A nostalgic game about childhood.

With summer approaching I felt the need to draw my two favorite blorbos once again. Can't believe it's the third summer I spend since I first into this game and truly I am so happy I played it. Not only did I discovered my favorite visual novel of all time but posting on this fandom has been a delight. Idk for you but here summer started to arrive so I'm wishing everyone some good vacation, may you have fun !

Listen. Listen. All of Step 4 versions could canonically take place during the same summer, right next to each other. Derek's Step 4 takes place first. Father's day in America is on the third Sunday in June, so in 2021 that would be June 20th.

Moms wedding anniversary is referenced multiple times in Derek's Step 4, as an event happening a few weeks later.

Then Cove's Step 4 takes place during the anniversary, a few days before and after the event. Taking the estimated time period, their party would be happening in June, i'd say around the middle of the month, maybe closer to the beginning.

Derek makes an appearance here too!

(i actually had to speed replay cove's step 4 cause i had no, and i mean no screeshots from it lmao. that was before i learned that you can make screeshots through steam and don't have to do it MANUALLY sigh)

Then we have the last Step 4 version, the events of Baxter DLC.

I'm assuming the Adams' wedding takes place sometime in August, probably also in the middle, but leaning towards the end of the month.

So hypothetically speaking, MC could canonically participate in all of these events.

All THAT to say: imagine meeting Xavier in Baxter's Step 4 after first meeting them in Derek's Step 4, and them being like "Oh, hi MC! Good to see you again :D" with Baxter looking so confused sdhfjkshfsjk

That's right, it was a Xavier post all along! You got tricked! Xavier DLC when 👀

Just kidding, but i'm living for this version of events. And just in general, it's nice to imagine everything happening, even if it's not possible in the game itself. I headcanon it all happening, it's so fun to think about <3

GB-patch drama ???

I've been reading up on it all the last 2 or so days and It's easy to say I'm disappointed with GB-Patch's response to it all. I don't understand Rose's viewpoint or their opinions over Our Life N&F and I don't claim to be 100% certain about anything going on in the Our Life community.

I'm just here as a fan of Our Life and someone who (occasionally) makes Our Life related content to say I'm not sure If I'm going to continue writing for Our Life. I do want to keep writing, I'm just going to have to find a different fandom or such. I've seen other creators leaving the fandom and I am honestly not sure if I'm allowed to continue playing the game and writing for and of the Our Life games without supporting anything that's going on right now.

I will say that I am NOT a person of colour, nor do I believe that I'm in any position to say my own opinions on everything that's going on. I know that sometimes fandoms get toxic and that's just considered 'normal' in a sense, but still. It's hard to say I know my exact stance on this matter and I'd love for some light on everything that's going on right now and will appreciate any opinions on leaving the game behind.

Edit: I'm not planning to delete my already written posts of Our Life content unless explicitly told so. Once (or If) I get some more light on this situation will I post something else to update this post. My blog is a safe space for trans individuals and all people, while I haven't explicitily written anything about a reader's race, sexuality or specific gender, I would consider my blog that is relatively friendly and accepting for any reader of any point. (I don't accept racists, terfs, transphobes, homophobes, bigots, ableism or any type of discrimination against someone/group of people who are just trying to live and aren't bothering or sending harm to anyone.)
