In the Twst x Pokemon AU, what's your story? What's your team when you arrive in Twst? What region did you come from? Were you a champion, coordinator etc?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm going to assume that you mean me personally, not connected to the MC's in my posts.

Buckle your seatbelts, because this is kinda long. I kinda splurged while writing this.

Story

My home region would be Unova because it's my favorite region and it's based off America, which is my home country.

I like to think my journey would start after the plot of the Pokémon BW games, around the same timeline as Pokémon B2W2.

Because of the whole incident with Team Plasma, my parents wouldn't let me leave for my journey, so I'd start my journey later than others.

My mom's a teacher, so let's say that we moved to Asperita City (The hometown of the B2W2 MCs) to teach at the new trainer school.

According to this, my partner would be Riolu, so let's say I caught one in Floccesy Ranch.

I'd probably do gym battles for a while before realizing that I didn't care for them that much, so I'd probably either quit halfway or finish just to say I did the gym challenge.

Let's say I completed the gym challenge and won against the Elite Four, but didn't win against the champion.

My sister's a cosmetologist and she's always wanted to go to Paris, so I like to think that she'd be learning hair in Kalos in this au, and I decide to go visit her (after the gym challenge), where I get introduced to Pokemon Showcases.

I try a few, I get hooked, and decide to travel to Kalos and become a Pokémon performer.

After traveling around Kalos, I'd go to Hoenn to try the contests there and after Hoenn, I'd go to Sinnoh (Cue me simping over Cynthia).

I'd travel to the other regions too, but mostly for sightseeing or catching new Pokémon (I can promise you I would travel to Galar just to get an Alcremie).

Eventually, around the time I'd turn 18, I'd return home and try to bring contests to Unova.

I like to imagine my life after returning to Unova, trying to incorporate contests in the region, would be similar to White's work in the BW manga, where she runs an agency that provides Pokémonfor films, commercials, and other stuff.

Fun Fact: In the BW manga, White (the female mc) is responsible for the Pokémon Musical in Nimbasa City, and the musical was one of my favorite things from the game.

While in the midst of bringing contests to Unova, it's around this time that I'd be transported to Twisted Wonderland.

After my initial fear of being transported to another dimension, I would be so pissed because I got dragged to another dimension with a bunch of angsty teens while in the middle of my passion project.

Despite my dislike of the dorm, I'm positive that the Pomefiore boys would be interested in helping me with the contest project. Well, Vil and Rook would. Epel would be more interested in the battles.

Optimus Primal has a Rillaboom (maybe it can Gigantamax?)

Rhinox has a Rhydon (perhaps one day it will evolve into Rhyperior)

Rattrap has a Raticate (it stayed as a Rattata for the longest time because it was too lazy to evolve)

Cheetor har a Luxray (not a cheetah but they have the same vibe)

Dinobot has a Ramparados (was gonna go with Archeops but Ramparados seemed more warrior-like)

Tigatron has an Incineroar (Dual type fire, three stage evolution Pokémon to match with Airazor’s Pokémon)

Airazor has a Talonflame (again, to match Tigartron’s Pokémon)

Silverbolt has a Braviary (Braviary is based of an eagle and Silverbolt’s alt mode is an eagle so it felt pretty obvious)

Depth Charge has a Mantine (again, obvious choice since Depth Charge turns into a manta ray)

Explanation: Magnezone seems to me like the most robotic pokémon of them all. That, seeing how it moves by levitating in the air, and how in pokémon Generations we see a Magnemite carefully frying/disabling an electrical lock, Magnezone is a pretty appropriate choice to be P03’s main pokémon. Besides, it seems to be a very viable option competitively, which I think would definitely be Important to P03.

I had some difficulty knowing which pokémon to include, as some appeared a little too beastly to include in this particular list, so the general theme here is how useful they would be in battles, or in P03’s factory itself. Some also represent certain cards (Electrode, the bombs; Bastiodon the shields, etc.), and if they have mechanical/electric parts or symbols, they were most likely included. 

The legendary I picked for P03 is Regieleki, although it was a tight competition with Registeel. However, the fact that it seems to be based on a lightbulb gave it a certain extra element that fit his theme better, so I settled on Regieleki. As for the pokémon chosen to represent the other Scrybes, we have Corviknight for Leshy, Rotom for Grimora, and Metagross for Magnificus. Corviknight is a pretty good pokémon, and while it’s clearly a steel type, it can be linked to Leshy’s raven card, and it does still look pretty natural. Rotom is a ghost and electric type, and since it’s become more and more linked to advanced gadgets in the pokemon world, it couldn’t be missing from P03’s group; its first appearance was also inside a haunted mansion where you can clearly see the spirits of dead people, so that was an easy one! As for Metagross, it’s also a good pokémon competitively and a psychic type, which I think reflects on P03’s use of Mox in his own campaign and because of this it’s a good representative for Magnificus.

