i finally caught up with shortonegaming AAAAAA CHAPTER FOUR.... i'm thinking nonsense about a canon divergent scenario in which the plan succeeds and gonta actually makes it through the trial because everyone votes wrong....... i know that is blatantly not something that ever would have happened LOL because of everything you already laid out in your ch4 posts BUT LIKE the horror of carrying out this plan and succeeding and having everyone die only to step out of the school and it was a tv show the whole time.. maybe not the same hell that he and kokichi saw in the flashback light, but.....

I DUNNO i don't have anything cool to add this chapter and v3 as a whole is just so fucking sad............ that's why it's my favorite i think, the whole game is just so deeply tragically unfair and it makes the tv show twist hit so hard and make so much sense. i want to hug gonta so so so so much

I THINK ABOUT THIS AU ALL THE TIME TOO. Having to face the outside world on his own, discovering that none of it was real and he had sacrificed them all for nothing, being forced into interviews, being recognized in public... I don't know how he'd be able to cope with it, honestly. Not to mention the guilt of everyone else dying because of him (on top of the unrelated deaths he already blamed on himself). I have the song Last Living Buffalo by Being Dead on my Gonta playlist for this reason.

Chapter 4 is absolutely gutting and I totally agree with you- the fact that v3 is so tragic makes the fact that it was all for someone else's entertainment hit so much harder. I really really adore this chapter!!
