Edit: we have found one person, but another person would make things quicker!
I am once again seeking furby fans who are fluent in Japanese to help us translate the pieces of Japanese furby lost media we have found before we archive them!!!
fun fact! did you know that there is a lost furby commercial thats only proof of existence is a shitpost from 2006??
in 2006 (maybe 2007) Jeff Chisamore uploaded a funky furby commercial with the song "du hast" playing instead of the original audio and some edits to make it look like furby is singing it. this silly little youtube video has gotten alot of attention in the furby and lost media community over the past few years now because nobody on the internet seems to have the original footage
Jeff Chisamore is aware of the search but no longer has the original footage. hes been incredibly nice to all the people messaging him but HE. DOES. NOT. HAVE. THE. ORIGINAL. FOOTAGE
most people think this commercial aired on nickelodeon due to their previous promotions with furby but nobody knows. however funky furbys were only released in certain countries and since we know its in english it is most likely in a 2006 nickelodeon recording from australia, canada or the UK!
i love weird ass lost media searches like this, nobody would know this commercial existed if it wasnt for a shitpost lmaooo
Hello everyone! Bit of an odd post, (but when are my posts normal) but around this time last year a video popped up on YouTube
This one here, where their was a prototype red snapper furby brought into the pawnstsrs shop, I watched this video. I remember being freaked out about how cool it was. The issue is???? It’s gone now??
I quite literally thought I had hallucinated the episode until I found screenshots in my camera roll. I remember the video in almost perfect detail, but cannot find anything online.
The account that originally posted it was banned from YouTube, and the video was scrubbed from my history. I even went as far as to purchase the supposed episode but the clip is just… not in the episode
I’ve googled and researched but cannot find the episode it’s supposedly from. So I leave the furby fandom with the only screenshot and proof from the episode, aswell as a screenshot of the link I sent to someone freaking out.
Isn't Wally Darling just the most! Everyone's favorite lost media project, Welcome Home, has now inspired a custom Furby! Made by me! Wally is such a lil guy and the bright colors were especially fun to work with. He's already been claimed, but I'll be making a blazer for him so he doesn't get cold without House to keep him warm!
There's like 5 With or Without Fur videos that are currently lost media (privated) and it just makes me sad cuz the Furby Pillow one spawned tons of awful inside jokes between me and Kamila and the 666 subs special was geniunely the funniest shit ever (literally what our sense of humor is now) and OHMYGOD THE KOBY SONG THAT ONE WAS SO ICONIC TOO I managed to recover a part of the song from another video but the full thing is lost and I'm not sure if anyone else besides me and Kamila even noticed cuz we're seemingly the only ppl who are still insane over this obscure youtuber

Something to ask the mun? What are a few of your hobbies and interests, friend? Has taking up Viktor as a muse helped influence your tastes? <3
[ What's one thing you've been dying to ask the mun? - ACCEPTING ]
Well, I am a simple creacher. I do art: digital is my main go-to, but I also do traditional media, specifically watercolor and pencil work. I have… WAY TOO MUCH PAINT, it’s a problem, I have impulse problems when I see palettes, WHOOPS. I should show some watercolor more here. I also do threadcraft, just cross-stitch for now, but I’m picking up sewing and embroidery, and I kiiiinda want to learn felting. Poking fluff repeatedly until it’s a cute animal sounds like a lot of fun.
I really like to listen to/watch documentaries a lot! Dinosaurs and death study/death positivity are my faves. Preservation of media and the recovery of lost media are like… a huge interest of mine, too. Especially video games and animation. :3 I also like those videos of abandoned places being explored? I dunno, I think I just am really fascinated by the things we leave behind as a concept.
COOKING AND BAKING. I love food, it’s really important to me. I had a very complicated relationship with food when I was younger, and part of me fixing it has been learning about food, food from different cultures, and trying out as many recipes as I can. I will try anything once! Also, I made some absurdly good cookies last night, actually, and I’m still riding the high of like picture perfect cookie creation at high altitude ✨💪
Some silly ones, I have an active pog collection (my favorites are the retro DC comics ones I have, still lookin for Zsasz tho), I still have my original furby from when I was a kid, I collect unusual earrings, and my brain goes brrrrr when I watch restoration videos.
As far as Viktor goes? Well, I’m trying to read more poetry than I used to because of them. :D I have it as a big interest of theirs, so I’m trying to buff up my own knowledge, and I think I veer to the abstract or darker tone poems because of them as a muse. Though I just am really liking reading poetry in general. And I’m also trying to learn some basic Hungarian! Is a very pretty language, but holy shit it’s definitely a tough one snfsgjsjgsk
fun fact! a furby tv show was being produced in the 2000s, it never aired and is now lost!
in 2005 hasbro released the emototronic furbys (aka 2005 furbys) as a improved sequel of the original 1998 furbys. part of the marketing for the 2005 furbys was the movie furby island. a short low budget poorly animated cgi movie that aired on nickelodeon about a young girl discovering an island of furbys and protecting them from the movies villain.
it was just your average shitty cheap 2000s movie with a generic ass plot however the movie did surprisingly well so a 13 episode nickelodeon series based off the movie began production. the show was made by frederator studios and used the original movie as a pilot
we don’t know how far into production this show got but due to a mix of declining furby sales and nickelodeon’s new president not approving of the shows pitch, the show got heavily pushed back and eventually canceled. the cancelation was officially announced by an employee on reddit
this show was destined to fail. even if it was released not many kids cared about the 2005 furby enough to watch it. however i think it’s a really interesting case of lost media and i hope someday more information about this series will be released to the public!!
(gifs used are from the furby island movie: available on youtube!!)
In an article, Furby was listed as one of the inflatables to show up in 6ABC’s Thanksgiving Parade in 1999, but I haven’t found footage of the event showing a Furby inflatable.
Four years ago, I did save a photo of a giant Furby inflatable since I couldn’t tell if it was official or a custom one. I still can’t confirm if it’s official and I’m not able to find the source anymore.
Also, shoutout to this awesome website and the people who archived it. Some really cool stuff on there was preserved and the website owner did an awesome job at documenting stuff.
when i was in middle school i used to obsessively draw FNAF furbys (this was when FNAF was a brand new thing). all of those images have been lost to time bc i threw them out in 8th grade. heres my big grown up redrawing of one of the pieces i vividly remember drawing on the last week of school when FNAF 2 was going to release soon which was furby foxy lunging toward the player
