Cookie & Gacha Features
❔ White Lily Cookie - Light of Freedom Nether Gacha
A theory deemed impossible because of the witnessed events from the Tower of Sweet Chaos, the fact that this skill was teased in the TUTORIAL said otherwise. Her skill does area damage that increases with every buff she has, and ensnares enemies in immobilizing vines with bonus aftereffects and extra damage once dispelled or if the target is immune. Her passive can heal and purify her entire team after getting enough debuffs, although activating the buffs gained with this passive is linked with using her skill.
🌷🏹 Silverbell Cookie - Featured Banner
One of the Faeries of the forest. His skill provides DMG Resist and healing over time that scales with buffs held by his teammates while also providing a DPS/stun debuff on enemies damaged by his skill.
Activates bonus passives when Mercurial Knight Cookie is on the same team.
🧚‍♂️🥄 Mercurial Knight Cookie - Featured Banner (Ends 3/13)
The Commander of the Silver Tree Knights. Gains new powers when using his skill. While his skill is active, he heals extra damage (plus damage relative to Max HP for Cookies) and inflicts Mercury Poisoning with each attack. His Final Strike at the end of his skill deals big damage that increases based on his targets’ stacks of Mercury Poisoning (this is damage relative to Max HP for Cookies).
His passive gives him a stack of Amalgamation every second and whenever he gets a debuff. After gaining 60 stacks, he dispels all his debuffs and enters Mercury Storm mode for temporarily increased ATK, ATK SPD, and Max HP. He can’t gain Amalgamation stacks while Mercury Storm is active.
Activates bonus passives when Silverbell Cookie is on the same team.
3rd Anniversary Deluxe Gacha
Anniversary gacha with increased odds for Super Epic+ Cookies and a guaranteed Super Epic+ Cookie every 150 pulls. Only accessible with special gacha tickets found in events and the shop.
Pure Vanilla Cookie’s Viridescent Daydream & White Lily Cookie’s Moonflower Faerie Legendary Costume Gacha
Features a special Title for collecting both costumes
Lunar New Year Special Hanbok Costumes
The Lunar New Year Hanbok Special Costumes for Almond Cookie, Dark Choco Cookie, Oyster Cookie, Moon Rabbit Cookie, Cherry Cookie, and Macaron Cookie are back again! They’ll disappear again with the banner once this update ends.
👻 Blackberry Cookie - Buffed
Blackberry Cookie’s skill now grants an ATK SPD buff and HP Shield in addition to her existing CRIT% buff. This further cements her status as one of the best Rare Cookies in the game!
Major Update Features (Includes Part 1)
Beascuits - Adds extra bonuses to your Cookies
Today’s Bounties - Updated and organized to include new rewards.
Each boss now has a different reward… Skill Powders now stand solely with the Labyrinth Tactician!
Daily attempts increased from 3 to 6, Kingdom Pass increases this cap to 9
Bonus rewards awarded on a given boss on a given day of the week (Sugar Gnome Laboratory technologies that increase rewards apply their bonuses after the daily bonus)
New/Returning players have an extra, temporary bonus on top of the existing bonuses
Added 2.5x Game Speed to standard and arena battles
Cookie and Skill max level increased to 80
Level cap is reachable after achieving Kingdom level 45

Master Post: Cookie Run: Ovenbreak
⚙️ Cookie Run: Ovenbreak could be considered to be Devsisters’ flagship title, having premiered on October 26th, 2016. If you’ve never heard of it, you’ll ask yourself “What is THAT?!” As the operator here, let me tell YOU what that answer is. It’s an endless 2D side-scrolling platforming gacha game that’s about Cookies running. It originally followed Gingerbrave’s adventures while escaping the Oven, but times have seriously changed since Mr. Ordinary’s first steps out.
With simple two-button controls, plenty of ways to play, more than a hundred playable Cookies, plenty of cosmetics and customizable options to fit your aesthetic and gameplay tastes, regularly-rotating events, and an ever-adapting lore profile that could stack up to the Kirby series as a reigning Heavyweight Lore Champion, there’s a little bit of everything for you and then some. If you wanna play, go on and get it from your local App Store! Maybe even ask someone for an invite code so you’ll both get free stuff!
But first, you need to find your way through the Lobby to get anywhere else…

When you think about it, Sword Art Online was actually extremely, unrealistically optimistic about the future of MMORPGs even with the mad game designer creating a lethal game in season 1 and all.
That series makes MMOs and other virtual worlds, even beyond that season 1 death game that had some justifications for it, come off like something free and mysterious (though still not very well-designed in many ways).
From what I recall, there also wasn’t much in the way of pay to win mechanics or even a shitty cosmetic cash shop that I can remember. This even though probably most of the MMOs that actually exist in reality have some kind of awful monetization problem along those lines.
There’s even MMOs that give players a painfully slow base movement speed in order to sell them movement speed potions. There’s MMOs that feature unforgivable grinds so that they can sell XP or level boosts.
Honestly, the design of a lot of cash-grab MMOs is so bad that it wouldn’t be that much worse if they literally killed you.
In contrast, Overlord feels a lot more honest. YGGDRASIL sounds like a game with some interesting player-driven systems but the protagonist’s guild rose to prominence by recruiting only players who could be gainfully employed to sink money into cash shop items. There was even a painful cash gacha and limited time cosmetics.
The game was so pay to win that spending time at work to spend money on the game was a much more effective way of gaining power than actually playing the game.
You can even buy a cash shop item that grants 3 wishes, you need to basically open loot boxes to get it.
I find this future a lot more bleak, but also more believable. There will be more great games in the future, but they will be marred not by mad game designers but by the same greed that is already tormenting us.

So I just started playing honkai and since ur the only person that I know plays and I have no fucking clue what I'm doing any advice? (Also I havnt even played past the tutorial, I havnt even met the character yet, and idk what you thought but kiana seems pretty gay for mei because her literal first to lines about her are "I wonder what she'll make us for dinner!" and "Mei! Am I gonna meet up with Mei?!" Like I'm probably wrong but idk it just seems a bit 💅)
Oh Kiana’s totally head over heels for Mei dkfjskfjsk. I used to main her and jesus christ I had to hear her gush about Mei so many times a day ;;;;;;; one of her idle lines is basically “it’s so sunny outside!! This would be a perfect time to go on a date with Mei…..”
Sigh. That girl’s pining so hard it’s ridiculous. Love her. KiaMei my beloved <3333 dkfjskjdksjd
Anyways moving on, take all of this with a grain of salt bc I am not by any means a Professional Honkai Player skfjskdjks. I’ve looked up exactly Zero tutorials and done exactly Zero tests, I’m just spewing what seems to work for me
Idk if you’re a completionist or not but like it might be good to mention dkfjskdnsk ah, 3-starring all the levels isn’t really necessary unless you want crystals for gacha pulls. Well they give other things too but I usually do it for crystals. Don’t worry about it early on, you can always go back later and redo the levels.
