Hey so I’ve mentioned this a lot of times on my main blog, but I wanted to put this out over here since it is Hallow’s Eve. I always give out little tchotchkes on Halloween along with candy. This year, I’ve completely switched over to 100% doohickeys and doodads— think mechanical pencils, shaped erasers, little notebooks, squishes, vampire teeth and spiders rings and all. It started years ago in college when I signed up for a dorm Halloween event where kids from an area that was too dangerous to really trick or treat through got bussed in to trick or treat at our dorm. I bought some candy and dollar store Halloween themed stuff with what i had. And you know what the kids went ape shit over?
Motherfucking. Mechanical. PENCILS!!
These kids could not get enough of them. They literally went “PENCILS??!” I had never seen kids get so hyped up for pencils lmao. They were the first things to go. Candy is fleeting; the little pencils you can bring to school to flex are eternal, until you inevitably lose one of the refill parts and then they aren’t but listen, in that one moment they are infinite. And its nice thinking that maybe some kids who don’t always have access to school supplies not only get them, but get them in fun shapes and designs.
Anyway. I recommend people to give out fun stuff like this not just because kids seem to genuinely enjoy them, but also because there’s this thing called the Teal Pumpkin Project here in America. You can put out a teal pumpkin to show that you are giving away non-candy items and sign your address up so parents of children with allergies know that there are houses their kids can safely and happily trick or treat at! It’s a win-win! Plus, if you accidentally bought too much, it’s not like candy— just pack it away, pencils and fidget spinners will be good next year, too! :)
#its such an easy and fun thing to do#and it helps make Halloween accessible for some kids who might otherwise not be able to participate#i always think about stuff like that#my step-grandparents had a ramp built at their house for them#but one great unintended side effect is that they always got a lot of children in wheelchairs to their house on Halloween#who were so so excited they could go up to the door and ring the bell for once :’)#so like i always try to think of ways to maybe include people who might have trouble otherwise when i can!#and this is such a little but easy to do change#i like to source my stuff from the dollar store targets dollar area and amazon#i bet party supply stores (think party favor bag stuff) would work great too#so. if you have time tomorrow maybe run on over to the dollar store during your lunch hour#grab some random little things. kids will go crazy. maybe you’ll brighten someone’s day

#ohohoho it is candle time its Candle Time#all of my sniffs! freed from their cardboard prison!#i just keep tapping my fingertips together while muttering 'candle time' and chuckling like some villain's deranged minion#MY THINGS MY STUFF THEY ARE ALL EMERGING#my closet has so much in it! and still there is Space! huzzah!#fuck i love this closet. already it has my clothes my hats my bags my shoes AND THERE IS STILL SO MUCH MORE SPACE#what can i store! blankets! towels! miscellaneous Things!#absolutely unprompted#this weekend we will be bolting my shelves to the wall so i can place my Books and Trinkets#ohhh my trinkets... too long have they been in the dark... unadmired and shunned....#and i'll be getting stuff to put up my whiteboard and my blackboards and my posters and my pictures and and and#THERE WILL BE NAUGHT A SPARE INCH OF SPACE UPON MY WALLS!!!#and when my new bed arrives i can put my glow stars on the ceiling!#*kronk voice* oh yeah. its all comin together#also i was putting my shoes on the fancy built-in closet shoe rack#and it entertained me Greatly to put my saddle shoes next to my little block heeled shoes#as i was putting them next to each other i felt very gender...#got my boots got my saddle shoes got my fancy heel shoes hell yeah hell yeah#anyway i cant wait to have things hanging Everywhere!#i havent lived in an Owned House since i was like. 5 so this is fun!#I CAN PAINT MY ROOM IF I SO DESIRE!!!#what color! blue! pink! green! black! a color per wall perhaps! i can get new curtains!#this fool is jingling less miserably than normal!#this progression will backtrack once i start job hunting here! its going to suck so fucking much! i do not want to be employed!#but perhaps it will score me friends... or at least workplace acquaintances...#it will also backtrack once my stepdad gets a dog! he wants a golden retriever! i Do Not Want That Ever!#why a golden retriever... theyre so slobbery and they shed and they feel weird and theyre Loud....#eugh. im not going to enjoy that. at all. why not a german shepherd? or a doberman? something with short fur at least?#sigh...

