Fun story with this design. I was commissioned in 2020 to come up with some shirt designs for the Good Brothers’ debut in Impact Wrestling. I tried to come up with a design that acknowledged their past (Bullet Club, NJPW, WWE), without hitting you over the head with it. This was part of one of my concepts that was ultimately not used, but one I’ve kept in my back pocket as I’m rather fond of it. However, one of my designs did get used, and made it on TV a few times. The ‘Good Brothers’ World Tour’ has been my one claim to fame in the wrestling shirt world!!

Another amazing piece I won in the 2023 round of @fandomtrumpshate. This one is by the incredible arts_and_seabass (IG).

This one has a bit of a context! It's an illustration of two scenes, one from my fic, Carry Me Home, and the other from i know my kingdom awaits by @hell-heron (go, go read it, it's amazing!). The scenes parallel each other somewhat intentionally, as IKMKA is an AU of CMH. Back-to-back shots of two different instances of Theon saving his younger, redhead "foster brother" who looks up to him, Robb Stark in the first and Greydon Goodbrother in the second.

Spirits were high ahead of the event he had looked forward to most and he practically bounded over to where iravan was stood, hand clapping onto his brother's shoulder to announce his presence. "what do you think, brother, will they allow us to be in the same boat or will the separate us knowing it will be too easy for us otherwise?" glance over his shoulder was spared towards the other competitors, cockiness winning out that they would give them little trouble should the goodbrothers be allowed to be united. "and if gisele is with us too?" click of his tongue giving along with a shake of his head as though they couldn't possibly measure up.

Ngl, but I really, really, really want Art!Egg to get hugged by like Ser Harwin or Leanor. Just a mentor, maybe pseudo not quite parental figure because let's face it. Aegon is kinda a cesspool of trauma. and I both want him to suffer a bit and get the comfort he deserves

"Well done, Prince Aegon!" His goodbrother cheers, clapping him on the back with enough strength to tip him forwards.

Aegon turns a scowl at the knight. "I lasted five minutes," he mutters, and he knows that it's a feat. He knows that a boy of four and ten lasting five minutes against a blooded knight is a feat to be praised but he isn't just a boy of four and ten. Egg knows he can be better, knows he should be better than he is, but he keeps stumbling over growing limbs and arms that begin to shake too quickly and-

Ser Laenor laughs, bright and loud, and swings an arm over his shoulders as he leans in close. "You almost had me at points," the knight admits easily.

Distantly.

His ears are ringing, the sound of waves and steel nigh drowning all else out. The arm around his shoulders is warm, almost scalding, brands of flame flickering along his skin and he-

"I see why my boys speak so highly of your training," Ser Laenor is saying.

He wants to flinch away.

He can't move.

"...Prince Aegon?"

The arm shifts away, taking the burning-scalding-warmth with it, and a part of him keens for the loss. He wants to run. He wants that arm around his shoulders again and he-

Aegon swallows, marshalling every part of himself that is Arthur Pendragon, King of Camelot, and pretends this is normal. Pretends that his chest isn't aching for Wet Stick and Blue and his girls and the easy touches each of them gives.

He smiles and pretends he isn't going to burst out of his skin.

That he isn't hungry.

(Helaena doesn't like touch and that's fine, he understands. Egg has seen it before and he's proud that when his sister does want touch she'll curl into his side because she trusts him. Aemond doesn't care either way, not now he's growing.

he's not sure Viserys remembers they exist. any of them. Egg is fine with that, given that Rhaenyra has their father's favour and the King treats her like that. but the man has never hugged him in his memory

his mother had stopped once he could walk)

lady regnarra drumm & lord wulffryd goodbrother.

house goodbrother and drumm of old wyk were close before lord denys iv drumm wed the young lady yorra goodbrother + they have always been close allies.  it wasn’t a huge surprise that the cousins mixed well together and shared similar dispositions and values, despite their varying ages.

wulffryd is fifteen years regnarra’s senior and they were not close in her initial youth for obvious age reasons. they would begin to bond over a shared devotion to the drowned god , and how even as a child she would brave the icy waters of the sea , as he would as a man grown , to bathe as iron-borns ‘should’.   by the time she had initiated a contest of faith at six years old, he had already considered becoming a drowned man himself and had shared with her many more of the stories of the drowned god and his adversary in the storm god.

several years later when noare , wulffryd’s younger brother , died unexpectedly in the night , and with his eldest sister married to house harlaw — coupled with regnarra’s wild outbursts whilst her elder brother dagon was absent & tenured as a sea captain — he took her under his wing. and wulffryd's own correcting under a harsh but loving hand had allowed him to curb her impertinent and fiery temper.  wulfrydd was often amazed at her fierce loyalty , understanding and recollection of the drowned god’s rites and rituals. he's always been proud of her , and she has always looked up to and respected him.

years gone by , when regnarra approached her father for the right to act as commanding executioner for ritual or sacrifice of house drumm in his stead , and then was granted that right — wulffryd was the first of her relatives she announced the news to. the two celebrated long into the night at the honour and privilege she had finally been granted after so many years of being dismissed from the religion due to her gender.

in general the goodbrother took more enjoyment in the actual event rather than where he placed. but this time pride was smarting from their narrow defeat in the westerlands and he was quickly learning that while he did not care about his own results, those of his fellow islanders did. so even though the race was different, he could not help but see it as a rematch and a chance for them to claim the victory they should have had. "I cannot decide if these tyrells are foolish to put us together again or not. do you think they think us little threat after last time?" if that were the case he would see that he proved them wrong but he continued without waiting for a response, correcting himself. "more likely that it was left to chance and they are fairer than most." with the fondness he held for the youngest he liked to think they were an improvement on many other mainlanders. "either way I won't question it when it at least means that we are together once more."