Open World mode is unlocked at Captain Level 18, but CL35 is when you unlock Adventure Tasks; that’s what I mainly use OW for. I find that it’s a good way to get gold and materials. They also give battlesuit fragments, so it’s good if you want a specific character. But I’ve only seen a few specific battlesuits given so like. Idk. But yeah Adventure Tasks are good.
Also btw there’s three different Open Worlds. It doesn’t matter which one you do, but there’s one called A Post-Honkai Odyssey. Idk if it’s unlocked already for you, but I wouldn’t recommend doing that one since you’re so early into the game. It’s not bad or crazy hard or anything, but I think it’s better if you get farther into the story before you start it. I’m not that far in and it kinda confused me ;;;;
Oh oh! If you can, use those stamina replenisher items as well as the HOMU boxes. They give you stamina and gold when you use them. Istg you can never have enough of those, especially later in the game. I’m like. Level 73 and I’m still literally always broke because I need to level up my characters ;;;;;; usually it’s leveling up skills that makes my money evaporate into thin air, but enhancing weapons and stigmatas has done that as well………
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^^ two types of HOMU boxes, the right one gives you the most amount of gold.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
^^ and then a few items that give you stamina when used. There’s a ton and they all look different. Both HOMU boxes and stamina items can be found in Equipment, you can filter it by Materials to make it easier to find them. If you’re not sure what they do, just tap on them and check the description, it’ll say smth like “use to get 60 stamina” or “use to get 1000 gold”
Idk what level it is specifically, but when you unlock the dorms, there’s a thing that generates both over time. You’ll wanna claim those as often as possible, I usually do it when I first log in. (While I’m talking about it, I’d recommend trying to log in every day at least. It’s not mandatory, but the daily rewards are really nice imo.)
Tumblr media
^^ those are the things I’m talking about dkfjksjd I know it says beta testing on the bottom, but the official dorm base looks basically the exact same. The dorm bonuses are still on the right, I just don’t have my ipad with me to take actual screenshots and for some reason I couldn’t find any pics of the actual dorm screen for the life of me
There’s also weekday events if you go to Attack and then events. On Saturday and Sunday, you can do the Super HOMU Run thingy and it’ll give you a ton of gold.
Ummm stigmatas are good! And weapons. Try to level those up, they help a lot if you wanna do more damage. I used to just put random stigmatas on my Valkyries bc I had no clue what they did but!! They have like. Actual effects and stats that help more when they’re given to characters who would actually benefit from them dkfjskjxskjd. So characters who deal fire damage would benefit from stigmatas who buff/deal fire damage, characters who have a damage boost against enemies who are paralyzed benefit from stigmatas that paralyze enemies. Would not recommend putting stigmatas that buff ranged attacks on a character who fights melee aha ;;;;;; same situation with weapons and weapon skills. It isn’t like. Game breaking or anything if you do happen to put mismatched equipment on your characters, but it uhhh might help a little
It also helps to take advantage of the leader skills!
Tumblr media
There’s not any set character that has The Best Bonus, it depends on what you need on that level. Personally I like boosted damage and attack speed but that’s because my playstyle is basically just ooga booga spam attack button
Hmmmm I think Q-Singularis is good to do? I’m bad at remembering to do it because up until like. Yesterday, I was maybe a little tiny bit bitter that it replaced a previous Abyss that I really loved, but the rewards for it are pretty good even if the bleed effect leaves my Valkyries on life support sometimes. (There’s also Dirac Sea, they rotate between the two. That one’s good as well, I’m pretty sure they give the same rewards but I might be wrong. Like I said, I forget to do them skfjskjdsknd)
Armadas are also pretty nice, they’re basically guilds/groups you can join that give you rewards based on how much you contribute. I think you unlock them fairly early on? You have to play consistently to not get kicked though. I forget to log in for months on end sometimes so I’m. Pretty frequently kicked out aha ;;;;;
I thiiink that’s enough aha ;;; feel free to ask about anything else! This was fun to do haha. (My UID is 101609594 if you wanna friend me :3 I’m stuck as Emilia on there bc Mihoyo won’t let me change my name but it’s me I promise dkfjskjdksjd)

from BlueTidalGamer to Kyle: Do you have any favourite games that you'd consider a guilty pleasure?
Questions answered by Ian Flynn and Kyle Crouse
Episode link
Kyle: Well, I don’t really feel guilty about them, like
Ian: [laughs]
Kyle: is that a thing? Like, I understand that maybe I should guilty about them but I don’t
Ian: Close enough
Kyle: Sure, I mean, I don’t feel guilty about liking Sonic Heroes [laughs] I will acknowledge that it has massive problems, but I still like it and that’s fine, I’m fine with it, and so, I think a lot of it has to do with the music, but I also do find it kinda fun, it’s a bit repetitive having to play through the same stages with similar character multiple times in order to finish it, but on that same token, it’s actually kind of relaxing in a way, in that way, there’s definitely frustrating points, the special stages are hot garbage, they’re not good, they’re not good, they are not well done, the final battle against Metal Overlord as Super Sonic, no. It’s completely broken, I still don’t understand how it’s even supposed to work, because there’s so many like, invisible walls everywhere and it’s just, that’s completely broken, but I don’t know there’s still something about it that’s appealing to me, I like it better than Sonic Adventure 2, which is probably going to make people very mad to which I say
Ian: Sacrilege
Kyle: To which I say, come at me bros. I also love me some Warriors slash Musou game oh ho, they are so fun, just slaughtering down complete armies as a freaking like god, is awesome, it is so awesome, it is so cool I love them, especially Hyrule Warriors, which is funny, because I’m not like a huge Zelda fan, I like Zelda games but I’ve never been like super into them, and I’ve not played all of them, but for some reason Hyrule Warriors just hits me right perfectly, because even though I haven’t played many Zelda games, I’ve seen and played enough of them to know a lot of what they are referencing, so I can still appreciate it for the references, and because I like Zelda character, Zelda characters are great, I just you know, the games I don’t necessarily sit down and play all that often, so
Ian: I think the magic balance with Hyrule Warriors is that it’s indulgent in all the right ways, you are playing with the world’s best written fanfic, and you are given the power of a god to just lay waste to all the bad guys, until you are given the power of a god to lay waste to the good guys, so that you can lay waste to the bad guys again, as the good guys again, and it’s so good
Kyle: The fact that almost everybody is playable in some form or another, whether they’re good or evil is brilliant, it’s perfect, I can’t wait for the next one, I can’t wait for the age of calamity it’s gonna to be so
Ian: We’re not gonna get into that topic, or we’re nor going to finish the show, because I’m gonna go on and on and on and on and on
Kyle: Yep, that might be something we have to break out the actual episode numbers for, to talk about at some point
Both: [laugh]
Kyle: I also do have a soft spot for the Dead or Alive series, the fighting game specifically, I’ve not played the dating sims, but the fighting games, I like them, they’re silly, it’s a very just kinda stupid, fanservice-y game, but it actually has some pretty good fighting mechanics too, so it’s not all just silliness, I still stand by Super Princess Peach, I think it’s a pretty good, fun little platformer, people criticize it because it’s a game staring a woman focused on emotions, but here’s the thing, the whole point of the game is that Peach is the only one who can control her emotions, no one else can, Mario and everybody else is overcome with emotional strife, and she has to go out and be the one to, who actually has control over her emotions and be the one to save the kingdom, so, I think that’s a nice kinda twist of an old school formula, Golden Axe: Beast Rider, I like just because it’s stupid, I like stupid games, that’s my thing, apparently, same with Lollipop Chainsaw, it’s completely stupid, Metal Wolf Chaos is the same way, they’re just dumb, they’re just dumb fun, and that’s all I want in video games a lot of the time, just something to turn your brain off and have completely stupid things happening, that’s really all I want in life, really, because I’m sick of my brain [laughs] so, those are some of my guilty pleasures, I suppose, I’m not guilty about them, but you know. What about you Ian? what are some games you might, you enjoy but not necessarily
Ian: Going to admit to it?
