FUSELL, THE IMMORTAL

Spoilers and ranting with a bit of love sprinkled in there beneath the cut beneath the cut

I was bothered so bad about him being human i did something about it. Does it make sense? Maybe. Do i care? No.... yeah. Kinda.

I kept his robes the same and tried to keep the rest of the outfit in line with the usual sbr design scheme, the whole human with grey skin thing kinda irked me and the character designers were cowards by making the intergalactic scientist default to being a HUMAN. LIKE. SERIOUSLY....

WE ARE DEALING WITH A MAN WHO IS REAPING WHAT HE SEWED BY FUCKING WITH SCIENCE. FROM SPACE BTW. AND YOU MAKE HIM HUMAN WHAT IS WRONG WITH Y- cough. Im normal i prommy :)

So i made him resemble the very creatures he is bound to, the very creatures he decided to mass produce and cultivate for his gain and his own society's. Its like dramatic irony ykno? When within the helmet his smokey form blurs his shape from inside, only once the glass breaks he then has his form exposed. Again. Dramatic reveal style. I love dramatics btw. The markings do probably turn grey post boss fight like in the actual game, the ellonite on him drained of all its power...

By my previous fussel post i hadnt read the mysterious notes, which i have since concluded all belong to fusell. The story of a man who took science too far and paid the price fascinates me. The way he seems to be refering to himself when he notes the greed of his kind in a sort of self lothing type way... i didnt expect a character from super bomberman R 2 to comment on the struggles of overconsumption and the furthering of technology being a blessing and detriment to those who pursue it. The neutrality of science... the greed of advanced society, the affects of war (although only briefly touched on shows how science can be driven to cruel places) all laid out and expecting you to connect the pieces. Which i kinda adore. I could study him for hours under a microscope.

That being said if you misinterpret fusell i will skin you and mount you on my wall. For funsies. (Joking but passionate) he is a morally grey villian (though leaning toward a darker shade during the time of the story) whom really really wants to die likely bearing the guilt of a fallen society by mainly his hands

Anyway he phantom and blue would have a neat dynamic don't you think?

Hi, I’m still new to this whole askblog thing, but I’m curious, what are your ideas/thoughts on Emperor Buggler? Seeing that he’s kind just… there at the beginning and end of Super Bomberman R, I’m curious about your take on him!

jokes aside, Buggler's a really hard character to work with. he's a villain with little motivation IF he has motivation at all. So, in true remy fashion, im just going to make shit up as I write and its gonna be really good. (longpost under the cut)

I was not around for the original super bomberman series so,, maybe it has something to do with intergalactic politics? I don't get why he'd turn the sun into a black hole if he wants to dominate everything, like most of the planets in R had their inhabitants hijacked or otherwise forced under his control

So I think he's like Donald Trump from space or something. Not *too* similar to fusell, who just wanted to die real bad and needed the universe to be the snail....Buggler just wanted control of everything.

And I'd like to think of him as someone who used to work on mechanics. It would explain why getting the 5d bombers under his control was so easy in the intro (tbf they had been scrapped prior so). It might also explain where he got his army from (possibly brainwashing the citizens of conquered planets?). I thought it would be a good idea to have that evil cunt be the direct antithesis of everything White stands for, but it's really hard. He's just kind of baseless.

So in conclusion- I view him as a weird sorta space trump that gets his power through manipulation and directly tampering with mechanical species, also buggler fucking sucks to write for and he's dead right now so I literally just never put him in my works because in r hes just SO flat

Favorite thing about them:

As an eldest sibling myself, I kinda relate to him. Also him caring about his siblings.

Least favorite thing about them:

I wish some of his voice lines had more emotion behind them.

Also his siblings need to start listening to him more, and we need more moments of him acting like a sibling instead of a parent*.

(*Nothing wrong with that, but there isn't enough of acting like a sibling, at least to me.)

Favorite line:

While I don't remember it word-for-word, I really enjoy the dialog of him saying how proud he is of Blue.

I'm also amused by his and Black's argument at the end of R2.

Also this line that I really like the delivery of for some reason: "But... Fusell... Isn't time the one thing you do have?"

White and his siblings, especially Red, Plasma (I see them more as friendly rivals)

OTP:

While not my otp, I don't really see White with anyone else other than Vic Viper Bomber

nOTP:

White/Buggler (just... no), White/Fusell, and White/any of his siblings (that's just plain gross)

Random headcanon:

He wears Christmas sweaters unironically.

Unpopular opinion:

I do like R's iteration of White more than most other past iterations (I don't dislike them, I'm just much more familiar with R than the other games), though this is mostly due to R being the first Bomberman game I took interest in/got reintroduced to the Bomberman series with.

I'm actually hesitating between Fusell and Buggler... eh fuggit I'll let you choose ;A;

I honestly cant do buggler i have nothing nice to say about the R interpretation, which if you are who i am assuming would probably suck to hear... But i DO really like Fussell

Favorite thing: the fact that he balances out the sbr2 cast making it more camp than grating when hes onscreen, close second is definitely how he was characterized least favorite thing: the fact they made him distinctly ex human or at least incredibly human like in design, shoulda been more fuckt up tbh. would really sell the agony... either that or at LEAST keep him obscured ontill the helmet broke for symbolism favorite quote: man i just like the way he talks, unfortunately i do not have his dialogue on hand like basically every other character im mentally ill about. if incorrect non canon quotes are allowed here i think "i want to die so bad white boy" from one of my previous sketch pages brotp: white bomber and fussell. no further comment otp: i have no idea man. title up for grabs notp: im sorry but respectfully i think he and buggler would not be able to stand eachother, i think buggler would make him want to die more actually. this is the only real pairing ive seen so like i guess i could be swayed but this pairing isnt for me ykno random headcanon: i think that his research notes are actually published, being quite famous in the times before the incident, the only problem being is that due to the destruction of his previous home and wiping of the society he belonged to the research and notes have fallen into obscurity. this being said i think phantom bomber, if he met fussel and was informed that hes THE guy he would lose his mind

unpopular opinion: he was better than yet another evil team- i said it- the cast already being as big as it is with the dastardlies and the siblings they wouldve made 5 or 6 half baked characters under the time crunch they had that i think it genuinely wouldve made sbr2 worse. favorite image:
