Hey!! I love all your fics, especially your Better Man Series it’s definitely my favorite Jake Seresin story on Tumblr!!

I was hoping to put in a request for Jake if I may!!

The reader is Maverick’s daughter and Jake’s wife and is a elementary school teacher on base (kindergarten or 1st grade), and maybe she brings her class to Top Gun on a field trip so all the kids can see the plane’s and all the kids are so excited!

There is this one little boy who is as cute as a button and has little round glasses (because for some reason I think little boys with glasses are absolutely adorable) and he is practically attached to the readers hip because he’s shy and has really bonded with the reader, he’s definitely her favorite student.

Jake sees how the reader is with the little boy, lifting him up to see parts of the jet, holding his hand the whole time, and snapping a few pictures of him and the other kids for their parents and for you to put up in your class room. Watching you interact with the kids makes him really want a baby with you and maybe later that night he mentions that he wants a baby and the reader is so happy because she had been thinking of how to tell Jake that she wanted to start trying for a baby. They immediately start trying for a baby (maybe we see the baby making haha 😂) and after a few months they find out they are pregnant!

They tell the rest of the squad and everyone is so happy for them, Mav definitely cries because he’s finally going to be a grandpa. Jake dotes on the reader through her whole pregnancy and will even stop by the school to eat lunch with her and spend some time with her class, now the little boy is attached to Jake as well. When the reader goes into labor Jake is there coaching her through the whole process helping her in anyway he can. When the baby is finally born they are both in awe of how much it looks like both of them and they couldn’t be more in love.

And to think that if maybe the reader had brought her kids to Top Gun sooner, she would have already had a baby and she and Jake wouldn’t have had to tiptoe around each other.

I’m sorry this is so long, I just love the way you write so much and couldn’t resist!! I hope you can find the time to write this, I’m sure you are very busy! But if not, I completely understand!! Thank you!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Different things: It's an adoption story (Reader does IVF) and it twins instead of just the boy.

Tell us a random fact about any fic!

there is a light that never goes out started out as a writing challenge for me! I was trying to just write a sensory-immersive vignette from a different ST character's pov ~ For some reason my brain gravitated toward Jonathan even though I hadn't thought much of him til that point! And then it sortof.....just kept speaking to me until Chrissy showed and bloomed into the whole long fic. so there was no intention for it other than a writing exercise initially, but I got swept away in the moment and 50k words later, it's finito ;P

The scene you worked the hardest on in any fic?

Has to be for my fantasy/medieval au Aurelias!! So many scenes give me trouble, because it takes a lot of work for me to change the style of writing to match the setting and still make it digestible. But the one that sticks out the most is the reveal of Chrissy's true nature! There was a lot of give-and-take between the mystery of her father's job, her new creepy suitor Henry Creel stirring shit up, and Chrissy's powers becoming uncontrollable. I'm still working on how to write better eavesdropping scenes lol, but I really liked the way their emotional confession concluded between her and her father. Not quite fully honest, but more truth than she's heard her entire life.

Each Dialtown cast member shares their favourite Muppet!

Idea: Characters from the cast of Dialtown are asked to share their favourite characters from The Muppets, in order to get the Muppets fandom on board with DT, which winds up being a largely fruitless ordeal.

Gingi insists that Grover and Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street are Muppets when asked, and takes it badly when Gingi is instead asked to name a character FROM The Muppet Show. The ensuing discussion that follows is much too rancid to be published online, making the time spent trying to calm Gingi down entirely in vain.

Karen's comments are not published as she refuses to do ANYTHING other than vent frustrations about Kermit the Frog, making her comments unusable as they would undoubtedly piss off a large section of the Muppets fandom, who largely venerate Kermit the Frog.

Randy tries to make an argument for Scooter being the 'best one', feeling that he, himself, is the scooter of the Dialtown cast, and thus, must stick up for one of his ilk. This answer is NOT published because the internet would tear him to shreds for playing devil's advocate for the worst Muppet.

Randy is then given another opportunity to pick a favourite Muppet, provided he selects a different Muppet. Randy picks Pepe the Prawn. When asked why Pepe is his favourite, tears well on his screen and he asks if he can leave to get a glass of water. Upon leaving the room, Randy never comes back. The answer isn't included in the article, as it's impossible to discern whether Randy feels that Pepe the Prawn is truly a kindred soul or if he was simply put on the spot and felt pressured to simply name the first Muppet he thought of.

Oliver answers by explaining Gonzo is his favourite but every time he's given an opportunity to explain why, his explanation inevitably transitions into a rambling endorsement of anarchism. Each time, after he's been given an opportunity to explain himself, Oliver is asked to rephrase his answer to be less political and he accepts, apologizing for his mistake and swearing that he understands what the blog is looking for now. Oliver then proceeds to somehow transition back into an endorsement of anarchism until the interviewer gives up and decides to leave him out of the article.