Kyle: Going to admit it, I suppose
Ian: Ah shoot, I haven’t really thought about it because the question was posed to you, I didn’t think about it
Kyle: [laughs] Well, you know I always turn it around back on you sometimes
Ian:  [laughs] I guess I feel a little dirty with just how much time I’ve spent on Tales of Crestoria, which is a very buggy gacha, and I mean, gachas in and of themselves kinda feel dirty because it’s a thinly veiled attempt to get your money, some of them are better about the gameplay than others, but you know that down at the bottom of it, they want you to spend money to get thing, I like getting the thing, I’ve never been suckered into spending money on it, and crestoria itself is, the bugginess aside, Kyle, the game wouldn’t load half the time when they launched because of a bug in the chat system
Kyle: [laughs]
Ian: You literally couldn’t go to the guild management screen because it would try to load the guild chat and break the game, it was, anyway
Kyle: Sounds like a mobile game to me, especially newly launched mobile game
Ian: And the drop rates are just atrocious, but I’m a fan of the tales of series, I’m really fond of the design aesthetic, the localization on the story is top notch, the music is solid, and who cares if most of the game is running on auto as I, you know, do something else, and just hit the button so I can get the thing, so I can level up the characters, so I can hit auto, so I can hit the thing and it’s completely a skinner box, but darn it, it’s a nice skinner box, I like the box, I press button, people do swingy anime thing, explosion, yay
Kyle: Sometimes you just need a nice boost of
Ian: Endorphins
Kyle: Yeah, sometimes, you just need a nice endorphin boost sometime you do, it’s fine, why do you think I like stupid games with dumb or no stories that are just button mash action, it’s the same kinda thing

Spirit Committee Mod’s Christmas Gift to you
So back earlier this year when I first started this blog, one of the first ever requests I received was a question asking me “What were my 20 favorite Housamo characters?” At first I really didn’t have an answer since I was trying to reintroduce myself to the cast, but now that I’ve ingrained myself into the community a decent bit I can give you guys what I look for in a Housamo character as my thanks to all of you for just enjoying my content really. I look for what appeals to me visually (I’m the kinda writer that likes em big and beefy) but also well written. While not every character may or may not be the best written character since there’s so much reading I have to go back and do, but I am comfortable 20 characters I find to be downright great.
My Top 10~20 Housamo Characters
Honorable Mentions: Characters who do definitely qualify in the Top 20, but are just simply hard to place exactly in a definitive slot (lists like these are pretty hard to write for in hindsight…)
~Aegir: This is a character that’s very hard to place for a few different reasons. On one hand he’s easily one of the more aesthetically pleasing characters to me and I don’t just mean his body. There’s just always something about outfits in Housamo that just look amazing and I think Aegir’s is one of the better ones because they both show off his best assets and are pretty snazzy. His color scheme in most of his outfits tend to say hes an ocean man and I like you can just tell by looking at him given the whites and blues along with the gold he adorns himself with. Sort of what you’d expect from a treasure hunter such as himself. And yes he is a total heart throb alongside that I do have a bit of Gacha bias here and for the next one since I have all variants of them and some really good artwork. On the other hand, what do I know about him? Well, he’s a pretty boisterous fellow who loves to show off and is a big man. What else? Um…. Unfortunately Aegir’s events aren’t fully translated and his voice lines and bio do leave a bit to be desired for me at least. When it comes to writing him I have no issues, but when it comes to trying to visualize him as a character among the vast cast it just becomes hard to give him a good place beyond “He has a nice chest and bulge” most of the time. It’s not anything personal and my opinion of him may change after this Christmas event is over and translated by the Housamo Blogspot and GomTang is one of my favorite artists working with LifeWonders so he may get bumped up or off. As an additional upside I do like how his gameplay in both of his variants reflect his character, it’s a nice touch game designers often do.
~Takemaru: Yes, both 2019 Christmas boys. And yes, it’s because of their tiddies. I’m mostly kidding… But in all seriousness Takemaru is one of the better offensive supports in the game who’s one of the easier units to pull in the gacha, especially right now considering he has an alt on the banner so in theory he should be showing up more frequently as a 3star. But that’s just a theory. The thing with Takemaru I like beyond his design is the fact with how genuine sweet he is as a character. He’s rough in how he speaks but his personality is very sincere (for the most part from what I can gather) However he falls into the same trap as Aegir since I haven’t read the events he’s a part of just yet. Plus he is a crafter boy and you never say no to a Crafter.
~Kengo: One of two Summoners on this list. I have a bit more preference for Kengo over the other summoner that did make the list, but to be as fair as I can in my judgment I have to leave Kengo in the 11-20 pile. Visually he has all the check boxes that just draw me to a character initially and his personality is simple, but I like that he’s simple. Characters don’t always need to be complex and multi faceted to be engaging, plus I just kinda want someone who would encourage me to be more active and I feel a few characters alongside Kengo would do that, he’s a Chad and a bro. So why is he not in the inner circle for this list? It’s cuz the story treats him the worst. What do I mean? deep breath If you’ve read Chapter 3 of the main story then you should know the absolute mess it is. It tries to shove in as many characters as possible during this part of the story which, okay understandable since this is a gacha game but they forgot to give Kengo, you know one of the cover boys, a proper role in the story and it really feels LifeWonders thought that they could bank on Kengo’s Himbo status and just showing us the others. But I need sustenance. I need to read! He did because he has moments that could have been much more if they just shifted the focus back on Kengo for more than a few moments at a time and he sort of highlights a lot of my issues with the way the stories are told in this game but those are for another time.
