You accidentally delete all of Jake's gamesaves and you're quite worried to tell him. Not because you fear him flipping out and being angry. Jake doesn't get mad about things like that. But you know he's going to be sad, a little bit cutely heartbroken, which is why you think hard of the way to soften that blow, because you don't like seeing Jake bummed.

I should've gotten to this sooner but I just kept thinking about how sad he would be and it hit me right in the period hormones. He'd be such a sad puppy and my heart couldn't take it! 😭

If he wasn't home the very first thing I would do is message or call him, explain what happened, and apologize profusely. If he is home when it happens I'll skip to the apologizing. Probably crying a little myself because I genuinely feel so bad!

And he'd be such a sweetheart, trying to play down how sad/upset he is over it. Trying to not make me feel worse. There'd be so much hugging, cuddling, and apologizing. I would be too scared to ever touch any of his electronics ever again, too.

Over the course of at least a week I'm apologizing in so many ways. Making his favorite foods, getting him new games, giving him time to replay the old ones, pretty much whatever he wants to do in bed, and probably a bunch of other things.

Subhood version of TheNeonPlumb’s Clean Belladonna Cove with Townies

Hi Guys,

I have Risen from the Dead to release a quick Hood. Using Jawusa’s Tutorial on How to Remove Stealth Hoods I have converted the great work of @theneonplumb to add the BDC Townies to @meetmetotheriver ’s Belladonna Cove. You can find theneonplumb’s BDC HERE:  I now have an Uberhood with all the townies, which is pretty sweet. As with all Subhood versions of BDC, the playables who be livin’ in the apartments currently be vibin’ in the sim bin in lieu. Get guidance from the Wiki or consult your Psychic Phone Friend if you wanna know where they gotta go. Everyone will have forgotten the Townies’ Names too - use LingeringWillX’s tool to sort it.

If anything goes wrong with the hood let me know - I may respond. Ofc you should backup, like actually backup. Don’t trust a british 24 year old with your gamesave. Copy your gamesave and put it in a ZIP file. I'm warning you. Do this on a regular basis, eat vegetables and floss. You’ll thank me for it.

I am not proud to admit that this took over an hour of trying because my toxic gamer masculinity thought stubbornly trying over and over is a better alternative than admitting defeat and levelling up.

The Fly crit 100% won this battle. Shadow Ball does not one-hit Aegislash. Other things that mattered: Thundershock not killing Skrelp, Bind missing Tynamo, and Klefki not getting an ATK boost from Meteor Mash. Essentially the entire battle is just me setting up for Aegislash bc it oneshots all of my team members and outspeeds most of them. And Tynamo had to be at full health to not eat a prio Shadow Sneak.

Also just fyi levelling a Tynamo all the way from level 7 is one of the most painful things I've ever done. And I say this as someone who used unevolved Duskulls and Swablus to play through those games as a kid. That being said, that Thunder Wave was a gamesaver in this battle.

Capturing the ambience of Conker's Bad Fur Day

This self-satirizing adventure game pushes the N64 to offer impressive audio/visual atmosphere.

Capturing footage

While it appears widescreen display was planned at one point, BFD didn't ship with it. We can force widescreen rendering ratios by using memory cheats.

We should be able to hide Conker by using an Invisible Character cheat (800CE23A 0041), but I couldn't get this working on any of the emulators I tried. Instead, use the Conker Size Modifier cheat to shrink the player to a very small size.

I couldn't find any NTSC camera cheats, but we can use BFD's over-the-shoulder camera to get character-free footage. Free-camera hacks have been developed, but I couldn't find any that are publicly-available. Another strategy is to aim down the sights of certain ranged weapons and employ emulator-level texture mods to hide the scope UI.

Retroben's cheat for 60FPS and pacing miserably slowed down RetroArch for me. I saw this outcome with different (albeit similar) cores, so it may have something to do RetroArch e.g. trying to output at the wrong framerate.

Meanwhile the cheat usually worked as intended on Project64, but other times slowed down just like RetroArch. I also suspect the difference has something to do with applying the cheat immediately at startup versus during normal gameplay.

If you're playing on PAL, I found a pretty extensive screenshot guide focused on staging BFD's characters.

BizHawk

This emulator, designed for speedrunners and other serious users, offers simple per-game scripting capabilities. In BFD's case we can open the ScriptHawk project and use its controls to maneuver Conker with configurable precision.

Navigating the game

We can move about BFD's levels quickly using moon jump and invincibility cheats. BFD is also supported by ScriptHawk.

Enter the WELDERSBENCH code into the in-game cheat entry to gain access to level select. Alternatively to that, you can use a 100% completion gamesave or emulator cheats.

Debug builds

An in-development debug build of the game has surfaced. It offers several read-only displays to explore the current in-game state. We can use this to obtain details of the currently playing sound and music.

Capturing sounds

For more consistent results, I recommend using your emulator's recording features to capture rather than recording at the Windows level. Alternatively Video-Game OST HQ offers crisp downloads rendered by the author's own N64 tools.

Where do i find it and how do i enter it in? I uploaded an image of what my screen looks like. What am I doing wrong? I read that you mentioned something about a kv.bin, I don't see that anywhere. I got o my USB, the go to the folder named content, then inside that folder I go to a folder named E0000199FA21A1A5 then inside that folder I go to a folder named 434307D4, inside that folder I go to a folder named 00000001, inside that folder is the folder saveddata.bin which I assume is my gamesave. I check the Local sign box, then press the Resign Save button and it says Failed to load specified keyvault, signing failed. I delete the Profile and Device IDs and paste my Profile and Device IDs into the areas. I close out The Xbox 360 Save Editor, open it again, but upload the downloaded RE5 game save.