#i promise im not avoiding the question this is just funny#asks#honestly tho i do like math#english is one of my worst subjects because numbers make more sense to me#it funny that people look at me as an artist and are like “so you're majoring in art right?'”#nope lol im going into accounting#im decent at resource management and organization#i even got an award for most organized in my stage craft class#incase you dontnknow what stage craft is its basically the construction crew for the drama kids to do their thing#props costumes backgrounds lighting sound#all of that is stage craft stuff#do some math silly ✨#and basically i got that award by organizing the entirety of the stagecraft room#everything was stored in there and it was a mess#ended up spending a few weeks just organizing the nails screws and bolts#was supposed to only take a few days but no one was helping#also had to organize them by length too#but in the end it was a lit of fun and not i have a cool poster up on my wall with my chosen name#so not all a loss#yes i am rambling on purpose#and i shall keep doing it now#but honestly its so nice that people are being more considerate of my pronouns and chosen name#i actually feel like im being respected as a person and not just a student#its like they didn't trust me to know myself before which is annoying#but hey i guess it could be worse#im living with my aunt now so thays a huge improvement#my parents may have tried but uhhh#they didn't always do the right thing#ok i think thats enough rambling for people to have stopped read at this point#i got to get ready for school now

#went to an annual rock show today!!!!!#so many rocks!!!!!#thankfully i set myself a cash budget or my god we would have been there. a lot longer.#such beautiful stuff though!!!!! i've started collecting slabs#because i like to display them on my wall like a collage#i'm enamored with all these shapes and colors and patterns.....#some of the sellers told me what the rocks were but i have a really REALLy horrible memory so I'll have to look them up again later#but I got so many for me and also some (not pictured) for my partner as well.....#i've been keeping my eye out for some specific things since before we even started dating and finally got my hands on some x)))#and also some that just have like#patterns and colors I think he'll like!!!! it's so much fun......#ahhHHHHHHHH I LOVE MINERALS AND STONES SO MUCH#they also had a lot of petrified dinosaur poop slabs which were actually. so beautiful.#anyway#heheheheh#literally all of this if i was trying to buy from the rock stores here or online they'd have charged me probably $20-$50 each..... jfc#especially some of the special ones i got like#finding them below $80-$120 for a small stupid tumbled version is REAL hard#my stuff#over half the sellers were just selling tumbled stones though :( saddened by just how many lake superior agates i saw that were tumbled#they look SO cool naturally... why.. tumble them...

#ABSOLUTELY CONSUMERED IT UP#well. let me clarify a few things#i went to le thrift store and found these darling black velvet boots. are you kidding me#i had been THINKING about getting a velvet pair of demonias but theyre so expensive and then i find these beauties!!!!!#i also got a fleece blanket at the thrift that i turned into a jacket but ill share in a separate post#i used a hot topic gift card to get socks and a journal for school all from the clearance section !!!#then went to a pharmacy chain that is going out of business and bought nearly $250 worth of stuff for ONLY $100 WHAT#cleaned out that shit#i used it at the perfect excuse to try some skincare and makeup stuff that im too stickershocked to get normally#so now i have a bunch of makeup brushes and some palettes and the CLEANSERS for when i go to concerts and get all dolled up fr#i dont think anyone is reading these tags but by god am i going to use them up#it was such a fun day#i went with two friends and we had a great time terrorizing the local mall#also got called “very very pretty” by a GORGEOUS goth girl i absolutely swooned#my friend was making fun of me for getting complimented and threatened to tell my partner about it but they just agreed with the goth girl#even though it rained super fucking hard it was a great time with pals#so much fun omg#goth girl#goth#fashion#style#original post#alt fashion#goth fashion#goth outfit

Not me going through all my liked songs and seeing all the ones I added because of my roommate before 😭 augh I’m reminded of how I wish I could go back…
#first year of living in the dorms was a haven I took for granted tbh#I somehow got extremely lucky and got paired up with someone who shared a lot of the same interests as me#and who introduced me to the close friends I have now#I’m…not friends with her anymore but I’m at least grateful for her changing my college life I guess#I was so afraid and yet I managed to find a friend group that treated me as their own#I didn’t feel so lonely anymore…we went on grocery store trips and other fun things together#truly a type of peace I want to have again#that was also around the same time I met some of my closest online friends too#I cherish them all no matter what#my posts

yk i genuinely don't think ive ever been able to actually express my gender dysphoria out loud to another person cos with my family they'll get uncomfortable or think im somehow bragging bc i have the misfortune of a hyperfeminine body, with therapists im always trying not to say smth that makes me sound too self hating to get letters written, and with other trans people i don't want to upset them. idk writing it down just feels like im cataloguing everything that's wrong with me but I don't think ill ever have anyone i can talk to about it either
#i guess i got lucky in some ways with PCOS and my face is androgynous#but just even besides my weight my body type itself is just. not doing me any favors when it comes to passing#maybe if i was skinny i could deal with it or fat with an otherwise masculine body but both just feels very insurmountable#like ive just never seen a cis man that looks anything like me even guys that r the same weight#hell even trans men never look like me#idk maybe t will help with it longterm and at the end of the day it is what it is. like i don't have to like my body to be kind to myself#been considering lipo with top surgery too bc i just#i don't even have the typical pcos body type that is a little more masculine#like ugh. realistically ik i always cover myself head to toe anyways and that nobody is rlly looking that hard#in most photos if im dressed well i just look like a guy with wide hips. most strangers who've seen photos of me#assumed i was cis esp with clothes that diminish the hips#but i wish i could look at myself naked and not be utterly disgusted and alienated at almost all my features is all#ik itll get better with top surgery and i do have things i like like my shoulders and calves#but man just. i know i am not the first to express this but being a 5'3 fat man with an hourglass figure is not fun!#they literally do not make mens pants in my size 😭 at least not ones i can go try on in a store#i would just really like to kill the transphobe in my head mostly. or at least show his ugly ass to somebody else.

