#the cabinet of dr. caligari#caligariposting#btw the general is this american silent film (score aint bad) about this guy who wants to fight in the civil war (for the south) but they#say he can't because he's “more valuable as an engineer” then his gf and his gfs dad dont like him anymore because they think since he cant#fight hes weak. then war breaks out or smth and his precious train (named the general) is taken by the enemy or smth so he goes to reclaim#the train#btw they said he has two loves: his train and his girl#but it appears his gf has been kidnapped by the terrible union army and while hes on his way to reclaim his train he finds his gf#in like a cabin held hostage or smth#so he saves her#steals the train#and makes it back to where ever he came from alive or smth#idk#i need to watch it again#it was funny tho#its also the source of that one gif of a guy standing on the plate thingy on the front of a train there's a log blocking the track and he#throws a log at the log on the track and offsets the log thus saving his train and his escape#this gif: https://giphy.com/gifs/train-man-save-13sc1Erq6rAoQU