~Arc: In my perspective, the antithesis to Kengo. Not to say I find Arc visually unappealing, but they aren’t for me the way other characters are though. As a character though Arc’s story is honestly one of the best stories has to offer and they actually have (pardon my pun) an arc. I won’t spoil too much of their story because it’s all pretty late into the game but you really do sympathize with Arc and begin to understand the larger narrative the game has. Plus a nice detail is that Arc’s voice lines change depending on the point of the story you’re in I guess? Or maybe it was a release thing I’m not too sure how you trigger one over the other but they get 2 sets of lines. And they actually integrate Arc into the story and revolving cast pretty well instead of casting them to the wayside for 80% of their story. I can’t go much deeper than that unfortunately. All I can say is read Chapter 7 and 8 but do know that they are some of the more darker and serious chapters in the game so far.
~Durga: The only Yoyogi girl who strives to be number one. Unfortunately she joined the wrong list and wound up in the runner up tier. But for starters Durga has one of my favorite voice actresses who plays a number of my favorite characters in anime and games so I’m glad LifeWonders are capable of getting such talented voice work. As a character I know what this character is mostly about and the event I haven’t really read yet is her initial one so when that gets an official TL I’ll read it to grow more understanding. But from what I have now I can safely put her as one of my favorites because her drive to be number one is inspiring to try your best and everyone should follow her example to some degree. I say that because she really does feel naturally flawed given her alleged age. I won’t spoil much of Dreamland but I will say how Durga’s struggle is further amplified is totally understandable given her position in the group of athletes and her desire to always win and why she always pushes herself to be her best at any cost and it’s definitely something I can see someone doing (without as catastrophic a breakdown when it backfires and just learning what works best for her). As for why she’s not in the other category given my praise of her character is because I don’t have the full story much like with a few prior entries on the list. But when that event does get a TL at some point I do want to read it and finally have the full picture for her so I can rank her properly.
~Kyuma: I shall dub him my Kouhai because he is a first year. A lot of people don’t like Kowmei’s art, myself included, but overall his characters don’t really put me off that much since there’s only one in particular. Kyuma’s good though. He is a good, hardworking kouhai I’d enjoy being around given he seems the most levelheaded of his friends despite his age.  Or maybe its because of his age? There’s no grand singular reason he’s on this part of the list. He just needs to be in more events and get an actual alt. That’s all.
~Zao: I wish he was introduced in a better event because he is one of the better characters released in year one. But good lord does his event drag you through the dirt with terrible battles and awful pacing. It’s unfortunate his whole story is dragged down because the game was still in an early spot when this event originally came out. Outdated gameplay aside I think Zao does best in setting the precedent for shop units when it comes to writing and design. I like his arc going from a stubborn mountain man to a more open and accepting person. However he has a similar issue with Kengo where he has to share his spotlight with characters of varying degrees but unlike Kengo the other characters who appear in this event are meant to compliment Zao rather than detract from him.
~Amatsumara: He’s the dad of the Crafters and is who makes the Crafters really feel like a family. Every member feels like they have a role in the Guild and you can really see how much Amatsumara values them. He just seems like the doting father type who gives you noogies and I can respect that. Seeing him interact with characters in Chapter 9 was also one of the more enjoyable aspects of that chapter. I won’t spoil it but it was pretty good.
For the final 2 they’re just characters who’s designs I like a lot and just need to do more research since this game has a lot of characters to try and find information on
~Dagon
~Tomte
And yes, its cuz they’re cute and new. I am shallow… ;u;
Now for the Top 10 favorites, but even then placement can change depending on what LifeWonders plans to do with them down the line.
10. Gunzo: Kicking off this list is the rugby player himself. To start he’s a very dorky athlete. He isn’t the greatest at handling social situations and kind of a goofball when it comes down to it. But those are not bad things, in fact they’re what landed him on the list. His quirkiness is just plain adorable and I do enjoy the antics he and his classmates get into. Not only that but he’s a pretty laid back guy once you get to know him a bit better. It’s his lack of awareness that is his best strength, but worst weakness at times.
9. Kurogane: deep breath ANIKI~!!! Jokes aside Kurogane is the character that when I first saw, I was very disappointed he wasn’t playable. (Then GoGo happened and made me one happy person) and he’s voiced by the same guy who did Broly back in the day so that’s pretty awesome. Kurogane actually likes it a lot when you call him “Big Bro” and I would totally call him that once I found out he did because he’s so wholesome and goodwilled. Plus he does deserve some recognition as someone older since he is the youngest in his Guild. Not only that I can sort of relate to Kurogane’s desire at being an engineer since when I was still attending classes in college that was what I was studying as my major. I can’t quite match the same level of enthusiasm as Kurogane, I do see where his character does come from when tackling certain things, which is how he easily became one of my favorites.
8. Claude: You want a sugar daddy? Claude is probably your guy. So the leader of the Berserkers Guild is a great guy, most of the time. He has his moments where he can get carried away with his own desires rather than doing the correct thing, but honestly there’s something satisfying about a man just taking what he wants. That and well, getting a bit of a wake up call that you can’t just do all of that because you’re bored. His character quest is what really sold me on Claude as a character and something about it felt very real. A lot of it was very vague terminology and confirms Claude’s status as a bottom. Claude is also very intelligent and he’s always trying to make the best move that will benefit the most amount of people, whether or not its for his own interests usually. Also this wouldn’t be your mod if I didn’t mention how good he looks, especially his outfits. Bombom just really knows how to design clothes.
7. Moritaka: Arguably the face of the franchise right after Salomon. Moritaka, to my knowledge, is one of the most popular Housamo characters and to be frank I can see why he would hold that title. He’s just a lovable character with cute art. I really think I show my love for him in my Headcanons so I’ll keep it brief by saying he’s a really enjoyable character.
6. Maria: Our local Lesbian sister will help you find true love, I promise. Maria is another really popular and well-liked character and again I can totally see why. She’s cute as a button and really compassionate towards everyone she meets. And from what I’ve seen from her, Maria is very honest with herself going forward from a certain point which is so satisfying to see. I won’t spoil her entire arc even though her chapters have been out for a while just so you can experience it for yourself. She’s too precious for me to spoil. But her character growth aside, she’s a very compassionate and kind character even to those who aren’t the most kind in return and she even goes out of her way to try and relate to those characters despite the fact they might not make sense.
