This baby boy is so timid he’s very quiet so talking with him can be like talking to air because sometimes you don’t get a response. He’s not being rude don’t get me wrong! It’s just he’s spends so much time listening that he forgets to answer

He likes picking random flowers for you of any kind!, he even picks out all the little bugs for you but he just puts them on a new flower cause he doesn’t have the heart to hurt them

He doesn’t really like eating lunch together cause he has to show his sharp teeth and he gets scared if you look at them for to long, even if your a Carnivores or Omnivores it still triggers something inside him

You have to defend him from rude,nasty comments cause I feel like most of the time he won’t stand up for himself. He tells you not to cause he doesn’t want you to get insulted or worse but you have to reassure him your fine

If your comfortable with it he would love to show you the bugs he found and let you hold them! But if you don’t like bugs that’s completely fine too but if there’s one you want to kill he probably won’t do it he’ll just grab em and put it outside where it can touch you

Loves rambling about bug facts and such but if he notices you getting bored or he’s rambling for too long he’ll shut up right away

He does get protective if needed too even if your bigger then him and stronger that doesn’t matter to him he just worry’s a lot

Even with this in mind when it comes to his family he’d put that aside he cares about them deeply

He spends most of his time with you and would probably like to stay that way I feel like he wouldn’t mind hanging around other people but he’d prefer to stay around you most of the time

Part 1

One could take all the preventions in this world, be cautious all you want but another animal isn't… and you get all caught up in their mess. There is also such a thing as bad luck and a bike accident was just such a thing. It happened so fast, Y/n wasn't able to react to it.

**** The moment the bike hit the concrete wall, I assumed I was dead. The bicycle had flipped so many times that I had become disorientated. I kept waking up, only to become unconscious again. I preferred to be unconscious rather than awake. Because when I was awake I could taste the coppery blood pooling in my mouth. I could feel it grazing my teeth and soaking my tongue. I felt the aching and cracks in my bones. Each crack felt like rocks were burrowing into my skin. I sucked in cramped air, feeling my lungs caving in on themselves. I could hear the sound. It was a noise, mangled metal. I saw the spots in the corners of my vision. Then came a blue flicker, the sound of sirens in the distance.

To say Yafya was panicking, was an understatement. The horse swallowed hard, trying to keep the stoic expression he was known to wear. But from the corner of his eye, Gosha could tell his friend was scared. He was scared of losing someone who had crawled their way into his heart unexpectedly. The ride to the hospital was rather quiet; time seemed to pass in slow motion. Yafya decided to keep his eyes on the road, keeping himself from spiraling. 'What if the last thing he sees is your lifeless body, rotting away in a hospital bed?' 'What if you died, without ever knowing how much he loved you and how you are worthy?' 'What if you leave this world feeling underappreciated, filled with bitterness about all the animals (including him) that took you for granted?' It was clear that the view wasn't helping him at all with his thoughts.

**** Once the nurse greeted them and explained the accident, she let the visitors through Y/N's room, where the little fox was resting. Louis and Legoshi felt bad when they saw Y/N. After their unexpected visit a few months ago, they had become quite close, since there wasn't a big age difference. Haru had also been introduced to Y/N and had hit it off immediately. After a couple of minutes, the only one present was Yafya.

