apologies for the terrible audio, screen recording did NOT want to work, but i finally found brady's interview where it was mentioned that matthew bought a summer home in colorado and it's got some other really good gems in it. the best being his commentary on the greig empty net slapshot and that wild fla v ott game in which he reveals that sanderson was the one who initiated the fight with matthew and that after the game matthew told brady to tell sanderson that he loved it

Also, Morgan crosschecked him in the SHOULDER first. His jersey moves as Morgan's stick rides up and eventually gets him in the head. But DOPS always lets Trouba off the hook because the "principal point of contact isn't the head" so by their own standard, Morgan's "principal point of contact" was SHOULDER, not head.
This isn't even top 3 most egregious hit this year (Trouba baseball swing, Mangiapane crosschecking a prone McCann in the neck, Ross Colton boarding JHughes and then following it up by crosschecking Meyer in the face, and Perron crosschecking Zub in the neck are all far worse, and they got 0 games, 1 game, 0 games, and 6 games respectively) but people want to give him the biggest suspension the league has seen in years?? Suspension sure but 3 or 4 games is reasonable. 6 is high but I can deal due to the Perron suspension. Anything over that is absolute madness.
Yeah, the aiming for below the shoulder part is important. It's why I'm set that it should be 2 games - head/neck wasn't principle point of contact, and Greig doesn't appear injured (glad to see he's ok). To me, it's similar to the play that got Matthews suspension a couple years, so that's why I'd make the suspensions the same length
And you're right, it's wild how this may be the longest suspension of the season for on-ice stuff, considering what we've seen this season. Can't wait for Rielly to get a long suspension, have the media tell us DoPS is setting a precedent, then for a similar play a month from now be just a fine 🙃

3, 4, 9, 25!
ahh kelsey, thank you !
3. I feel like it's not even a true rivalry team wise but the tkachuk bowl always intrigues me. like everybody on the ice getting a misconduct is just gold. so yeah, i think i do have to say the panthers / senators rivalry even if the only reason is those idiot boys
4. my least favourite team is always vegas, probably for the same reasons everyone else has but more specifically because i will never forget that they hurt matthew so badly (do i wish i was a little more normal about it? maybe! but i'm not)
9. whatever matthew tkachuk and sam bennett have going on has to be a bromance i love. though they go beyond the realm of just bromance with how deeply they talk about one another, they intrigue me a lot. and also probably anything sid has going on with anyone, what he and MAF have is very special to me
25. ooh favourite rookie is a good one and the first person to come to my mind isn't even a rookie anymore, he's just a baby. i do think luke hughes has done very well for himself this season which i always like to see! and i am a hater at my core and i think ridly greig is a funny guy purely for his slapshot into the empty net which caused so much drama which still makes me laugh a lot
