Drarry Fic: Double Edged Sword turns 15!

@graylingtheodor kindly reminded me in a message that my first story ever (as in never written fiction before) was celebrating its 15th year of being posted.

I don't recommend this story very often...well because it was my first and it can be a bit clunky craftwise (especially the beginning) and in content. Oh my H/G explicit content spread throughout the first dozen chapters (you can easily skim these parts...I do LOL). Did I mention that the story is 550K and 101 chapters? What was I thinking? Apparently a lot. To this day, this is my baby. The story I'm most proud of producing. I wrote it longhand in 21 notebooks for more than a year and then it took another year or so to post. It was first posted on Forever Fandom and Silver Snitch. On FF it was the most commented on Fic and in the top three of favourite fics for both sites. It was later brought over and edited by CDumbledore and others to the Hex Files. It came to AO3 when Hex Files shut down and transferred their fics to AO3.

The story was written right after HBP and is canon compliant up to that point. The story can't be classified by genre or trope as it contains so many, but it is a Drarry love story that sees them through soulbonding, horcrux hunting, Draco at Durmstrang, bonded marriage, a major duel with Voldemort followed by a tragedy, Draco becoming a Wizarding rock star, Harry becoming... oh wait, I'm not telling that part, but they both are BAMF in their own ways. And then there is family and lives fulfilled. The end of their lives is at 150 (epilogue and off screen).

So, if you're ever looking for a very very long Drarry that will make you smile, laugh, cry, want to throw things at the author, and then rejoice, remember my first.

🐈: yes! I have the goodest border collie - his name is Rio and he’s the love of my life - and I’d love to get more doggos as soon as I can afford a bigger place :D

☔️: I love cold sunny days (between 5 and 15 C is my sweet spot) and my favourite season is fall. Love the colors, the Halloween vibes, the pumpkin spice menu, the autumn wardrobe! 🍂

🍹: primarily beer but I do enjoy wine. Not really a cocktail person especially if they’re too sweet or too elaborated, but I appreciate caipirinhas and margharitas every now and then. What about you?
