how many 'sonas would you say you have?

lemme do a round up real quick. i'll go chronologically, and if there's any additional information that can be gained about the individual sonas, their name will have a hyperlink to a post where i talk about them!

i only had 2 sonas before transitioning, and that was my main sona (pizza ghost) and my fursona (Ned the dog):

between Chase and Scout, when i was still figuring out my identity, i came up with a they/them fan troll (Kippyr Wulton).

after i came out, but before i was ready to design a new "sona", i wanted to take my time and enjoy designing women characters in general. it was, silly enough, pretty new to me, so i wanted to practice.

naturally, this came in the form of the video game character creation, where i came up with the first two ladies that "represented me," those being Dana Killsmith from Fallout, and Joanne Email the white mage from FFXIV (unfortunately im hard locked out of my FFXIV account so i cannot get a better screenshot than this one where im clipping into a guy to make his hair my moustache).

after a while, i was finally ready to come up with the most load-bearing sonas a person can have, that being a main sona (OL angel) and a fursona (Merit the cat):

more recently, ive designed a few sonas that are specific to existing fictional universes, namely Pokemon (Ghost Type gym leader Scout), and then the other day again with MLP:FiM (Moss Wander, earth pony antiquarian).

and that's it at the moment!

Dark link and phantom Ganon but they are weird Pokémon trainers. Haunter and runerigus for dark link. Rookidee, lampent, and zorua (only the tiniest guys) for phantom Ganon. Don’t question my Pokémon vibe check, it simply fits. Also shiny Pokémon for shiny ganlink

Ghosties/ Witch-Reader au got nominated for a ‘comfort’ based doodling last night and it turned out,, longer than expected sjdgdjdhd

the intense narrative foiling between the death of q!tubbo and the death of q!badboyhalo.

q!tubbo’s death felt like it happened so suddenly. many of those around him didn’t even believe it was real. one second he was playing around and then for a brief instant he begged for his life and then he was gone.

q!bbh’s death felt very slow. that he himself was stretching it out for as long as possible. there was time for him to prepare and for others to realize. to have the terrible feeling of grieving someone while they’re still alive.

and that’s not to say that q!tubbo’s death was random and out of nowhere because it wasn’t. similar to q!bbh, you could see his slow path to self destruction for months. but once again, those two were foils to one another.

q!tubbo was not one to hide it. the way he would say that he wouldn’t shower or change his clothes for brief periods of time. that he would willingly let himself get hurt without a care in the world. the thought that no one would take him seriously about things and he had said that thought out loud before. he spent his last moments gambling his own life away.

q!bbh would always try to hide it. although the evidence was clearly on his face and back, he would deny deny deny until those last final days. and even then it was only to those he trusted. he let himself get hurt by the soul vultures in his own home away from everyone else. he spent his last moments alone, panicking over old memories that still hurt him.

in the end, their commonality lays in that the kids were always the first ones to realize something was wrong. that they could see that the decline was slow but meaningful to them. the two soulhunters, bound together by fighting so fiercely to protect those who were not even their own, although it led to their deaths. the realm of the living waits for their returns and misses them in the shape of eggs

it's absurd how little qfoolish and qbads storylines overlapped and interacted with one another, like bad was fighting to involve foolish at every given opportunity and yet they ended up practically opposite sides of the narrative. And it's crazy because every in character interaction they had was gold! Their roleplay styles work together so well, their out of rp friendship and meta knowledge of eachother fed into their characters creating such fascinating dynamics between the two.

Imagine if we had gotten both federation foolish and special guest bbh. Picture it, what if foolish had discovered the truth of bads identity before bad even knew. What if before having his memeory wiped, as special guest bad had kept specific instructions to recruit his old friend foolish to the federation. This being why cucurucho had called foolish "unique". How would they have navigated it? Would foolish completely lose interest in the federation knowing badboyhalo that muffin fuck holds a powerful position in its ranks, probably with power over him. A full 180° in qfoolishs narrative would be hilarious, though maybe instead with the prospect of competition (and that competition being bradboy bitchass halo) foolish would crank his tryharding up to ten to climb the ranks in the federation and outrank bad. All with classic landduo shenanigans, it couldve been perfect

Richas's bright, positive presence was really nice to have around today. On their own, Dapper and Pomme are very strong and they support each other, but they both tend towards sadness and seriousness. They have a strong sense of duty and a desperate desire to get their father back- of course they do. But then Richas shows up and they really do get to be kids again. It was pretty obvious how Richas was being his little annoying goofy self to try and cheer them up, and it worked! They were able to laugh, play, have a good dinner together, and I honestly think Dapper and Pomme really needed that.

Today's stream was tense, frightening, sad- but it was also full of a lot of bittersweet joy, the joy that comes after loss, the tenderness of love and laughter and slowly healing hearts. I'm glad it happened.
