Kinda a wasted opportunity that they killed Cliffjumper in the Bumblebee movie.

For those who don’t know, back in G1 Cliffjumper was portrayed as a totally impatient hothead with severe trust issues. He didn’t trust Mirage at all and was always the first to accuse him of being a traitor. In the next film I’d like it if they did a small scene where some new arrivals inform Prime’s team of Cliff’s death and Mirage informs Noah and the rest of their human allies about their history.

Even if it was just to say something like, “He made no secret he didn’t like or trust me, a total aft pipe. But as hard a time as he gave me, I’d still never wish death on em, least of all one like that…”

Cause I feel that’s how he would react.💙

Mirage is another protective parent because Swerve is so little and round and sweet and talkative. He's lively in a way Mirage was not allowed to be growing up and he adores that. He is also not at all how he expected his child to look like. Swerve, though, can be shy and sensitive to others' displeasure.

Mirage is happy to let Swerve chat along and be happy, but one Autobots (probably Gears or Tracks) complains about the little chatterbox making Mirage look at them in disapproval before turning back to Swerve to find he's clamped down completely. He is immediately livid, but before he can say anything, Cliffjumper is already jumping down their throats.

He immediately jumps up in Mirage's books even if he still does seem wary of Mirage. He's perfectly sweet to Swerve who he pegs as a fellow Minibot and tells him firmly to "be as loud as you want little guy" before tickling his stomach and making Swerve giggle.

Mirage does not swoon but it is very close.

Cliffjumper continues to play Red Knight and accidentally charms Mirage and Swerve, becoming one of the people he trusts to babysit when Mirage is needed on a mission. Something that is a big deal and had included Jazz, Hound, and Ratchet only.

Awww yes! Mirage cares for him soooo so much!

I love how raising the mtmte kids also makes the g1 mecha reflect on their own childhoods
