It's actually heartbreaking to see my baby settle for so little. He takes it as a victory that he seemed to please Donovan, that he managed to please his own father. And that's not a child's job, he should feel confident enough to talk about spies and missions, or throwing tantrums or not always being the best student in school (yes, like some gremling we know), and not be afraid that his father will reject him.

Something I loved about this chapter is that it conveyed so much tension, I completely understood how uncomfortable everyone felt, like they were walking on eggshells so as not to make any mistakes that might anger Donovan. You can understand why Damian feels so lonely at home, he can't really bond with his brother, he can't rely on his mother, so it makes sense why he prefers to stay at school 24/7

Farawell, my Turnabout:

UHHHHH this case, hold on tight because this is my favorite and I have to make it special. With changes from the get go, Apollo is kidnapped alongside Maya, Kay offers to look for them while Phoenix, Gumshoe and the girls focus on the case, The magatama and perception are deceived, but Athena captures Engard's malice and satisfaction, Phoenix punches Edgeworth for being a shitty dramatist and making everyone think he was dead, Franzyska also gives him a whiplash, he deserves it(?), Phoenix complain to both Gumshoe and Kay for knowing that Edgeworth was alive and not telling him to later have a panic attack from the call with De Killer, This poor man will be beaten from all sides, I guarantee you xd, Apollo is a little gremling who refuses to sit still even if his life depends on it, Engard is a son of a bitch, De Killer just wants to finish his job, the gallery is confused, Adrian realizes what is really going on behind Engard's defense, Apollo is again a small gremling and takes away De Killer's radio while he is on the stand to then being dragged out, we got one more break, Mia's a good mother, everyone celebrates Franziska's Big Moment™, Phoenix together with Athena and Trucy decide the verdict of "NOT guilty" and watch happily as Engard ruins his face, the reunion scene is more mellow, Apollo calls Phoenix dad for the first time and everyone is happy

So, i saw a post with NY headcanons and it reminded me that while i included my own disabled headcanons in my fics, i forgot to make my own headcanons post (?) and i've got more than i though lol

So here we go!

NY: Dude got a bad eye, someday it's normal, other days it get blurred. He also has a scar over it, and his shoulders can get funky when its humid outside.

NJ: some of y'all already knows it, but Jersey got Tourette's. Mostly shoulder jerking, neck twitching, blinking hard and grimacing. When it gets bad his back jerks, and his vocals tics get worse (mostly whistles and pop, tho if hes anxious/stressed he does repeat some words)

Delaware: he got arthritis in his hands, and can hardly move them.

Mass: He was injured during the revolution, and walking became harder for him (limping and his legs became stiffer), then another injury during the civil war made him unable to walk for some days, therefore he use a wheelchair most of the time. He is still able to walk, but it is either too painful, or he doesn't have the energy needed to be able to stand all day.

Connie: he got shaky hands, when he's tired, nervous or angry, he cant hold anything with those. Its his nerves, and it doesnt hurt but its annoying.

Vermont: he got diabetes! Type 1; and it's so fucking expensive that it's Québec his "dealer" (it cost around 98$US when here its around 12$CAN sooo). He also got a sweet tooth, and forget to watch his sugar level (Hampshire there's for it; buddy's wayy to protective to let anything happen to Vermont)

PA: he's dyslexic, and it's mostly Mass who helps him with paperwork when he's not badgering Connie.

Florida: That gremling got Adhd, big dyslexia and his first language is spanish (which doesnt help with the reading). He also got so many scars from disturbing wildlife (anyone has seen that "yoink" dude in the everglades? Yeah thats flo). He got chronic pain in his left knee, and his right wrist always cracks when he moves it.

Louie: french lover is a people pleaser, but the chillest person you'll ever meet. He never panics, and is sometime too calm; but hurt any of the southern state (or Cal) and you're done. He's the voodoo capital, so dont mess with him

Georgia: hes an insomniac, but is fucking sleepy during the day (the math aint mathing ya know). He can sleep anywhere except during the night. He's bud with york and nevada, you can find those three driking in silence during a poker game.

Virginia: (uses they/them) they have a limp on the left leg, who always in pain (low but chronic with some real bad days). They're also a sleepwalker (think Celinaspookyboo style) and Georgia (or one of the insomniac state) each switch to watch them at night.

Montana: deer in headlights when spoken to. Will not talk to anyone when he doesnt have something to say or isnt upset (that sketch with the clown thing? Yeah he talked to them cause he was angry). Dont talk to him, dont even aknowledge him and he'll be more than happy to not exist in your mind. (Hes jealous of alaskas ability to not being seen)

Cal: dudes his always in pain. The fire, the drought, to goldrushes, hes always hurting. He got big scars from the fires, and his skin is the dryest thing ever despite all the moisturizer he uses. When he's burning up his eyes gets cloudy grey; they itch and cry all the time, and he cant see shit. He also need an oxygen mask when its too bad, and his eyes are naturaly gold.