Then for the Inspector, we have Luxray. Most of Luxray’s pokédex entrees point out it’s exceptional vision, which would be useful for inspecting, and it has been shown to be a very loyal pokémon. Coalossal perhaps sticks out in the list, but there’s a good reason I included it, and that reason is the Melter. Coalossal already strikes me as a very industrial pokémon, and since its gigantamax is a giant oven more than capable of melting steel, which I think already proves its usefulness for the factory. Finally, Copperajah would be the Dredger’s main help, with it’s huge size and strong gripping trunk, which reminds me of the machine that the Dredger uses!

And that is it! This was a really fun mini series of posts, and I had a blast analyzing which pokémon would fit each scribe and their underlings the best! Spent my afternoon photoshopping my age old Pokemon OC, Mikuru (also “Miki”). Before she settled down to breed Eevees full time she was an ace trainer. Shown here with her original touring bbs, Yan Yan (Umbreon), Glacey (Glaceon), Rainer (Vaporeon), Blaze (Flareon), Leafy (Leafeon), Nuku Nuku (Nucleon), Espy (Espeon), Sylvie (Sylveon), Sparky (Jolteon), Poof (Gigantamax Eevee), and Silvry (shiny Eevee), and the two honorary Eevees, Luxe (Luxray) and Solo (Absol). Nicknames aren’t anything special - tbh most of them are what I call the pokemon in general lmao. #4 : Gen 3 , mainly because of the Mystery Dungeon and the weirdest game, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. My gen 3 starter (for Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald) will always be Mudkip 💖 plus this gen just has so many cute monsters, Plusle + Minun , Gardevoir , Absol, Chimecho, and Jirachi are some of my fav!

#3 : Gen 1 , I can’t not have this on the list! The one who started it all,, and I like the original anime so I’m biased.

#2 : Gen 8 , I personally love the Dyna/Gigantamax power and how silly it is. Scorbunny is my darling son and I adore him with all my heart. But Sobble is great to, this was the first time in a long while that I had a hard time choosing my starter. Sword/Shield has some of my most favorite human characters out of the whole franchise. Yarrow/Milo, Rose and Peony. The special Galarian forms are so nice too especially the big 3 legendary birds (Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres) look super cool!!

#1 Gen 4, my childhood revolved around Heartgold! There was also Pokémon Ranch which was really cute! Oh and PokéPark- to me this Gen had some of the best/nostalgic games ever. Piplup, Shaymin and Buneary my babies 💖 I have soooo many figures, cards, and plushies from this gen.

And just for fun: my teams for each gen mentioned! (might not be the strongest but I love them all sm💖)

Gen 1: Wartortle (I kept mine at this stage), Raichu, Dragonair, Arcanine, Eevee, and Mew!

Gen 3: Mudkip (I refuse to evolve him, he is baby and always will be), Gardevoir, Plusle, Minun, Absol, and Jirachi!

Inspired by @huffletrax’s post I just reblogged I figured if they wouldn’t mind, I’ll do a team for everyone’s favorite Septic and my interpretation of him as he’d be in Pokémon.

Pokemon AU

Antisepticeye

Luxray, Toxtricity (Amped Form, can Gigantamax), Vikavolt, Nidoking, Gengar (Has Gengarite), Naganadel

-He travels just to do what he wants, chief among them being fight with his Pokémon. He’s a very brutal fighter but he never goes too far if his Pokémon look tired or the opponent is knocked out already. And don’t try to make him fight a Baby Pokémon or one that’s young just. Do not for the sake of your own health.

-His ‘starter’ was Luxray, he found him while hiding outside of Rowan’s lab to wait for an opportunity to grab one of the ‘official’ ones, and as he was waiting. He felt a little nuzzling at his leg mixed with a spark that fizzled against his static and looked down, there was a Shinx just... there. Like any cat, he chose Anti and Anti didn’t have the heart to say no.

-He does not have the ability to use lightning in this AU, but he has the ability to conduct it without risk to himself, his static is more of a kind of... hypnotic ability so he doesn’t need to worry about anyone ratting him out to Jenny if they see him. It makes it so anyone in range of his static just, forgets his face and his voice.

-His team met in order is Luxray, Gengar, Nidoking, Vikavolt, Naganadel and Toxtricity.

-He befriended Zekrom as he sticks true to his Ideals, he also befriended Raikou, Mewtwo and Xurkitree.

Putting the rest under a read more since it’s getting long.

