i finished furuba s2 (o゚v゚)ノi feel like i’m experiencing memory loss though lol like i just finished it yesterday -- maybe it’s because i’m writing this without feeling those feelings right now <(_ _)> but anyway i really liked this season. we definitely got more of a ‘plot’ and sweet analogies and met a lot more great characters!!! i especially like isuzu she’s very sweet and i love her and haru’s relationship (they have the best outfits). & i’m so happy to see kyo and tohru’s relationship start to bloom -- i swear in ep 17 when there’s that moment tohru has about kyo i screamed!! and the trip they went on together and the mini zodiacs and ughhhh i love them sm o(TヘTo) but i think what was really precious in this season was the unfolding and realisation of feelings that they have toward one another particularly yuki’s feelings towards tohru. i feel that even since the beginning there wasn’t really romance between them and it’s was more of tohru giving him strength and being a pillar to lean on when things got tough -- someone to hold him and listen to his burdens (;′⌒`) & i think tohru’s feelings about her mom’s passing comes up soon as well. i don’t want her to feel like a burden or guilty or that she doesn’t matter. i hope kyo is there to help her with those thoughts. i’m glad that they are all moving toward a future that they want, a future where everything changes.

夏の歌 / A Song of Summer
古今和歌集 / Collection of Old Japanese Poems vol.3 no.135
わが宿の池の藤波咲きにけり
By the pond beside my home the wisteria in full bloom
山ほととぎすいつか来鳴かむ
I wonder when the nightingale will come and sing here
the wisteria = longing and love. the poetic narrator is a noble man.
the nightingale(the lesser cuckoo) = the symbol of summer, and the mate of the wisteria.

[10:29 PM]
You don’t know how it started or why. You just know that whenever you’re sad, angry, or sleepless, your body instinctively seeks the rooftop to clear your thoughts.
Something about the dark, dark sky stretching expansively over your head is comforting in a way that is unmatched. The crisp nighttime air cools you, providing a clarity that the heat from your phone could never.
Today is no different. You hug your knees to your chest and look up at the distant stars. This sort of loneliness feels good to be immersed in at intervals, but you smile when you hear the door beneath you softly click open and closed again.
You don’t know how it started or why. You just know that when you’re on the rooftop, so is he.
“What’s wrong?” Kuroo Tetsurou says, climbing the ladder to reach you. He’s in what looks like pajamas to you — a long sleeved shirt, track pants, feet pale against the tiles of the roof. He settles next to you quietly, like a cat. “You’re hardly up here.”
“You should’ve worn socks. It’s cold,” you return. You look down and discern that the distance between your left foot and his right foot is probably around .01 cm.
“Says the one with bare feet.”
“All my socks are in the wash.”
“Mine too, I only have one pair left.”
“So why didn’t you wear that?” you laugh.
He’s patient, waiting. Tetsurou does that; he makes you feel like you’re the center of the universe when he turns his attention on you. You search his eyes for what feels like a while, but the silence isn’t awkward. Like the clouds, it’s light and moves with the occasional breeze.
Finally, you look forward again. “I was just thinking.”
“About…”
“When you like someone,” you blurt out. “You want to see them all the time, right?”
Tetsurou is quiet for a second. His hair hides his expression, but you can imagine it — casually neutral. “What, you have a crush on someone?”
“I— no! No, I was just saying— it’s not about me— I wasn’t talking about me—” you’re not quite sure what you’re saying or even what you mean to say. You’re thinking what did he say and why did he say that and what does he know and how does he know it and when did I ever give myself away?
“Don’t worry,” he says, grinning. “When you do find someone…”
Tetsurou sets something next to you as he stands up. You squint at him. “…I’ll be here to help you out.”
“Thanks,” you say to his back. He throws a hand up in return and you wonder why your chest is tightening as he recedes. Only when you hear the door click close do you remember to check what he’s left behind.
He’s left you a pair of clean socks.
