Fechando a semana com um belo Bordeaux com seus 11 aninhos… 🤩 Este é o “ @Chateau_Laroque 2011”, um Grand Cru Classé de Saint Emilion (margem direita de Bordeaux 🇫🇷) elaborado majoritariamente com a uva Merlot, complementada por Cabernet Franc e Cabernet Sauvignon. O vinho passa 18 meses maturando em barricas. 🍷 Na taça, cor granada de média intensidade. Após 1h no decanter, aromas de pouca intensidade mostrando frutas vermelhas maduras, chocolate, tabaco, couro e tostado. Na boca tem corpo médio, acidez moderada e taninos médios e macios. Média persistência. 📝 Belo vinho: equilibrado, elegante e com boa complexidade. 2008 Château Larcis Ducasse is really good. At age 11, this is my first check-in with this #wine and it is still shockingly young. All blackberry and black currant with some tobacco and coffee on the finish. Quite tannic, so it needs a lot of air before it really opens up. 2000 Château Pontet-Canet has a distinctly grilled toast, vanilla and espresso note on the nose. That exact nose carries through to the palate. Thankfully, the palate delivers some really pretty black currant and black cherry with amazing freshness. Overall, this is still a nice wine, but despite the ample fruit and acidity, the oak was too heavy and has not resolved. And I don't think it ever will.