-As he isn’t fully human but a glitch, he knows of MissingNo. He’s one of the few that know about it that doesn’t use the poor thing for duplication, instead he tries to treat it as kindly as he can when he can feel it nearby. And no, he will not give secrets.

-The reason he doesn’t want to be caught by Jenny? He’s a hacker, and a damn good one too. He uses it to expose people like Giovanni for what they really are, he doesn’t do just big names either, he exposes anyone corrupt. Looker can’t stand him because Anti hasn’t ever been caught and actively taunts the detective because it’s fun.

-His Hacker Symbol is a green and black glitching Eye and he lets his voice get glitchy so no one can identify him. A play on All Seeing Eye, Always Watching.

-He has an unofficial seventh Pokémon in Rotom, as the little Legendary took a liking to him as he wandered through the Old Chateau where he caught his Gengar then a Gastly, as they were of a similar personality. And the fact Anti laughed when Rotom tried to scare him instead of running away. Rotom helps Anti with his hacking and likes to stay in his phone or laptop, bringing up reminders or information he needs.

-Anti’s usual style is punk/rock, ripped jeans, combat boots, biker jacket, wrist bands, black t shirt, fingerless gloves and a spiked choker. His hair is dyed different shades of green and he keeps it long to tie into a braid or ponytail. And he paints his nails black or dark green and likes liner. Try to make fun of him for it and he will punch you if his Pokémon don’t get to you first.

-His Hacker outfit when he wants to appear is a black trenchcoat, full gloves, uses his static to make the green in his hair to go black, a black mask with a green spray paint jagged smile and holes for his eyes. He only lets one be visible at a time and the other is black.

-The nicknames for his Pokémon are: Luxray is Gamma, Toxtricity is Skrillex, Vikavolt is Beetleguise, Nidoking is Kaiju, Gengar is Mort and Naganadel is Mordred and Rotom is ED-E

-The scar we all know him for is still there and in this AU it was gotten when he was younger, more reckless and didn’t care who saw what he did trying to do what he felt was the right thing. It’s why he prefers not to be seen now.

-He can beat the elite four of most Regions if he wants too, but he doesn’t want to be tied down to one place like he knows he will be if he’s Champion. So he just moves when he gets all the badges, is currently exploring every inch of Galar as he pleases.

-He has a soft spot for kids and will give them advice with care for their Pokémon and won’t go too hard on them. And do not make a little kid cry or Arcues forbid hurt one around him or he will end you.

-He met Zekrom while transitioning through Unova to get to Alola through the airport. The dragon reached out to him with telepathy as Zekrom could sense him and was curious as Anti wasn’t like anyone else. Anti decided to stay a bit to talk with Zekrom and they became friends.

-Mewtwo was an intense meeting. Anti had decided to do some digging into an attempt of resurgence of Team Rocket in their home turf and also caught Kaiju whike he was there, and he heard rumors about the strong Legendary returning to it’s Region of birth. And he wanted to fight them just to see how strong they were. He didn’t mean his Pokémon either as he didn’t want to endanger them from Mewtwo’s psychic attacks, Anti knows how to kick someone’s butt without his Pokémon, so yes. He challenged Mewtwo to a direct fight.

-No, Anti has never claimed to be fully sane, why do you ask? XD

-The fight ended with Anti laying on the cave floor panting, but with a mile wide grin and Mewtwo was also a bit out of breath. Using telepathy Mewtwo congratulated Anti for being the first human to impress with both his bravery and his utter recklessness. And now the two meet up every so often to fight. Yes, Mewtwo has used both Mega Forms in said fights.

-Also yes, Anti’s Pokemon are very worried for their Trainer’s lack of self preservation. XD

-Raikou was met in a thunderstorm when he took shelter in a cave after he got lost in Alola. It was a very tense night as Anti wasn’t sure if the Legendary Beast was going to attack him or not because they didn’t tend to like many humans, but when Anti ended up passing out to get sleep, he woke to find Raikou had curled up around him with Gamma to keep him warm. Mort could only do so much as a ghost and didn’t want to make him colder. Yes, he got to pet Raikou and the roaming Legendary has very soft fur.

-Xurkitree was an interesting one, in Alola he’d heard about the Ultra Beasts but didn’t expect to find any as it had been a little while since they were first sighted and he assumed someone had already caught them. But apparently not as the living live wire ended up following him from the Memorial he stopped to pay respects at. Xurkitree was very affectionate despite Anti’s grumpy nature towards the constant attempts at hugs or cuddles, Anti figures it’s probably due to his static.

-Befriending Xurkitree was also how he met and caught Naganadel, then Poipole as the little poison type Ultra Beast ended up finding them both and was impressed with the strength of Anti’s other Pokémon and wanted to get that strong.