had my 25 minutes of quirkiness induced dopamine I am nauseous and afraid now
#i got a little gelato cup thingy from the convenience store on campus and was eating it outside which attracted . some unwanted attention#weirdly the stares of fascination were funny and made me feel special briefly before i realised i looked like an attention seeker#although honestly. i just wanted some fucking gelato despite it being -3°C that's all it was so im not defacto an attention seeker#its people that are attention givers. MIND YA DAMN BUSINESS!#it was kinda funny tho which made me feel special idk 😭 that was before i started getting all self conscious and pessimistic#then I made a spontaneous decision to go downtown and now i regret that decision bc im sitting on display furniture in some stupid#department store#the thing is. my dad was going to be late to pick me up from the bus stop either way so its not all in vain#but i think I should've just stayed at the university in a comfortable chair for an hour instead of coming all the way here. 😶#i thought i would have fun. i was deeply wrong#z.post

i'm sure no ones shocked to find out i am yet again downloading more sims 3 cc
#yk when you spend hours downloading cc (for any sims game) and then when you actually open the game its like you have 3 things to pick from#and you're like HOWWW???#thats how i was when i opened my sims 3 game and had little to no makeup / contacts / freckles/beauty marks#so i decided to download some more and yet again i've spent an hour just downloading more hairs and clothes#im downloading some lipsticks rn tho#and i downloaded a few contacts and freckles/beauty marks already#i already made a sim the other day but i forgot how difficult uni is in ts3#so i was kinda thinking about making a sim to play the store world legacy with#i think it'd be fun#i've never played with a single store world b4 because when i was big into ts3 i was like 8-11#and i didn't know you could download the worlds for free#but now i got them all so!#time to experience them all for the first time :)#and hopefully make a cute new sim too#maybe i'll give them a cat/dog#i haven't made a pet recently either#i love ts3 sm if it keeps running smooth and i manage to get a decent sims style i might never go back to ts4#i say that now but i probably will#i just think ts3 is 10x more fun once you build up a decent sized cc folder#anyway back to dling cc weeeeeeee

man. thinking about how my insurance is out of network i feel so fucked i have so much money owed in therapy bills. literally over 1k bc of my weird insurance happenings and also bc idk if insurance was even doing its thing before i dont know and just other various things im sure i've forgotten. man.
#and i have no insurance card picture to upload from the medicaid i had in jan-mar none at all it's a damn scrap of PAPER. sigh.#it's less an ohhh nooo me not in therapy i dont feel the way i did last year when it was really I Need To Be Here but like. idk. idk#it's more just frustrating. all of it. all of it is so frustrating the situation and myself too are frustrating me#sometimes i just wish this shit was easier. i need to remember to send info to my therapist bc i forgot to text him back#and then i got embarrassed about it instead of just doing it and i still feel embarrassed and i have to email a place back and#i have to write a cover letter and submit a job app to who even knows if the position is available anymore and i just have so many things#and im failing at all of them poorly bc im actually an honest to god failure. whatever man.#at least i maybe hopefully get to go to the comic store tomorrow. maybe that will be fun#im gonna try and pick up some issues for friends. bc that is one of my summer tasks for myself bc i like sending comics to friends.#and i should get started on that.#vent.txt#< this got whinier and more self pitying miserable than i intended ahem. apologies.

#alcohol mention#Apparently you can make mead out of honey and I love honey so of course I have to try it#I want to make more food from scratch so I can reduce my plastic consumption#because my ten-year goal is to convert to a completely anticapitalist zero-waste lifestyle#Just for me… I don’t put pressure on anyone to do the same unless they’re well-off and being ridiculous about their consumption#Except for maybe encouraging people to switch to reusable water bottles if they’re in an area where the tap water is potable#(like where I live)#or flaunting my canvas shopping bag that I got for 5 dollars at a hardware store whenever possible#Okay I guess I do push people a little bit#But it’s all reasonable things directed at people I know are physically mentally and financially able to do those things#or I’ll just casually mention microplastics and pollution in conversation as a “fun fact”#But I’m not ridiculous about it with anyone but myself#I hold myself to some weird standards that I don’t hold others to and I’m fine with it#Obviously it’s the corporations’ faults that everything is the way it is and no single person can make a huge difference#But if everyone does one thing to help the planet; then it might buy us some time to change the system#There is also the issue of supply and demand; if more people reduce plastic intake then less plastic will be produced#But again: it’s very hard to be ethical in this society. EVERYTHING enjoyable is packaged in plastic and it sucks#(ok not literally everything but consider: most candy is wrapped in plastic and clothes have plastic tags and chips are in plastic#sushi is in plastic containers and meat is in shrink wrap or styrofoam and most modern chewing gum is a byproduct of vinyl#toys are packaged in plastic etc. etc.)