Washington: hes a bitch. Dude got poor circulation too, so his hands and feet are always cold. When it's raining for too long his hair is oily, and when it's a drought it's the driest (he uses dryshampoo and got a routine to fight it).

Oregon : hes gay. Thats a known thing, and he's the bridge between Cal and Wash. Hes nicer to cal than wash, but he's not kind. The west coast are nice in interraction, but they ain't your friends.

Nevada: ah, vada. He got scaring from the nuclear testing, can see in the dark like nobody, and is the only state who can chose to change their physical appearance. Has coloured hair (pink or purple mostly) and the greenest eyes you'll ever see (or purple, didnt made my mind yet). Hes careful with his diet and always exercice despite the painful joins.

Texas: that idiot got sleep apnea but refuses to get checked out for it (and get a CPAP). He also has asthma (geez that word is hard to write) and colorblindness (can't see red). He only wears his shirt cause he knows what the colours are and refused to be pranked about that.

Gläëning /glɛɪ̯.nɪŋ/ [glɛɪ̯nɪŋ]

In Kolic culture, the gläëningi are mischievous spirits of nature that either do mischief on their own, or cause people to do mischief. They're often blamed for unfortunate (but never tragic) events, typically things like a delicacy going missing or a piece of clothing disappearing from a clothesline, or a setup for an accident like an unexpectedly slippery path. Their acts aren't always at the expense of others, but are instead characterised as acts to "spice it up" regardless of the impact on others. Most often though, they do end up being at the expense of others.

As I mentioned at the beginning, the gläëningi are also at blame when a person does something gläëningworthy, which is seen as the spirit possessing that person. This possession is seen as natural and not something to be driven out by force. According to Kolic beliefs, everyone gets possessed by something every now and then. Possession by spirits is also not viewed as inherently negative, it can in fact be a positive experience, but that largely depends on the type of spirit. With gläëningi, it usually isn't positive, but in milder cases, it is considered more or less neutral. It's also important to note that this possession by spirits is most often not viewed as entirely literal, but rahter more or less metaphorical. This is not to say that the Kolic don't actually believe in spirits - their spirituality is interwoven with viewing the world through metaphor.

This gläëning possession is often associated with naughty and guilty-pleasure behaviour, in which case it's often talked about in the diminutive - "glaenjun" /glaɪ̯n.jən/ [glaɪ̯njən ~ glaɪ̯ɲən] - "little gremlin."

Masquerade Curse of Strahd One shot

Masquerade ball one shot happened: The premise was that the party escourts Ireena and Ismark to the a ball filled with Barovia's nobles and free some Anti Strahd rebels from the dungeon. Most of the npcs had masks that made them unrecognizable.

We have gnome cleric, wizard aasimar, human warlock and one of my players playing Anastrasya (We decided to experiment). Our gnome cleric grew very close and had a cute little romance with Stella Watcher after Lady Watcher approved of her (She managed to impress the discerning old woman). They were holding hands the whole ball and Stella comforted her when the vampires especially Volenta were creeping her out.

Volenta was a chaos gremlin, climbing walls, talking about bones, smelling people, trying to make people promise their bones to her and falling from the ceiling only to get up and gremling crawl everywhere much to Ana's dismay.

Our wizard was the smart stealthy one, figuring out who Van Richten was and getting the plan in motion for the big prisoner heist. He got to interact with the creepy Abbott again.

Vargas was there and I only had to do his voice for the players to recognize him and avoid him like the plague.XD

Our human warlock was a noble lady who quickly made friends with Ireena and danced with her throughout the night. Our warlock has a brother similiar to Strahd so the two bonded and had some definite chemistry. It probably helped that the player playing Ana made sure she got between them and forced Ireena to dance with Strahd. Lovely tension especially given the death glares the warlock was getting from Strahd all night. Ismark almost burst between Strahd and Ireena but Lady Watcher reading the situation smoothly pulled him into a dance and made sure they danced near Strahd (she wanted the tea).

I am very happy I took a chance and allowed one of my players to play Anastrasya. He player her perfectly and was so much fun to watch. Constantly trying to be the center of attention, asking people uncomfortable questions, being very extra and being catty friends with Escher. She was very flirty with Ismark and teased him constantly and annoyed Rahadin by complimenting his deathly choir (she raved about how much she loved the screams of the dammed).

