i need more tfota edits. but not like the minimalist edits with the quasi-edited, semi-relevant photo and the one line from the book in a small, unassuming beige sans serif font; or the four pics that all have the same colour palette/filter so they vaguely fit together but really more in a moodboard sense (which are both fine! btw. just not what i'm craving rn).

i need the tfota edits like they used to make them on here- with loads of overlays and saturation. with bold fonts, sometimes overlapping each other, sometimes skewed at odd angles. bitches would go out into the depths of the interwebs and dredge up priceless pearls of photos and they wouldn't just place the photos side by side– they'd create atmosphere. i love that shit. give me excess! give me overripe colours and design! give me unhinged maximalism!

What if we had a few more seconds with Lake and Jesse at the end of the series? Not a few minutes. Not a full scene. A few seconds. Like, all the main characters from all the books are getting a few flashes of their future for some reason. I think we'd see Lake receiving her high school diploma, cap and gown and everything. They take the diploma and awkwardly smile for a picture (kinda like that toothy smile they had on their face in the beginning of The Parasite Car, but with lines under her eyes). Then, appearing from offscreen, Jesse tackle hugs them in congratulations and obvious pride, positively beaming, and Lake's smile becomes much more easygoing. With this five second moment, we get the three confirmations that would be most important to the story of Book 2. 1. Lake is mentally recovered enough from their trauma to enjoy their life. 2. Lake has managed to fit in well enough in society to graduate from high school. 3. Jesse is still a very important figure in Lake's life.
