I wouldn’t expect to be offered food if visiting someone’s house???
#glad this whole thing is bringing attention to issues and social justice causes that need more attention in Sweden#but the whole food thing is wild to me???#my family always offers people food when they come over like as a kid#but I wouldn’t expect to be offered food at someone else’s house?#it’s not like you’re there for many days?#just a couple hours#plus like why eat someone else’s food you don’t know how they make it or have any input on what is being served or how that family conducts#their dinners it’s quite nerve wracking and uncomfortable when u simply can eat#when u get home???#who gets hungry every few hours??? (barring medical conditions which of course are exempt)#maybe it’s just that I have weird relations to food but#I knew Americans liked large portion sizes and left overs#didn’t realize I was missing that they also love feeding people? I mean I’m#from New Jersey I’m Italian I guess I just slipped through the cracks here#it feels weird and wrong to eat at someone else’s house just wait for them to finish?#gravical#like snakcking is on thin ice if it’s just u and ur friend#or like a birthday party with multiple people and multiple parents