5. Hephaestus: Here we have my son, please buy him Legos instead of Mega Bloks or he’ll cry. I was a little hesitant with Hephaestus at first to be blunt. He seemed to be quite crude in certain places and really uncaring and a little cliché with his attitude. Plus he’s quite nasty to Talos, often times getting mad at Talos for simply doing what he was made to do. But Chapter 9 really put it into perspective. For spoilers I can’t say what made me turn around from wanting to look away from wanting to just hold him and protect him. All I can say is that he has been put through the wringer and just deserves to be happy.
4. Ashigara: Best bear, Volos stans don’t come for me. I explained it before but Ashigara is a character that tends to radiate “me” energy and I can totally see us being friends in real life. He’s the kind of guy who’d send you memes when your sad but he’d eat all your food, which is why you were sad in the first place. All about give and take.
3. Oniwaka: A bully BF uwu god have mercy but yes. Oniwaka was actually my first ever Housamo summon when I first began to play and on my most recent account (I’ve been on and off with the series until I started this blog and became more of a permanent player) he was my first 5star unit so it weirdly came full circle with him. His alternate skins are an absolute delight to behold and he is no slouch in the writing department after the slog that was Chapter 3. If anything he just got better with each appearance. He was rough around the edges, but seeing his softer sides just warms your heart.
2. Wakan Tanka: Touching down at silver place is my “Housamo Husbando”. Weird I know but let me explain. Wakan Tanka is a character I very much love and cherish, he is a really cute boy who just wants to do good by everyone he meets. He hates treating people especially different which is societal goals. However, he has a tendency to come off as a bit too perfect. While I really like him, he’s also feels more like an ideal than someone who can actually develop and grow. Wakan has basically achieved ascention. As for the top place on this list though…
1. Taurus Mask/Daisuke Ikusaba: Much like how Oniwaka was my first pull, Daisuke was my first Housamo crush. First and foremost his design is what I consider to be very tasteful. It’s both an incredibly attractive outfit, it’s also very appropriate and it isn’t too distracting. Second I love how LifeWonders leans into a character completely and just goes all out with a number of references to their lore or culture. Since Daisuke is a luchador inspired character its really cool to see his Summon Day be May 5th. Thirdly and finally, his writing as a character completely wins me over. He is a shy senior by day, but wrestling prodigy by night. Not only is that badass, but you have the perfect set up and the writer in me squeaks like a little fan girl that I am. Wrestling was never really my thing growing up so while I don’t have any fondness for it in particular, if I had seen Taurus Mask in action you would see me in the crowd shouting for him. Daisuke is just that amazing and why he’s my Number 1 favorite Housamo character.

MTG: It's Not Gacha
I try not to shoot from the hip on matters like these.
I try not, generally speaking, to do long-form articles about important topics where the subject matter is high impact and there are well-intentioned people who look uninformed to me. It's a sure-fire way of wading into a complex situation where I contribute no actual value, just noise.
Plus, this is the intersection of Magic: the Gathering, game development, and human incentive systems, which I'm sorry to say I'm rapidly doing things that make me kind of expert on, even if I shy from being considered an expert. There's a whole gulf of information between where I sit and where a lot of other voices on the matter sit, which can make me feel like I'm either talking over them (because they don't know what they're talking about, and don't realise that) or that I'm getting into an extremely contentious fight (because they know what they're talking about, and are presenting falsehoods and do not care).
Still, it's April, it's my month, you're here on my blog so sit down, shut up, and learn why every time people compare Gacha to Magic: the Gathering I roll my eyes so hard it makes my skull ache.
Differences of Scale
In any given Magic: The Gathering set in a modern printing, there are about sixty rares, and twenty-three mythic rares. Mythic rares happen about once every eight packs. So, if you want one mythic rare, and you want to pop boosters for it for a chance to get it, you hypothetically need to pop 184 boosters to have a 'statistical chance' to get the mythic rare you want, or about a .5% chance to get that mythic rare.
Now, again, let's set aside just how bad an idea this is. Let's just say this is how you're going to do it. Pop boosters until you get the card and you get a .5% chance, give or take some rounding.
Gacha games obviously vary, and those games use a host of variable systems to make your chances more or less reliable, so it's hard to say what those chances are on average for their rarest stuff, but some games - some very popular and very well liked Gacha games, Gacha games I've seen my friends playing have rates for their rarest pulls during fortnight-long events at .007%.
Not 7%. Not .7%. .007%.
Magic: The Gathering's rarest game objects by the worst method of obtaining them can be hundreds of times easier to get. And these Gachas offer paid boosters at roughly the same prices as Magic boosters too!
Which honestly doesn't matter, because Gacha games and Magic purchases aren't comparable in this way because of...
Differences of Ownership
Magic Cards are physical objects. When you pop a booster, you don't get a bunch of digital stuff on a drive, you get actual physical devices, objects that are exchangeable, and tradable. You might find that other people want what's from your boosters, and that stuff is yours to trade away. You can even sell it for money. Is it worthless? It's probably not worth a lot, because value concentrates around the best cards in any given set, but the point is this stuff is yours and you can make choices about that.
In Gacha games, by default, there's no trading mechanism, and why should there be? There's no reason for you to be able to play swapsies with these digital items. Heck, from the perspective of the company doing it, trades are probably really annoying to implement.
Since the cards are a physical object, and unregulated, you can trade them with other people, and there are even stores that exist, and those stores have a reason to want to maintain a stable business, so you can take your cards to them, and sell them to them and they'll get you involved in the business of trading and playing the game. They get more money over time if you keep coming to them, so their motivation to rip you off isn't exactly strong.
And these stores will sell you specific cards you want.
Let's use that idea of you gunning for a specific Mythic Rare by popping boosters. Let's use the most expensive mythic from Guilds of Ravnica as an example, Arclight Phoenix.
As of the time I write this, Arclight Phoenix is $30 on Starcity Games, and it is out of stock at that price. The demand for this sucker is pretty high and the card is pretty good. Don't worry about why, it doesn't matter. The point is, you can have this card for the price of 5 boosters, which beats the snot out of buying 184 boosters to hope and crack it (at a rate of around $1,104).
Now, yes, that is pretty pricey, and we'll get to that later, but the point is, this card is good but expensive and in an external market, there's a way to get it that costs you way less. Gacha doesn't typically have a secondary market (though we'll get to Artifact later).
Do I recommend you go out and buy a playset of Arclight Phoenixes? No, not really. This is not a card you should be buying as your first point of investment in Magic: The Gathering and there's no urgent need for you to have it right now unless you have some really weird priorities. The 'default way' of playing Magic: the Gathering isn't going to ask you to have an Arclight Phoenix.
There are other, even more expensive cards out there, and we'll get to that later.
For now, though, the introduction of this secondary market is important, because of...
Differences In Distribution
Know who makes money off Gacha purchases? The company that runs the game. They spend some of that money on running servers (which are often in-house), they spend some of that money on developing new services for their game, and they spend some of that money on promotion and advertising and all that stuff, but the root purchase goes straight to the company, and that company then decides how they spend it.
