Hng. I can't even afford my Vienna adventure. I borrowed money for the tickets and the trip that I have no idea when I'll be able to pay back. I guess I don't deserve to be on that show either since I didn't bleed and worked my ass off for it. :P

Naaah. Still no bed. I like to torture myself. I've been running around these days doing all these preparations for the trip, yet I feel like I still haven't prepared anything. Fuck my life.

Provocation? Naaah. I just like to see both sides of things. And I think this is one of those times when the rich people are being discriminated for being rich. A rich person can be as much of a fan as a poor person. You said, and I quote "this way not only rich kids would be able to go but real, dedicated Echelon who put some hard work into the project." That just sounds like you're saying that rich kids can't be dedicated and putting an effort in the project. Now, maybe that's not what you exactly meant, but that's what it rhetorically sounds like. (Sorry, philosophy major. You can call it a professional deformation from my part.)

It's a very small show. Just 250 seats. The church couldn't take more even if they wanted to. It's something special, out of ordinary, it's not an actual show in the real sense of that word like the other 300+ ones. Whatever they did with this thing SOMEONE would get pissed. If they had lower/normal prices, still only 250 people could get to the tickets and the rest would get depressed. If they organized some kind of quiz or something for the 'true Echelon', still thousands of them would participate, only 250 would get it, the rest would whine forever. They chose one of the options. Making it exclusive by the price since it's so limited, so now we whine about that context. There would be whining no matter which option they went with. For such a small intimate show, it's a no win situation.

There are bands who put that kind of shows exclusively for celebrities. Who get to go for free. Imagine if Mars did that, which they never would. People would complain even more.

anyway, I really hope you have amazing time during your M&G! it's not like I wouldn't go if I had the money ;-) and all of this being said, may I just add - in this one picture of yours J looks so incredibly HOT, it's one of my favs from this show. What J is doing and saying is acting, obviously. It's not like I didn't enjoy the shows I went to, there was lots of great energy and I had so much fun, but just like you couldn't help having this bad aftertaste. I couldn't afford the GT but from what I noticed people are so crazy about it,they say guys are so nice to them etc but for crying out loud-they're not doing it for free!when they're paying you 500$ each, the least you should do is smile for the picture,right?

Glad you enjoyed my live blogging haha! Actually, when I was there, I really wish I had the people I know from Tumblr around me... And it was my way of taking everyone with me somehow ;DI agree with what you say about This is War. I never actually thought about it before. It's a bit of a strange moment to throw balloons in the crowd. Though - the RED balloons would actually match the video somehow. Yesterday the balloons were transparent with rainbow colored dots?! That IS a little out of place indeed. But I have to say it does not really bother me that much haha. Just when you think about it.I'm not sure about the GT meet&greets. I actually think the guys ARE interested in their fans, though it must get quite boring to meet a few hundred of people every single day in this way. It's just that Jared seems to be a completely different person on stage and I still have not made my mind up about that. Maybe he's just as "real" on stage as he usually is... Maybe that's just a part of who he is? But to me it looks like acting, indeed. I do not say the whole "rockstar thing" is acting because he is a genius musician, I'm just talking about his stage attitude right now.I'm still not sure what to think. The show was really amazing and gave me the biggest energy kick. It was amazing to see the band live. But like you say; I do have some very conflicting feelings about it.

... on one hand it's good, on the other it's not. I noticed some parts of the show, like for exaple the one with red baloons is just so inadequate. I mean, they doing it during TIW, with all the shots from the video in the background, like Martin L. King, G. Bush, Osama etc. the song is supposed to carry a serious political message so the baloons were just out of place imo. they could just put them in some other part of the show and it would be much better.

hi! I really enjoyed your live report from the concert :) brought back some memories. I also had mixed feelings about the gigs, still have actually. They're making a show, it's directed and well studied. Of course, they still seem like they're having fun doing that and J. is always trying to bring something fresh in,he's quite spontaneous and interacts a lot with the audience, but... it's just not the way it used to be back in the oldschool times,that's for sure