I’ve been obsessed with Pokémon Sword recently and it got me wondering what kind of Pokémon teams you’re characters would have? Also, I love you’re recent pieces lately. Keep it up :)

So it has been over 2 months since you sent me this ask and I really apologize for the delay! ;w; When I got your ask, I spent a good little while going through the Pokémon list and trying to figure what each of my OCs would have in their Pokémon teams. Then, I was suddenly struck by the desire to draw the teams. So here you have it, my OCs with their respective Pokémon teams!

Niall is a historian and an etymologist specialized in the Galar region. He’s been trying to research the most mysterious parts of Galar’s history and piecing together a coherent image of what the past might have looked like. One theory he’s been working on is reconstructing the name Galar and suggesting it might have originally been “Gal-Ard”, which translates out to “high battle frenzy”. (an early name for Gigantamax, perhaps?) 

As a youngster Niall had started his journey on becoming a Pokémon trainer, but had to stop when his parents got sick and he returned home to care for them until they passed away. Now he has dedicated himself to research and his team is more or less retired, though they all stick around because he lives in an isolated cottage in the countryside (they have the option to leave if they wish to return to the wild, but they enjoy each other’s company too much to split ways for the time being)

Patrick has just started his journey to become a Pokemon trainer. He comes from a broken home with parents who should have divorced a long time ago. He has low confidence in his abilities to be a trainer and is making tentative steps to improve himself and train his Pokémon to be stronger. Patrick got Luxray from his grandfather and Luxray has completely taken upon himself the role of a protector for this little group. 

Ian falls somewhere into the categories of a heritage specialist and a philanthropist. Ian comes from a pretty rich family and was a bit of a spoiled brat since anything he wished for, he would get (like he would go “I want a Ponyta!” and the next day, there would be a Ponyta waiting for him in the garden). Ian was however a pretty lonely child because his parents were always too busy with business, events, and parties, so he set out to become a Pokémon trainer. On the road, he became aware of the realities of how others lived and realized the privilege he had been born into. He eventually stopped his journey and instead went into studies to become a heritage specialist for the Galar region. He does a lot of research into Galarian customs and traditions that have been forgotten or are in danger of disappearing due to lack of knowledge and support. (he’s trying to revive the tradition of wearing kilts, something that used to be a norm in some parts of the Galar region) He supports various charities and helps out in hosting charity events. He still has his team as he’s closely bonded to all of them, they’re more family to him than his parents ever were.

Emrys and his Pokémon form a rescue tea who are mainly active in the mountains, caves, mines and isolated villages of the Galar region. Emrys went through an unfortunate childhood trauma in which he and his twin brother had gone exploring an abandoned mine near their village. His twin brother fell down a mine shaft and was injured, and Emrys ran home to get help. It was hours later that an emergency rescue team finally reached the isolated village and by that time... help had come too late. 

He was haunted by the memory for many years and eventually he left home because he couldn’t bear to live in a place with so many painful memories. Emrys got the basic training to become a nurse and provide emergency care. He decided to create a Pokémon team that would be able to offer their aid in the most isolated parts of Galar. They mainly take cases of people and Pokemon going missing in the wilderness or accidents happening in the mountains or mines.

In the region of Gaia, the Shin-Ra Electric Power Company brings electricity to the planet through means unknown to the public. Serving Shin-Ra are two groups: Team SOLDIER and Team Turk. Team Turk scout out members for Team SOLDIER and while they mostly have a rivalry between each other, some are friends.

Both Teams are required to perform PR stunts on occasion, with SOLDIER being the poster-child of the company and Turk more often than not appearing with Rufus Shinra.

Team Turk consists of all Turks with Veld being the Team Leader with Tseng, Reno and Rude as Admins.

Reno is well-known for having a Houndoom that MegaEvolves, however he does all his PR and photo-ops with his Salazzle (nicknamed Slizard).

When Reno is first fought, he uses this team: Heat Rotom Houndoom

In his first double-battle with Rude, he uses: Heat Rotom Elektross Houndoom

After this, he can be found leaving Rotom in its regular Electric form for double-battles, and at some point he gives his Rotom to Elena for her to use in its Ice form.

From then on, Reno uses this team for double-battles: Morpeko Eelektross Houndoom

He’ll just use Elektross and Houndoom for any triple-battles. (I’m taking triple-battle to mean 3 people vs 3 people)

For his final solo fight, his team is as follows: Morpeko Luxray Salazzle Eelektross Houndoom - MegaEvolves

When Houndoom is defeated, he’s tossed a final ball:

Toxtricity (low-key form) - Gigantamaxes (Because he likes surprises.)

His final triple-battle is fought using Houndoom and Toxtricity.

After this, he becomes more amicable towards the heroes and shows how little he cares about fighting people who keep beating his ass.
