oh god this Is hard. lucy dacus' cover of "dancing in the dark" WAS my #1 song for the year, so i think that or hmm. "we're in it" by typhoon or "karma" by ajr. idk if any of these exactly sum up the year itself but the vibes are there !!!!

home video by lucy dacus 200%. i have not shut up about lucy dacus this entire year. also bittersweet by jamie paige !!!! it is so good and i have friends on it and it gives me the good electropop brainworms. also also this is how we get better by the narcissist cookbook!!!! i'm obsessed with it still its such a good and healing album!!!! also also also in these silent days by my mom brandi carlile <3 best shit ever as always. and finally typhoon's live at the crystal ballroom album, which actually came out in 2015 but i got real into typhoon this year so it's this years album now

38. what was the best moment of the year for you?

oh boy oh boy. hm. the most prominent ones are a) starting T and b) starting college properly, but i think also i had a lot of really good little moments throughout the year, especially before i started school and i was still by myself? i went on a lot of fun little solo trips to DC a lot and got cool food and had a good time. also @gromvillage visiting me over the summer <33

genuinely? getting all As this past semester. i have not done well in school or felt good about school since middle school, probably, so it was very nice this semester to feel okay with the workload and enjoy learning and not feel miserably bad all the time. :')

What Show?: Lmao I don’t really watch tv anymore, but if I had to pick a show I’d have to say Adventure Time. There isn’t really any real reason why I’d pick this show, other than the fact that it was the first series that I just really got invested in, and so now it’s just kinda special to me.

3 Ways to this Fool’s Heart, Baybe: Buckle up kids, this one’s gonna be long

Alright, 1: Contact. Listen, I’m a very physical person. I understand body language better than I understand verbal cues, which is part of the reason why I SUCK at casual verbal communications. Small talk does not work with me at all, it is awkward and will make me sad. So hanging out and doing cliche stuff like laser tag and paintball are the best ways to win me over. Also, just like, physical contact in general? That’s the good stuff right there. I’m very understanding of like, personal boundaries and stuff but if someone I knew and talked to were to just like, initiate a cuddle session? Oh hell yeah kids now we’re talking. Listen I’m perfectly content if someone were to just put their whole body weight on me. The more physical contact I have, the happier I will be.

2 kiddos: Music. Simply put, if I can sing around you, I am extremely comfortable around you. And I don’t mean like, humming along to the music in a store or something. I mean like, full on performances. The world is my stage and by god I’m going to perform. And like, singing with someone? Best thing ever. I’d love to just, be on a long car ride and just put a playlist on shuffle and sing whatever’s on the radio with someone. That’s a goal of mine, I have made my mind up, that is something I am going to achieve.

Last but not least, 3: Like, full day events. Listen this one is mostly just speculation, but just hanging out for a day would be a m a z i n g. I’d love going to the mall and trying on all sorts of outfits, I’d love going on a picnic in the park and then watching the clouds and talking, I’d love to go swimming in a lake or a pool, or the ocean. I’d love to go stargazing with someone someday. I’d love to just play in the rain. Basically, I just want to be with someone. Just, exist on the same plane with someone for a while, where we can just goof off and relax and just have fun for a while, before the world catches up with us. It’s cheesy and cliche, and I don’t care. I live for cheesy and cliche, because why not. 

Other’s Perception?: Oh god no I have to think about the weight of my actions on others hnnnnnnnn uh yeah so I don’t like thinking about this too much? But I think that I can be firmly classified as a dumbass with good intentions. Basically, a puppy. I’m not the smartest, but I got a good heart. And I think that’s a pretty alright thing to be.

Mercury: oh pastels are my jam, honestly. space stuff and soft grunge are like, two lesser ones but i am desperately trying to own more pastel stuff

Uranus: my biggest accomplishment is probably learning how to animate on my own. even if it’s just small stuff right now, knowing that i could actually finish my own animation is pretty damn satisfying

Orion: my favorite type of weather is fall weather. i love it when it’s cloudy out in the fall cause it’s just a tad more chilly than usual, which makes it the perfect sweater weather. also, fall weather means that bugs yeet themselves away from my existence, which works great for picnics and hikes and things like that.

The aquarium is important so we could pick out plushies for each other, and then maybe at the end we could ride the ferris wheel, i dunno.Perfect general date: Antique store! I love going to antique stores and looking around at all sorts of funky things that you can’t find in a run-of-the-mill department store. I really love how unique antique stores are, and I think it’d be really cute to go on a date there.
