the handwriting post I just reblogged reminded me of how when I was a little kid (like 1st-2nd grade) my sister (2 years older) taught me how to write in cursive and I had actually gotten the hang of it but later I'd gotten in trouble in class and had to re-do certain assignments bc I'd do them in cursive and the teacher told me we weren't "there yet". :\
