I recently watched a couple of less known Sports anime and boy I'm in love with them. I'm currently obsessing over Tsurune, Bakuten and Futsal Boys!! so I might end up writing stuff for those prompts from some of my own ideas 😭

10 years ago futsal startin gaining international attention. However, Haru wasn’t interested till he say Tokinari play in the World Cup. Now at his new high school, Haru joins the futsal club. Quite a few of the players are talented, but the team isn’t quite able to stand up to stronger, more powerful, schools just yet.

Just realized in Futsal Boys...there’s no...coach!??? Like it’s just a bunch of kids playing for fun but not really because it’s an actual tournament and there are no professional coaches/adults around to guide them??? Did I miss something!? Not even a club counselor in sight as far as I remember....

Anime Spotlight - Futsal Boys!

Oh this is one of the most boring, generic and bland sports anime I've watched.

The plot is

Haru Yamato was never interested in futsal ever since the sport gained international fame 10 years ago. However, a chance to watch Japanese futsal player Tokinari Tennoji compete at the U-18 World Cup completely changed his perspective. When given the opportunity on his first day at Koyo Gakuen High School, Haru enthusiastically joins the futsal club.

There, he meets a variety of talented players including captain Toi Tsukioka, who was a part of the same U-18 team as Tennoji. Despite having a dynamic roster, the Koyo Futsal Club has a long way ahead when it comes to assembling a team that can stand up to powerhouse opponents—especially for Haru, who is a total beginner to the sport!

There are so many good sports anime that this just pales in comaprison, even the pretty boys could get me into it and I couldn't even be bothered to ship it despite the fujoshi baiting.

Well...Futsal Boys was something alright... #anime #otakuthursday

Hello and welcome back to Otaku Thursday! I cannot tell you how happy I am that we are back here with otaku content. For you, it has likely been but a few days, but for me, it feels like it’s been forever. Real work sucks, no? Anyway, to ease the stress we turn to anime for entertainment. And today…before I start reviewing anime from this season–I want to talk about something from last season…

Anyway, futsal boys is So Funny if you want to watch the most Generic Sports Anime ever. Hits exactly every trope you can imagine

Apparently it’s both an anime and a mobage but the mobage is a rhythm game and not even a sports game 😂😂

Also like, it’s supposed to be jouseimuke but the anime has them doing their Super Power Moves that you’d only expect to be cool if you were a five year old (or watching Inazuma Eleven), so it’s just so funny how hilariously out of place that is

Anyway, I can definitely see how and why it bombed so hard, doesn’t even have a single seiyuu I know in it. I get trying to give some newbies some spotlight but if it’s Only a bunch of newbies, kinda hard to want to pick it up