**** It hadn't been long since the accident, and as my aburn eyes open slowly, adjusting to the light of the room, I remembered my near-death experience vividly. I didn't exactly know where I was but from the cold metal bed rails, the soft pillows, and the scent of get-well flowers, I could guess it was a hospital. But what really got my attention was the soft snoring sounds that came from below. Slowly, I turned my gaze to the sleeping horse, sitting next to me on the floor, his hand holding my own. Looking at him, Yafya's pose didn't seem at all comfortable. Despite his young appearance, Yafaya was already in his 50s and it made me worry that his body could possibly hurt later on. Subconsciously, my small hand started caressing his much bigger one. His hand was rough, his nails shorter than mine, but I couldn't care less. My eyes traced over his facial features; loose strands of his black crest falling, covering his eyes. Though my scouting came to an end when the sound of the door opening interrupted my concentration. Panicking, I closed my eyes, pretending to be asleep. The doctor and nurse stepped into the room, waking Yafya in the process. I kept my eyes close. Attentively, I listened to the doctor and the old herbivore talking about me. After asking about personal information and things such as insurance, the nurse replaced my serum and both left the room again. I could feel Yafya's intense gaze on me, but my eyes were kept shut. After a couple of silent seconds, I heard a chair being dragged across the floor, shuffling, and silence again. I tried my best to keep my cover and act unconscious as best as I could. My curiosity slowly betraying me. "I like you," he finally said. "No, I'm not expecting a reaction, I'm just stating the fact that I like you. I've been in major denial for months now, denying these feelings inside my heart but I'm done. I like you. There… it's out in the world." Yafya took a deep breath before continuing, "I like you, and if you don't feel the same, that is okay too. I'm not expecting you to like me back, no one ever does." And I could only wonder how the hell someone could see his face, hear his thoughts, and look at his smile, but not fall in love with him.

“Maybe we shouldn’t. This could raise a lot of questions,” Gosha murmured as he stroked the fur of your shoulder absentmindedly. You were cuddled into his side, your head resting against his broad chest enjoying your post sex haze.

Gosha had just fucked you into a new dimension, pounding you in the mating press position round after round with no mercy. Your brain was foggy and you could barely move your limbs you were so fucked out but you’d also never been as satisfied sexually as when you were with him. You were planning to head home and change after work but a last minute emergency at your job had set you back over an hour, forcing you to forego changing into your new dress you’d bought just for this occasion. It was pink with a navy blue pattern and made you look like a wholesome Kindergarten teacher, the perfect outfit to win over Gosha’s grandson. Kids usually gravitated towards bright colors.

Yet now you’d have to meet him in your pencil skirt and button down you always wore to work. Worst of all, you were still in your heels, not even remembering to bring a pair of flats with you.

You checked yourself in the mirror, fluffing the fur of your face a little before heading into the restaurant. You were able to find the table easily, Gosha’s large form sticking out like a sore thumb.

“Hey, so sorry I’m late I got held u-” your sentence died in your throat as you gazed at the wolf sitting across from Gosha, looking like his spinning image. The Wolf’s eyes widened in shock as realization struck him.

“You?!” His eyes flickered between yourself and his grandfather.

“Uh, do you two know each other?” Gosha asked innocently, standing up so that he could pull a chair out for you.

“We went to school together, he was in the grade below me. I thought you said your grandson was young?” You asked, sitting down.

“Well he is, compared to me,” Gosha chuckled. Neither you nor the wolf before you joined in.

“Y/N, this is Legoshi, my grandson. Legoshi, this is Y/N, my girlfriend,” Gosha smiled, returning to his seat.

“Nice to meet you, Legoshi,” you said with forced warmth.

“Likewise,” he said in a monotone voice.

Dinner proceeded as awkward as ever. Legoshi hardly said a word, choosing instead to glare at his plate before him, or off to the side, refusing to even look at you. Gosha could recognize the situation was not ideal, and tried to keep the conversation afloat to no avail.

“I’m... gonna go pay the bill and put a couple of orders in for desert to go. Legoshi, anything spark your interest?” Gosha asked cheerfully as if the last hour and a half hadn’t been pure torture.

“No,”

“Alright, and what about you, darling?” He asked turning towards you.

“You know what I like,” you smiled at him and you could see from your peripheral Legoshi’s face twitch in irritation. Gosha headed to the front, leaving you and Legoshi alone for the first time.

“Okay, cut the act Y/N.” Legoshi started, the second his grandfather was out of eashot, “What are you doing here? What is it you want from him? Is it money?”

You were so offended, you could have struck him right then and there.

“How dare you accuse me of that? I happen to be in love with him-“

“He’s nearly three times your age.” Legoshi deadpanned but you could see that anger was still in his eyes. You were still offended by his words, yet you also understood he just wanted to protect his grandfather.

