Hrmm I wonder if there actually is any kind of pattern in there. Uhhh gonna stick with what Clockways did and go down the last ten that were posted or updated.

The Prince and the Racer: “Next!” Kenichi stood in the center of the sparring ring as the last trainee crawled away, holding their gut and struggling to catch their breath.

Brother's Blood: The roar of the Mach 5 surrounded Gou as he sped around the darkened track.

Made to Race: Maybe it’s a good thing I have a box in my car.

The Long Way Home: Reports were deadly; nearly as deadly as a bullet through the temple or a knife across the throat.

Touching Base: Climbing into his car, Damien let out a slow breath and rubbed his eyes.

Over Little Things: Shutting off the engine, Kenichi sat in the driveway staring at the house.

Paint Splatter: Gou squinted in the morning sun as he and Sparky walked down the row of garages.

A Fitting Name: Pushing forward was stupid, he knew this.

All in a Name: “Do you want me to go in with you?” Lindsey’s voice snapped Speed back to the present.

Conclusions:

Uhhh I'm not sure actually, they're all on the passive side I suppose. Granted, aside from the couple of fics written by just me (Touching Base and Body, Soul, and Blood), it's hard to remember which line I wrote and which would've been from Kimiwriter. Prince and Racer and Long Way Home's opening lines were definitely from her though, I know that much at least.

So I asked her to see if she spotted any kind of patterns. She pointed out they're all trying to set up the scenario.

It is kinda funny four of them started in a car though.
