going to fall in love with Manseok, and his love for his sister).
I haven’t read all the chapters because it’s on lezhin and I don’t have money, lol, but honestly, it’s totally worth the shot