“Look, ok, I get it. Believe me I do. It’s looks... unconventional. But I couldn’t care less and Gosha feels the same. What everybody else thinks is irrelevant,” you said calmly, “I know you’re protective of your grandfather, he’s a sweet and noble man but he’s not naive nor is he stupid. I didn’t intentionally seek him out in a malicious manner and he knows that. Our relationship just sort of... happened.”

“Look, if I thought someone was trying to use Gosha, I’d be just as angry as you are right now, but I’m not that person. I hope you’ll see that in time,” you finished. Legoshi still didn’t look pleased, but you could see you’d taken the edge off.

“Well, I see he still hasn’t gotten over his thing for wolves,” Legoshi sighed, sitting back. You laughed lightly.

“Believe me, I’m just as shocked to see you, as you are to see me,” you smiled genuinely.

“You’ve gotten prettier, y’know,” Legoshi said suddenly.

“I’ve what?”

“You’ve gotten prettier. Than you were back then, at least. I remember all the other Grey wolves going on and on about you, but I never really saw it. I see it now,” Legoshi stated as if it were obvious.

“I don’t know whether to be offended or worried,” you chuckled dryly.

“It’s just a compliment. Like my grandfather, I’ve never been able to stick to my own kind either,” Legoshi smirked.

“What’s your poison then?”

“Rabbits, apparently. Really anything small, furry,” Legoshi hummed, his mood lightening considerably. Maybe this whole meeting wasn’t a complete failure.

Gosha came back, bid his grandson a farewell, and then the two of you departed as Legoshi headed off.

“I don’t wanna drive back alone, I’ll miss you too much,” you whined, grabbing Gosha’s arm that wasn’t holding desserts as you followed him in the direction of his car.

“We can always come by and get it in the morning,” he said opening the door for you and waiting for you to climb into the passengers seat before closing it.

“You two looked happier when I came back, what happened?” Gosha asked as he drove off.

“Nothing really, just had a friendly chat,” you smiled, gazing at the streetlights illuminating the dark roads.

“Well whatever it was, it definitely helped,” Gosha laughed, the muscles in his arms flexing as he gripped the steering wheel. You placed your hand on his shoulder and let it travel down his toned abdomen until you made it to his thigh, extremely close to dangerous territory.

“You know, I think I’m ready for my desert now,” you uttered, leaning over to unbuckle his belt.

“C’mon, we’re almost home. Be a good girl for me,” Gosha said, grabbing the hand on his thigh in his own and bringing it up for a chaste kiss.

“And what do good girls get?” You pouted.

“A reward,”

“Which is?”

“Cheesecake,” Gosha smirked, leaning back to pick up a small box from the back seat and placing it on your lap.

“I guess that’ll do,” you huffed, opening the box to your favorite baked good, “for now, at least.”

-First of all, adorable.

-Second of all: he treats all those kids like his own grandkids, with the exception that he's still very careful with his venom: he disinfects their hands often. He brings his own picture books so they don't have to touch it if he can.

- He knows most of the parents and is generally well-liked by them, even though they were lowkey scared at first. They realized he was just a nice supportive grandpa...

- Gosha gives as much affection as he can to those kids, he knows how life is for hybrids. He's constantly reminded of how Leano ended up and refuses to let other kids go through that.

-He's the one who suggested the idea of the kids drawing their parents, he even joined them by drawing his own family (he's not good at drawing). He praised all of the kids' drawings. The teacher was the one hanging them above the door. By doing so, he's trying to make the kids accept both of their sides.

- The teacher is actually a hybrid herself, she's only 3/4 impala. Gosha met her several years ago when she baby sitted Legoshi. If he's like an uncle to those kids, he's a little bit like an uncle to her as well!!

-The daycare is pretty poor and often targetted by anti hybrids and such. However, they are still in a pretty cozy room, Gosha helped to build a lot of furniture from scraps. He tried to sew plushies but was... unsuccessful, the kids still loved it.

-The reason they aren't more targetted by anti-hybrid groups is that Gosha terrifies most people. Some tried once and never did again, don't underestimate the old lizard man!!!

