SO YOU WANT TO GET HIRED IS NOW LIVE ON ITCHIO! :D
This thirty-page guide is specifically written to help you navigate the world of working-class jobs. In it, I break down what to put in your resume (even if you have no experience at all!), how to dress for the interview, how to play the very confusing and nonsensical world of the working-class interview, and what happens after you drag yourself out of the crucible of the interview on your hands and knees.
It's helpful! It's for those of us who want to know how to get hired for something as menial as a food runner! It's not that long, so you don't need to carve out several hours to in-depth research! It's got jokes — and Brian David Gilbert references!
Please reblog to help reach as many people as possible, because sometimes we all need a little help adulting, and I'm here to share what I know with you, no judgment.
(If you want to make sure I am not forced to be victim to website fees, you can always just send me $3 on Ca$h@pp/V3nm0 (deadtower) or P@yp@l (paypal.me/deadtower) and email me at [email protected] with your username/when you sent the money, and I can send you the PDF that way! Also, if you can't afford it, no worries! Just shoot me an email and I'll send it to you discounted to as low as $1, or for free, depending on your financial situation. I want everyone to have access to the resources they deserve. <3)

its kinda funny reading travel reviews where people are scandalized by the concept of like. the locals trying to make money. like dont get me wrong there are scams out there but sometimes i'll see a review where theyre like "the tour guide took us to a market... and the people there wanted us to BUY things 😡" yeah man. youre in a market. the tour guide probably took you there because he knows people at the market. this is how tourism economies work.

now that you mention it, yeah kabru is kind of an ibex
Tumblr media
trying to pin it down but I don't feel confident on my grasp of kabru's characterization (depsite him being my favourite guy. you know how it is) but like. Kabru is a nicer ibex. Ibex is kabru but he's no longer asking. Ibex is a kabru but he's not afraid to let outright enemies stay on the board if he knows he'll win the overall battle. I think Kabru would make a better candidate of rightousness. I need a two way au and we're gonna send the dunmeshi cast to divine cycle space and we're throwing the kingdom crew in a last ditch dungeon crawl

Okay yes please on the Minthara’s servant in the underdark AU! Ramble your thoughts about it too me.
Okay SO SO!
Scenario A : we are also a drow
Not a member of her house but one who was given from another house. We are here to serve her and make sure all her needs are met, or maybe we were assigned as a house mage or a servant for another family memeber.
What matters is, she finds herself getting attached to us. And she knows how dangerous that is in drow culture, how much this weakness could be used against her.
She tries to forget us, to ignore us, or to even have us transferred to another house. She is in deep denial over her feelings
I'm imagining this as a slow burn princess/servant fanfic where Minthara goes through the 5 stages of grief. It's starts with her wanting to get rid of us or ignore us but ends with her defending us from someone. She fully embraces her feelings and doesn't want anything bad to happenen to us.
Scenario B : we are from the surface
Which probably means we got taken as a hostage or a slave, if we ever gain our freedom back it means we will have to earn it by blood.
Maybe she is the one who captures us. If you're an elf then you'll get the enemies to friends to lovers trope but expect a lot and I mean a lot of hatred from her at the start. It will be painful and filled with heartbreak and betrayal.
If you're any other race, she will be more respectful and tolerant of you. You're still below her but your mistakes will be forgiven more because you have the excuse of being ignorant and she'd be lying if she said she didn't find it endearing. You'll be more like a pet to her than a slave, she will be more protective and possessive of you. You'll both teach each other something as you try to overcome the huge cultural differences
Scenario C : we're a free person.
Could be a drow, could be a surface race. Doesn't really matter because you have fully earned your freedom and all of Menzoberranzan knows that. You still have to treat her with respect as a noble drow princess but nothing more.
Maybe you're a merchant or maybe you fun a coffee shop in the undercity. Whatever it is, you do this one thing that you find fulfilling and move on with your life.
The two of you meet by accident, or she finds your shop one day. Weirdly she feels relaxed there and starts frequenting it more and more. At least it's good for business to have a drow princess in your humble store.
Even if half the people who come there to see her are trying to murder her, you do put them in line because you'll have no drinks getting posioned while you're on the clock. Minthara notices and is moved. A romance slowly flourishes.

