i LOVE the voicelines Medic has with Haunted Archimedes, he's not disturbed or even slightly put off by the fact that his zombified dove is 1. talking and 2. has a violent and constant craving for brains. he's just like. being a slightly irritated pet owner about it. he's just like "ugh yes archimedes vants all zhe brains doesn't he. now shut up". also i think this is the most on-model medic drawing i've ever done wtf

Q: why are you poorly drawing sexy amy? A: I was bored and didn't want to work on anything important.

Q: are you horny for amy? A: categorically no. she is useful for horny scenarios but I am not horny for any character. her and nardole are on equal playing fields on that front. however one of these characters is significantly more likely to be in this scenario.

Q: don't you complain about the show sexualizing amy? A: I complain about the show doing it without nuance. theres a difference. I think Amy Pond sexualizing herself as a response to her life experiences makes a lot of sense. I dont think moffat thought about it that hard. I have a lot of opinions on this subject.

Q: how could they have handled that topic in a kids show? A: they already made her a kissogram and invoked the idea of a sex worker for her. addressing how/why she got there and how others see her as a sexual object and so she uses that to her advantage is not stepping further than that.

Q: wow. ok. sorry i asked A: amys autonomy and how she expresses it and how its taken from her is both a significant theme of her seasons and completely glossed over in favour of using her as a love interest/the hinge of the love triangle/11 in general/her daughter and her worth and happiness is tied to her love of rory and when she cannot serve that role (ie older!amy) she is killed. So I was talking to a coworker today and she’s sitting there complaining about the fact that “we try to help patients but then they’re back in the hospital a month later because they haven’t done anything for themselves”

And I was just like. Have you considered the fact that the area we’re living in is extremely impoverished and medicine is very expensive? Have you thought about the fact that our education system has been unfunded for almost a half century now and medical illiteracy is extremely high? Have you considered the fact that fruits and veggies are almost prohibitively expensive and you can’t get any food stamps in my state unless you have kids, and if you do have kids, how the hell do you feed them on $4 per day?

i finally wrote an xword that i think might be nyt-submittable...i originally wrote it for the local paper though so i now have to go back through and rework the clues to take out the specific local ones and make some of the others harder. i know exactly which day of the week this would run in the nyt (if it gets accepted) because this type of theme always runs on the same day, so at least i know which clue difficulty to aim for, but i'm still finding it difficult to hit that precise level! i'm used to just making the clues as easy as possible because my local paper's audience is mostly people who aren't xword aficionados. i already reworked this puzzle a couple times based on feedback from friends and family but that was all still when i thought i'd be running it in my local paper. i kinda just want to be done with it but i've never had a theme and fill i thought were completely nyt-worthy before!

Kai did fall quite easily into vigilantism after completing his degree of medicine and nursing, of course it was the simple things first, take care of the hurt, patch it up, not be really bothered to avoid a quirk use violation on his "healing" quirk (look, it is easy to forget a child that was never registered, but it isn't much easy to do so with a quirk so specific, so maybe Kai quirk description can be a bit more misleading than it let's on, but any precinct near would know better than to mess in the head of the family business).

But things escalated as they do, so sometimes Kai has to protect himself and victims, or potential victims too, he takes a liking to use his full respirator mask while going out in the night, his hood hides his purple hue. And white and covering his whole body are just the procedures of course. It makes clear what he left out of his almost impenetrable defense when something gets to him, and it is easier to clean than most people think!(Oboro:I would like to object that Bleach and Blue Soap just aren't good for any clothing-)
