Extremely late to the party, but I've finally done this! It's a challenge organised by Xylographica on Twitter 🤍 This worked as a super fun warmup before commissions for the past few weeks.

furry species challenge. did it so that any potential commissioners can quickly have an understanding of how much my artstyle does and doesn't stretch

A long time ago I saw this challenge on twitter and decided to use it as an exercise. I doodled all these animals from memory, trying my best to remember details while using 0 reference. I had no idea what a bearded dragon looks like, so I just made shit up.
For the next step, I'll do this challenge again but with references.
What do you think? Do the animals look acurate somehow?

a video about the furry species challenge and why we (artists) do art for free sometimes.
there are also a few speedpaints scattered around, but they start like 5 minutes in. i first wanted the vid to be more polished and do more skits or something, but i really am loosing steam haha.

Species challenge! 🦊✨
I asked my followers on Twitter and Bluesky for animal suggestions (especially less common ones in the furry fandom) and this was the result :3 it was very fun, should repeat it sometime!

ooh… how about an anthro comb jelly? or maybe a parasitoid wasp
A couple people suggested some marine inverts so here they are :^)
Not even sure these count as anthros at this point LOL but thats ok

It's been a while since I've posted my favorite species I've made the ruff necked gebu! They are small canines with long soft fur and a big blocky nose!