Know who makes the most money off a Magic: The Gathering booster? Well, based on current industry metrics, the people who drive the trucks transporting those boosters around. Around 50% of board and card game purchases are made up of transport and distribution costs. Some of the booster sales go to the store where you bought them, and they purchased the boosters off Wizards, but between Wizards and the game stores, there's the distributors, who pay a large percentage of their costs in getting the objects around the world.
I swear with corporate diagrams like this I'm surprised I'm defending these people
Now, Wizards still make a profit on Magic: the Gathering, because lots of people buy boosters, and supplemental products. But the people getting paid for Magic: the Gathering includes a host of people who aren't Wizards. Boosters go up and down based on the cost of paper, disposal methods, localisation teams, and a lot of what's going on involves a number of intermediary businesses, and changes in those businesses has impacts on Wizards.
Now, this isn't to say that Wizards have a more moral position than anyone else, but it changes the relationship between Wizards on the profit-per-sale and the demands on what a booster is worth. Because if a Gacha game sets a price for a booster, that's how much they get. That means from their perspective, they get a lot more profit per-booster, and therefore, they have a very direct reason to want you to buy lots of boosters. Wizards want you to buy a lot of boosters too, and ideally, they'd like you to buy more. But if you buy twenty boosters trying for one card, you're not paying them twenty booster's worth of money. You're paying that to your local store, to transport, and distributors, and printers.
And that secondary market? The explosive rares like Arclight Phoenix? That's not valuable from Wizards' perspective, not really.
See, the secondary market is typically driven by a few forces. One is a few chase formats like Vintage and Commander where players will often spend a disproportionate amount on cards that seem weird to everyone else, but which largely don't matter, and don't drive play or attendance. One of them is casual appeal (and we'll get to that). Then there's tournament success, where players will buy cards to build constructed decks that are likely to win in constructed formats.
But remember, Wizards make money on the boosters. They don't make money on the sale of the Arclight Phoenixes that have already been popped. Those sales go to a secondary seller. If a card becomes too valuable, what happens is, stores start popping boxes of product in large volumes to get the chase card, and sell that chase card at the highest rate they can.
Booster boxes have fixed value from Wizards' perspective; they sell them for (about) $100, and retailers pay less for them, for about 36 boosters. That means that any given mythic should show up once every six boxes... which means if a card becomes worth (say) $100 on its own, card stores are better off opening boxes and selling all the singles in them. This puts a ceiling on the possible prices of a mythic rare, and that means the rest of the cards in that box wind up being 'free.'
We've seen this happen, by the way. Wizards deliberately started putting in chase cards in a few sets to push down the prices of other rares and it resulted in some very good, reliable cards selling very cheaply and that made the formats they were good in very accessable. It was a cool thing.
But again: Wizards don't control the secondary market. They don't run these stores. They don't profit off them, they profit off the sales of boosters. From their perspective, what changes the amount of money they make is not single overpowered cards, but lots of people playing the game a lot. They want you to engage with the secondary market by coming to the store more and playing more, not so they can scoop up some kind of kickback for buying Arclight Phoenixes, but because you playing the game makes it more likely other people will play the game with you, and you'll all buy boosters, because boosters are fun and cool.
By the way, this is why I side-eye Artifact. Because the people who make that game have that game's secondary market, which gives them an incentive to make people turn over their collections often so they can collect the fees.
Differences of Purpose
All this talk of Boosters and math makes my head hurt anyway, because it acts as if Boosters are how you get the Magic cards you want, which they're not. Boosters are not a tool for getting cards. If they were, they'd be garbage at it. You saw those odds, .5%? Hundreds of dollars to get a card that may be at best, worth, what, $30?
Boosters are boosters. Boosters are made, and designed to be a game-complete unit on their own.
There's a way to play Magic: The Gathering called Booster draft. It is one of the two easiest to approach tournament formats that exist, and it is a format full of creature math and building tight decks, and it both rewards very specific skill, and strives to sort out for random good or bad luck.
What you do in Booster Draft is you get three boosters - that's usually the price of entry, by the way, just the cost of three boosters. You open the first booster, take one card, and pass the rest on. The player to your side did the same thing, and now you have a different booster, minus one card, to choose from, and so on. This is a great format, it's a good way to build skill, and it's a good way to build a collection. If you want to play tournament magic, this is absolutely one of your best starting points.
Some of the articles harping on this point used the entry point for formats called Legacy and Vintage as their data points. This is pure crap. Those formats are functionally vestigial. Wizards are not looking to recruit players into playing Vintage or Legacy, because those formats are both fundamentally constricted (the number of cards) and entirely secondary (Wizards have promised not to print the cards that define those formats ever again).
Oh, and because this is my month, fuck it, here, let's get really petty: I see you, Person I Don't Even Remember The Name Of, complaining about the high prices of Legacy sideboard card Moat keeping him from playing Legacy competitively, and therefore, a sign of how much of a bad game Magic: The Gathering is and how problematically exploitative it was. I see you passing off the high cost of a bad format as a proof of Magic: The Gathering's tournament scene being inaccessible.
In that article, you said that Legacy was a 'financially rewarding' tournament environment and all I could think is are you kidding me and my balls. There is going to be one Magicfest in 2019 that's Legacy. There were four Limited Magicfests in February alone. If you fail to get rich playing Legacy, it's not because of the price of Moats, buddy.
Differences of Data
Wizards markets Magic. They want you to think it's cool and buy it. They do this by making the game serve a whole variety of communities, with different axes of art, gameplay, expression and culture. Straight up, I am 100% certain that for all the moral footing of making Magic more inclusive and pushing to get more queer and millenial people into their market, is because there are people in that age range with money.
Yet because Magic is a product on cardboard that has to be mailed around the world, if they want to make art for a card they hope you, specifically, will like, they have to decide that months in advance, pay for the artwork, get it out there, and hope that you find it and hope it makes you want to buy their products. And they have to make that decision knowing that they're putting this stuff out there for a lot of people, and what product they release, even in varied bits, is going to be trying to appeal to a very big audience with a lot of different people in it. They can't make the game display Tity Witches for one player and make it show Tity Witches Waving Flags Saying Trans Rights for another.
Meanwhile, Gacha games weaponise the data gathering of your phone.
This isn't a controversial issue, by the way. This isn't some secret sleazy practice that some companies do, but the majority of Gacha game makers think, no, we are noble and honourable and would never. It is fundamental to these games that run out of your phone that they are absolutely gathering all the data they can on you, and they are setting up algorithms to tailor that game experience to you on your phone so that your version of the game is as psychologically satisfying as possible.