Small question regarding Peach, how would Peach react to a more timid visitor being more friendly with the Pokémon then the employees or other visitors?
Ex: They're quiet and shy around people, but with the various Pokémon, when they think nobody's watching, they actually show their true self and chatter about various things they enjoy, basically doing a complete 180 and being this friendly, happy person instead of the nervous, quiet person they are around people.
Peach keeps to herself unless theres danger or a clear problem. She would be very chill with this 180 behaviour should she spot it (not that she often pays much attention to the human visitors) because she knows she's the same. A total grouch/quiet with people unless she truly knows them, and a softie with the mons. The exception is if she's got to tell someone off for dangerous or reckless behaviour. Quiet goes out the window. Seeing someone else this way doesnt phase her, she'd leave them well alone unless theres an issue. Chances are they don't enjoy human interaction, or get anxious around people, so leave them too their own devices. If they need something, they can ask when they want to.
She's not a good public face, nor the one that ever takes the lead on handling visitors. Her jobs dont really allow for it, and thats a blessing to her. Thankfully her excellent staff handle the people, leaving her free to avoid that job.

I want to make a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy video game. I know, book-to-video-game adaptations are usually shit, but hear me out:
One of the key features of H2G2 was the world building, and the technique used to make it so entertaining was to go off on wild tangents that become largely irrelevant to the story within 3 pages, but still stick out in your mind. I’ll never forget the description of the dragon planet. Was it at all relevant to the story? No. Did Eccentrica Galumbits, the triple breasted whore of Eroticon 6 ever make an appearance? Absolutely not, but she was mentioned in every single book.
The game doesn’t have a central storyline, but rather acts like an anthology. You play as a newly hired editor to the guide, whose sent to explore the galaxy for things to write home about. You go planet hopping, meeting new people and collecting things, exploring new places, take notes, just filling out and completing funny side quests. These grant collectables, stories, and even methods to reach planets or places you haven’t been to yet.
For every few quests you complete on a planet, your character writes something about the place to hitchhiker headquarters, who publishes it for the player to read in the guide.
Game play consists of a whole variety of things, like combats, rhythm and dance, racing, a whole thing.

I’ve had this fic idea for Honkai star rail that has progressively transformed into like full ocs being made and a full planet with a history and a social culture that came about as a result of a Stellaron and a complicated relationship between them and the IPC who have taken over their planet and refuse to deal with the Stellaron on the excuse that “after much research and simulation of what would come to pass for this planet after containing the Stellaron, we have realized it cannot be dealt with in a way that wouldn’t severely harm this planet and its people” which is a load of bull and a Doctor that aids the Astral Express who now has a whole history and motivations deeply tied to the Stellaron
And it’s just gotten so out of hand but I think I love it
It started as an excuse to portray my ideal form of whatever the fictional disease trope that Hanahaki is (aka with it representing repressed emotions not unrequited love and not requiring mutual love to heal and also being much more horrific and painful, not just coughing up planets, bc I think if we’re doing something like this it should be dialed all the way up to its potential) but it has morphed into connecting with other emotions as well not just love and just growing to completely overtake the body and now because of this there are numerous factions on the planets with their own theories of its origin as well as ways of handling it and just a lot spawned from it
And I have grown so attached to it without meaning to, it started as an excuse to fulfill this trope in the HSR universe but I love the characters and concept so much uelp help me

My hot take is that people should be allowed to be bad at things.
Now, I can hear you saying "but OP, that's not a hot take! Of course we will have to let people be bad at things, that's the only way they'll ever learn and get better!"
That is not what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about being bad at something as a stepping stone. I'm not talking about it as the necessary evil on the road to the goal of being good at things. I'm talking about sucking for eternity, and how it still has value.
I love singing. I will never be even passably okay at it. I can't keep my voice even, I can't stay in tune even if I know the song perfectly in my head, I'm grating to listen to. I will not get better at it. I will keep belting it out at anime convention karaoke. You will not see me cringing at others who can't for the life of them follow the lyrics. Not because "if we keep doing it we'll slowly start sounding better". But because singing is fun, and that's the important thing.
Hobbies are meant to be fun for the person doing it, and that's all that matters. They don't have to improve. Nobody owes you improvement. Yes it's important to support beginner creatives, because everyone starts off sucking, and with support they can improve and you will get more good artists.
But that's not where it ends. You can't only support someone with the promise of improvement. You will also have to accept the people who have been doing the thing you take pride in and sink endless hours into for years, for decades, who still kind of suck, and who don't seem to be working towards learning more. They don't have to. Stop being conditional with your support. People are allowed to be bad at things, period.