-Sometimes when he gets back to his apartment after visiting the daycare, he gets melancholic for a bit. He just sits in front of his wife and Leano's shrine, often checking if Legoshi called him. He's kind of a lonely grandpa...

-Now that Legoshi contacted him again, he often thinks of the right time to bring him to visit the daycare!! Especially since he admitted having the hot for a bunny, he wants to show him that hybrid kids are alright. Maybe he should bring Legoshi's girlfriend too... This thought always makes him wonder what she's like. He hopes he will not have grand-grand kids just yet!! He's too young for that!

- If you're his s/o, he will 100% take them to volunteer with him if they're from a different species. He knows most people will be a little freaked out by dating a komodo dragon, it's his way to comfort you about it. The kids are just super accepting of it and will call you uncle/aunt/auncle. Though he's kind of shy about showing affection in front of them, his look as he holds those kids say everything. He's a very loving man.

Things To Note

Carnivores may not know Yahya by name, but they have all heard about the Black Devil.

If carnivores are hellspawn, then the Black Devil is hell itself.

As a carnivore, you have heard stories about him. Stories are hard to forget, and it will be a while until you are comfortable around your lover.

Likewise, Yahya has quite a few problematic views of his own. This isn't a case of “true love can fix him”— this is a case of “he needs to get professional help”.

He's always had problems dealing with negative emotions— especially when it came to carnivores.

Bottom line: the both of you will need to be patient with each other. Honesty is the best policy — at least, if either of you want this relationship to work.

Emotional Hurdles

Yahya is a very emotional creature.

His emotions are raw, and raw emotions tend to fester and grow into animosity over time. And then, they die out.

But with Yahya, his emotions don't die— they are buried. Like a poison, they seep into his daily actions, and into his beliefs, where he always manages to justify his feelings.

Case in point: Yahya held a violent grudge against carnivores, and against interspecies relationships all because an interspecies relationship came in between his friendship with Gosha, a carnivore.

This being said, expect Yahya to project that animosity onto a carnivorous partner.

Similarly, expect a carnivore S/O to be fearful of Yahya at first— the Black Devil is just that; a devil.

Alternatively, Yahya’s partner may feel guilty over their relationship with him.

Every carnivore knows that he kills their kind; and gets away with it. You know this, and yet, you still allow yourself to be in a relationship with him.

Wouldn't that make you a traitor to carnivore-kind, in a sense?

You have to fight off these thoughts often.

He's also not a very affectionate person, but he would be willing to cuddle if you initiated it.

He grows to enjoy your affection, but, it takes him a long while before he's able to admit it.

• You and Legosi shared many things as siblings and going to the same school just so happened to be one of them.

• You were his only sister and the youngest one at that, he’s only a year older than you but acts like he’s not. So big brother Legosi had his work cut out for him.

• He’s been overprotective of you asf ever since you were kids. With your mom gone and your dad no where to be found, Legosi had every right to be. The only other animal willing to do that was your grandfather, Gosha but that’s a long story...

• You were only kids when you met Jack and ultimately where your crush on him began.

• “Who’s that wolf over there? She sure is pretty,” you overheard a blonde lab say from behind you during recess causing you to blush at his compliment.

• “THATS MY SISTER!” “Really? She seems way less problematic that you no way you two are related.” The fighting was back on after that but luckily you were there to stop it before any teachers could. With your help they managed to apologized and became friends again.

• As time passed you assumed it was nothing more than puppy love but that changed once high school rolled around.

• It was there Jack confessed his feelings and had asked you out on a date. You agreed and have been dating ever since but there’s a catch... you had to keep it a secret from Legosi.

• It wasn’t easy at first since you had to be mindful of where or how you could meet without him knowing.

• Most times you’ll visit room 701 but only when Jack was alone or vice versa. If Legosi did manage to stop by for something the both of you would hide in your usual spots until the coast was clear.

• PDA was at a minimum once you headed school grounds because you could never be too sure who’s watching.

• But that doesn’t mean Jack won’t try to hold your hand or ask for a kiss when no one’s around.