Some of these games go so far as to subtly change the success sound on a Gacha pull until they find the one you'll consistantly listen to all the way through. And why shouldn't they? There's nothing stopping them from doing these intensely creepy things. They're not just selling you an object they've made, they're marketing an experience to you to get you into their platform so you will keep giving them money. It's straight up platform capitalism, and it's so different from the studies that show that 'the moment you open a booster is exciting.'
Now, this is not a fixed point. After all, there's no reason to believe that if Wizards of the Coast could take the thumbprint reactions off your phone to the types of Magic card that you liked best, they wouldn't do that, because they are still a company. But they're trying to make something in a different way, and they can't tailor their product to your unique psychological responses.
Differences of Access
Fact is, if Wizards shut down tomorrow, every single card you own (with the exception of Urza's Head) would work. They would work fine. If they banned your favourite card tomorrow, there is nothing they can do to make you stop using that card.
Because all of this talk about tournament formats and secondary markets is ignoring the single most common Magic format. It's called Casual, and the cards legal in it are 'what I own.'
Players, broadly speaking, play Magic without a central authority, without tournament structures, without net decks, without an eye towards the next stage of the pro tour and without anyone able to stop them. And this is the biggest thing with Magic: The Gathering that sets it apart from Gacha games and why the comparison between Magic and its ludicrous secondary market as a booster purchasing motivator, in that none of those things are necessary to play the game in the vast, vast majority of ways the game is played.
Is any of this to say that Magic: the Gathering is a perfectly moral game system? No, not insofar as it's a capitalist system. It's connected to and rewards Hasbro, who do shady shit, and it's in the same company that makes 5th Edition D&D, which has both uplifted and tried to defend (in the past) the actions of utter monsters (Mike Mearls Retire Binch), even as it now tries to make amends.
Does it reward gambling in children? Not really, I don't think. Even if it does, that's a different conversation, and maybe one we can have. But it's hard to have that conversation when there are these other, much more bullshit conversations happening, like the conversation that wants to compare Magic: The Gathering having a Legacy format and Fate: Grand Order asking you to spend five thousand dollars in a week to get a character wearing a sexy bikini.
Don't worry, if you've made these comparisons. It's okay. This is a topic where there's a lot of complicated things going on, and it's hard to know them all. One commenter on my twitter feed remarked that when it comes to Magic it's either a topic you know nothing about or something you have a mini-PhD on, and yeah, I guess that's where I'm coming at this from.
This isn't even the thing that pisses me off the most about the conversation around Magic: the Gathering.
After all, some business assholes have taken to comparing Magic: The Gathering to bitcoin.

I tried the new Y’s mobage.  It wasn’t what I expected.
I actually didn’t know much about it, just signing up to be notified when available since it’s Y’s, and old school jRPG from Falcom.  I know most franchises don’t really handle the jump to mobile well, but I was expecting the game to at least be a typical franchise gacha.
It’s instead an auto-pather MMO. A very, very cash-heavy auto-pather MMO.
If you’d played an auto-pather MMO on mobile, you’ve pretty much played them all.  You press a button and the game does most of the work for you. This one is no different.  The game strongly reminds me of Ragnarok Origins in terms of what it offers and how it plays.  That’s not a good comparison.
In the Y’s mobage, the game is constantly throwing cash ads at you. I can already tell there’ll be a huge gap between those who spend and those who don’t, especially since the currency you earn in-game cannot be used on ‘cash only’ items, which includes a plethora of things, including the game’s gacha.  (You can’t even open a guild without paying and you don’t get refunded if you can’t get at least 10 people to join in 24 hours LOL.)
Yup, you want to roll the gacha, you have to actually pony up.
There’s VIP and battle passes and deals and what not, but I’ve been around the block a few times and there’s only a few games I ‘tryhard’ in, so I just ignored all that. What actually got me to uninstall was 1) so many modes and events are time-gated (including ones you need to do to finish dailies!) and 2) so many modes and events force you to party up and that’s an instant deal-breaker right there.
The game itself doesn’t really offer anything much.  There are only four classes, all gender-locked (in the year 2022, what the hell) and while the environments are nice, the character models are fairly plain compared to the lovely 2D artwork.  (Probably to make it easier for the costumes they’re selling.)  No customization options for your player character either—except the costumes they’re selling.
There are a lot of things to do a launch; so much so that I just let the auto-pather do it its thing while I kept trying to keep the red dot at bay.  Unfortunately because it’s auto-pathing, a lot of it just zips by you without context. Why am I going to this NPC? I dunno. But i did get some freebies and EXP out of it, so okay!  I think this is my biggest issue with auto-pathing games; yes, I know it’s optional, but these games don’t make it easy to navigate or handle without the auto-pathing, so you’re stuck with it.
I do like how you can freely upgrade any gear you get since the upgrade levels are ‘universal’ no matter the piece and that upgrading your cards (which socket into your gear, ala RO) can sorta be risk-free since if you get a better rarity card, you can dismantle the old one to get all your materials back (in most cases).  This is handy to help players progress, since you’re not stuck hoarding materials in hopes of getting a good drop versus ‘wasting’ them on low tier gear.
The UI is a mess and I’m not sure it was made with mobile i mind, since so much of it is tiny or just... IN THE WAY. In the huge server boss battles, it was impossible to even see the fucking boss or the attack indicators because the game mapped all player names on the screen, even when put on the lowest setting.  That’s not even with global announcements taking place in the middle of your screen during the action, covering up vital text that you, yourself, need to read.
The chat box is miniscule, which... fine, I hate chat in mobages, but in an MMO where so many modes require team play, I had it open to see if my team was saying things during parties, and my vision went blurry trying to parse text.  I use a S20 FE, which isn’t a TINY phone, but it’s a long phone, so everything was just really unpleasant in terms of GUI.
Also why do you put the movement wheel right above the button that opens the lower menu, which makes the movement wheel disappear, cause oh my god how many times did I fatfinger one over the other AND I DON’T EVEN HAVE FAT FINGERS.
Battles are also... oddly quiet? There’s no hit confirm when your character attacks, except with some specials where they do a vocal line.  Monsters also don’t have much SFX. I’m not sure if there’s music? I barely heard it.  It made battles feel very floaty...
I honestly can’t tell you much about the story?  But your player character does talk (a lot, like, actual voice lines with a voice actor) and the game does have a few modes for you to raise affection points with NPCs and get to know them better.
There is a marriage system and the language describing what’s necessary makes it sound like they do same-sex, so that’s a plus if true.
I gave the game about five hours of my life and then uninstalled.  Bit of a disappointment for being a generic MMO instead of a generic gacha.
If you’re a Y’s fan, I don’t think it’d be able to offer you anything.  If you like auto-pathing MMOs, the game does offer a lot of busy work.  But overall I feel it’s a skip.

