More Arizona Monsoon Skies... after 45 minutes of a welcome, cooling rain just a bit earlier in the evening, we were blessed with this sunset behind Granite Mountain. The water is pretty much gone from this part of Willow Lake - so no reflections. I'm hoping for a very wet winter followed by early monsoons next year ;)

I saw a reel yesterday that was like "top 10 hikes in Canada" and they were, as predicted, 100% mountain hikes in Banff and Jasper National Parks (and not even hidden gems! The ones on tourist brochures!). Someone made a comment like "you need to see more of Canada" and the 🌟influencer🌟 replied that the rest of Canada wasn't worth visiting when there are views like that in Banff.

Anyway here's a phone photo from a hike I drove four hours round trip to do in a part of Canada that "isn't worth visiting" 😂

Fiery Sunrise Sierra Blanca

A crazy-dramatic, mid-winter sunrise in Colorado: The 14,000 ft+ high peaks of the Sierra Blanca are catching the first light of the rising sun, creating the illusion that the mountains are on fire. And the fact that the snow is blowing of the craggy granite peaks further enhances the impression.

Arizona Monsoon Sunset... I put some more 'digital dodging & burning' time to bring out more detail in the foreground and balance the light in the sky. The shot was hand held and I also had to sharpen and de-noise it to compensate for the less than ideal settings I used. I should just make it easy on myself and always use a tripod ;)