Rahadin was guarding the ball so our gnome cleric decided to ask him about where not to go in the castle (sort of trying to get the potential location of the dungeon without asking). They rolled well and managed to convince him to tell them where not to go. I rolled secretly and he was able to tell what their general intentions were so I get to have fun with that. After that for some reason they were very insistent he go relax and sleep saying he looks tired. He was so confused by their concern. I have no idea why my players keep being concerned about this man but I think it may have to do with him being forced to endure the shennigans of the brides and Strahd. They were very outraged that Strahd occasionally asks Rahadin to carry him.XD We ended on that note and will finish next week.

As perhaps the oddest people in America, the Addams need no introduction. But this time, they are about to welcome a new member into the family; turns out Morticia just recently gave birth to little Pubert!

Yes, all is good and well with a new baby in the family, unless you ask Fester. Seeing all others tie the knot has got him forlorn, so he's now looking for love. And love he finds in the new nanny, Debbie Jellinsky. But something is amiss, as this woman is pushing Fester away from them just as the two get married. And as Pugsley and Wednesday get sent to summer camp, the family faces their biggest crisis yet in a black widow trying to separate them all. Will Fester return to their side before it's too late?

A compelling argument for how sometimes a sequel is actually better than the original, this comedy goldmine by Barry Sonnenfeld takes what worked in the first 90's reimagining of the Addams and cranks it up to eleven. And yet, more than just a rethread the film is also a mirror of it's own prequel (which I must say also comes with a hearty reccomendation by proxy on this end); one being about how strangers end up joining the family by learning to connect with the Addam's eccentric but enotionally fulfilling way of life, the other being about a different stranger with violent motivations failing to do the same. Which brings us to Debbie: with such a violently petty energy and delusions of grandeur, she's a delight to watch even when she's trying so hard to murder Fester.

Outside of a gag about Michael Jackson aging like milk (for reasons they couldn't have forseen), it's incredible how fantastically this film has aged. The black comedy, the haminess, the slapstick absurdity, the wholesome family dynamics undercut by a screwed up sense of normalcy, and the lighting in a bottle casting that redefined what the public sees these characters as. They REALLY don't do them like they used to.

Ok, I just HAVE to gush a little over the casting, because it really, REALLY made these movies shine.

The obvious one is the late Raul Julia as Gomez. With a classical background and being adept at musical theatre, he really gives his all every moment, which makes some of the funniest scenes come out of either the earnestness on which he plays a romantic situation, or the incongruity of how most people would react to what he's experiencing.

Anjelica Houston as Morticia works marvelously as the complement to Julia's Gomez too, being equally passionate but in a much more composed way, which grants her an elegance and snark that simply cannot be beaten.

Christopher Lloyd as Fester was sheer genius as well. You're telling me there was a better option for someone with uncle Fester's well known level of quirky manic energy than Mr. Emmet Brown and Judge Doom? Get outta here.

Jimmy Workman as Pugsley looks like the weakest of the bunch at a glance, as he almost feels like the straight man by contrast of how vivid the other performances are. But then you really think about it, and it's PRECISELY that nonchalance which makes him work. He can do incredibly troubling unchildlike things without batting an eye.

And of course, Christina Ricci as Wednesday is a no brainer as to why this role shot her to stardom. While a diversion from how Wednesday was portrayed in other versions, it stands out as one of THE big examples of how to do a goth creepy girl. She is not an uncaring person, but boi, is she more prone to violence than Pugsley AND a scheming gremling with a creepy heartthrobing smile. Yes, I was crushing hard on Christina Ricci's Wednesday as a kid, shut up

Last but not least, since we're talking about Family Values in particular, Joan Cussack as Debbie is just a joy to watch, with such a delightful level of entitlement and the perfect opposite rosy masquarade to make her less annoying or disturbing, and more someone with the proper level of crazy to absolutely fit with the Addams were she not all about herself.

Since I talked about the voltron au my tiktok is filled with Klance edits so I can't stop thinking about it and I'm here to share some thoughts I had

Sky would be the yellow paladin, Hunk and Sky have this vibe that tells he is always there for you but not in the "you did nothing wrong" way, he would absolutely tell you if you did something bad but will be there to help you solve the mess you made

Warrios is the blue paladin, besides that he is the same as Lance, he has his blue scarf that is more iconic than the green clothing

Maybe Four as the green paladin because he is the small but smart kid like Pidge but I think that Wind could also be here because they are the youngest in the group and have a lost sibling

Time is the black paladin, he is the leader, the older and the father figure in the group, he seems to be serious and mature but he is actually a gremling

Twilight and Legend could be the red paladins, they are Time's successors and Twilight have a father and son relationship with him but Legend have the emo vibe that Keith has

Wild would be Coran and I'm not sure what to do with Hyrule, he doesn't fit any character in the show 😭

My tiktok is also full of Klance now 😭

Hmmm… Hyrule could be a funky space friend maybe? Just some guy along for the ride? He also fits the vibes of the yellow paladin for me