We're not actually sure who Norm likes the best from the Muppets cast because before we could get to Norm, Gingi (irate that Grover/Oscar the Grouch were rejected as its answer) told Norm about Big Bird dying in the Challenger explosion (which happened in DT's timeline), prompting Norm to get really upset and leave before his turn came up. Norm's favourite character is PROBABLY Sam Eagle, but now, we'll never get to know for sure. Thanks, Gingi.

Mingus, when asked, declined to answer out of sheer disinterest. Upon being shown a photo of the extended Muppet cast, she arbitrarily pointed to Robin the Frog and said "That one, I guess." Upon being asked why she would pick Kermit's nephew of all characters, her response was: "It's no business of mine who this frog is related to. Nobody is well-connected enough to ensure they'll live if I deem them a threat to my success." After being reminded that Robin is canonically a child, Mingus retorted by pointing out that Robin is, in fact, a fictional frog puppet. Not sure what to do with this answer, but we certainly can't include it.

Stabby + Shooty are asked for their favourites and they pick Statler and Waldorf respectively. When asked why, they explain it's because they're cool, wear suits, deliver CUTTING jabs, and each hang out with their best bro all day, not unlike themselves. The blog operator remarks: "Oh. I figured it was because, like you guys, they're kinda interchangeable and are pretty much overlooked by everyone", causing Stabby to angrily flip a table and storm out of the room. Shooty apologies meekly for his outburst and leaves to calm his companion down. The answer is not published as the interviewer had no clue which was Stabby and which was Shooty, thus being unable to accurately attribute the answers to either of them.

Bigfoot's favourite character turns out to be Animal, and this is the only answer that ends up being published.

Hi everyone! I know I don't have a lot of followers but I still hope this will reach as much people as possible.

Last night a friend of mine @gingiesworld got a weird message from an anon. At first she didn't think much of it, it made her uncomfortable but she brushed it off and decide to not answer them but they keep sending messages getting creepier each time. Not only they decided to harass her when they don't know anything about her but they also decided to disrespect her, her girlfriend and their relationship. After a while Gingie had the good idea to turned off the anon feature, when blocking them failed, thinking that now they would stop bit they didn't so now we have their username.

An other friend @olsenn decided to confront them but they tried to play dumb.

Gingie successful blocked and report them but for now this creep is still here so I just wanted to warn everyone about them. Their username is @ahumaninlove

As for you, creep, honestly you disgust me. I don't know who you are and what happened in your life to give the confidence and the audacity to do that but it's disgusting and pathetic. You should be ashamed of yourself. She doesn't owe you anything and don't have to participate in your little fantasy. And her girlfriend is, and always be, everything to her, you can't even compare to this woman. Leave them alone.

Just me thinking about Grayson and Madeline's kindergarten graduation and the entire Dagger Squad showing up to cheer them on because now they have this massive family who absolutely love and adore them and just 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

No, but imagine if something happens and the squad is late. Miss CeCe is trying to cheer up the twin while they're on stage and Gray is doing okay and handling it like a trooper. But Laine is nearly crying and CeCe can't do anything as they stand on a little stage. She's trying to get Laine to laugh or smile. But then the whole squad shows up in their flight suits, and as soon as Laine sees them she's smiling and giving a little wave. Which gets Gray's attention and now both of them are smiling and bouncing on their toes. Though once the principle finishes the ceremony up, the squad is making their way down the isle, and Laine launches off the stage to Jake. Squealing "Daddy" and it's just perfect.

an oc ive had since like. 2019. who i just dialtownified. lil bit of info on her under cut

she's a townie who can only be found three times in game (1. during ch1 where you can go to her apartment and knock on her door. she will answer and instantly freak out, screaming and crying that the 'angel of death' found where she lives and will promptly slam the door in your face and lock it. this will also prompt jackson to interact with you if you havent already gone to his apartment. | 2. in kara's ch1, she is one of three townies who approaches kara toward the end of the date and asks for pictures. shes also the one who spots gingi after the eggs are laid and freaks out about it which prompts the ending interaction with kara. | 3. in cora's ch2, she appears in the gas station. typegingi encourages cora to attempt flirting with her and when she realizes whats going on she laughs it off and insists they try it on someone better ["You seem lovely, but you really shouldn't waste your efforts here! I'm like, the absolute worst."] and when cora turns back to typegingi for assistance, she notices them, freaks out, and runs out of the building)

she was originally supposed to have a ladder for a head to play on the superstition of walking under one being bad luck but it was decided the effort to put an actual ladder on her was too much and she got a stepstool instead

while she adores bright colors and cute aesthetics she has a morbid curiosity about death and decay, and is terrified of her own mortality. as such she actively avoids places she thinks shes most likely to die at (namely the morgue, the cinema, the woods, the casino, the funfair, and town hall), but will go to them if accompanied by a friend

she tends to act a little dumb but is actually pretty smart, though she has a habit of only busting out intelligence if she notices she might be put in danger otherwise

she Adores flowers, and works at a little florists shop in downtown with another oc of mine :-)