Kingdom Headline, December 2023: The Holiday Express
It turns out that Icicle Yeti’s Winter Song was primarily filler, but that’s Meringue’s opinion on the matter and part of the reason why he requested to start studio renovations for the next month or so through the holidays. But no matter, we’ve still got matters to attend to, whether we post here or not. Perhaps this part will be slightly more interesting. Merry Cookiemas!
Perceived Duration: 12/13 - 1/4

2023 Cookie of the Year
Jolly Daily Gifts
Board of Mysteries - Meet Linzer Cookie! (Random Board Event)
The Great Leap - Level Up Your Kingdom!
2023 Kingdom of the Year

Tower of Sweet Chaos: Final Season (12/18 - 1/18): This mode and all associated events, packages, and rewards will disappear for a rework after this season ends.

✒️ Linzer Cookie (Epic Cookie) ⏫️
A mystery writer who can cast a growing Suspect debuff as she gains Deduction stacks instead of attacking. The Suspect debuff can override debuff immunity (IE what Madeline and Caramel Arrow have with their skills). Meet her through the Board of Mysteries event. She can still appear in the Gacha as normal.
🏜️🧀 Burnt Cheese Cookie (Epic Cookie) ✊
The Gatekeeper of the Golden Paradise. Deals Earth damage that can stun enemies and provides a powerful buff to the highest ATK Cookie, which includes DMG Focus, Debuff Immunity, and Curse Protection. Has several bonus passives when Golden Cheese Cookie is on the same team. His Soulstones are now available in the Mileage Shop.

Increased Kingdom EXP rewards for World Exploration, Daily Bounties, Tropical Soda Islands, Balloon Expeditions, Tree of Wishes, and Producing Goods
Added 2.5x speed for World Exploration and Special Episodes after reaching Kingdom level 15
Holiday Express
A mystery is afoot on this holiday train, and Linzer Cookie is keen on solving it with other Cookies such as Crème Brûlée Cookie. Unfortunately… there is a hard paywall here. Without an upgraded Story or First Class ticket, you’ll have to wait for Chapters to unlock. To view the epilogue and get a commemorative photo, you’ll have to buy the First Class ticket. Each ticket, including your free Gift Ticket, also has chapter completion rewards that you can claim for your ticket and anything below it.
Gift Ticket: Free, unlocks chapters every few days
Story Ticket: $11.99 USD, unlocks all chapters immediately, gives the Holiday Preparations Train design, and enables extra rewards
First Class Ticket: $15.99 USD, has all the benefits of the Story Ticket, even more rewards including 50 of Linzer Cookie’s Soulstones, the Happy Holidays Train design, a commemorative picture, and the ability to watch the Epilogue. WHY LOCK THE EPILOGUE BEHIND THIS.
Chapter 1 (Open immediately)
Chapter 2 (Open 12/14)
Chapter 3 (Open 12/16)
Chapter 4 (Open 12/19)
Chapter 5 (Open 12/22)
Event Achievements - Unlockable tasks with bonus rewards. You can only see the tasks after the associated stage is open. Until then… it’s a mystery.
The real mystery, however, is why Devsisters thought it was a good idea to put the Epilogue behind something that’s $16. All it takes is one buyer and a YouTube channel to circumvent this idea anyway. Unfortunately, Editor Meringue is NOT that buyer. The price is too steep for him.

Princess Connect! Re: Dive Celebrates 1-Year Anniversary with Special Campaigns!
Tumblr media
Heyas, Knights! Do you smell that? Smells like… love is in the air! With Valentine’s Day coming up, we’ve got a sweet suite of romantic characters and events to share with you all, as well as a couple of special campaigns in celebration of our 1-Year Anniversary. How crazy is that? Let’s jump right into our first update newsletter for 2022!
Tumblr media
Rest all fears - your big sister is here, and she’s baked a plethora of sweet treats to indulge in! In tune with the charm of Valentine’s Day, Shizuru is dressed to woo your heart (and your stomach!) in the form of Shizuru (Valentine). She’s baked up a toolkit of support skills to recover HP, TP, and even inflict a physical debuff on your opponents - what can’t big sister do?
As is normally the case with seasonal characters, Shizuru (Valentine) is a limited character, which means that she won’t be added to the main Premium Gacha after her Focus Gacha ends. However, she will be redeemable with character points, so you’ll have a guaranteed avenue to meet your big sister on this special occasion.
The Shizuru (Valentine) Focus Gacha will last for 14 days, from 1/18, 23:00 UTC to 2/1, 22:59 UTC.
Tumblr media
Speaking of special occasions - can you believe it’s nearly been a year since our journeys in Landosol have started? To help celebrate the First Anniversary of Princess Connect! Re: Dive in English, we’re pleased to announce a special First Anniversary Campaign, in the form of the Landosol Cup!
The first time you log in every day during the campaign, you’ll be greeted with four heroines. Pick your heroine of choice from the four and cheer them on as they race to the finish - based on their placement, you’ll receive a number of Jewels, ranging from 500 Jewels for 1st place to 250 Jewels for 4th. It’s free to enter, and you’re guaranteed something out of it every day - what’s not to love?
The PriConne EN First Anniversary Campaign: The Landosol Cup will run for 14 days, from 1/19, 13:00 UTC to 2/2, 12:59 UTC.
Tumblr media
Deck out your guildhouse with new digs to celebrate the First Anniversary. With all the different ongoing campaigns to celebrate, we would be remiss to not make sure the party continues into the guildhouse. Load up on some limited-time furniture during the campaign period and treat your heroines to a whole new guildhouse.
The full list of furniture is as follows:
  1st Anniversary Table
1st Anniversary Side Table
1st Anniversary Music Box
1st Anniversary Monument
1st Anniversary Flower Pole
1st Anniversary Wall
1st Anniversary Flooring
There will also be new permanent special furniture featuring the three heroines from the Gourmet Guild which can also be purchased. Place them down in their stuffed character form and increase the cuteness of your guildhouse by over 500%.
The new furniture will be available for a limited time from 1/22, 23:00 UTC to 2/14, 22:59 UTC.
To continue on with the First Anniversary spirit, we’re bringing back an old favorite - the Double Daily Mission Stamina. Recall that during the campaign period, the stamina normally obtained from daily missions is also being doubled in quantity. This means that when you log in between 2:00 UTC and 12:59 UTC and when you log in between 20:00 UTC and 12:59 UTC, you’ll earn 200 stamina instead of the normal 100 stamina. Make the most of it!
The Double Daily Mission Stamina will run from 1/18, 13:00 UTC to 1/31, 12:59 UTC.
Tumblr media
Ah, love is truly in the air. It’s just not Valentine’s Day without a lot of sweets. Join Shizuru, Eriko, and Rino in a true one-of-a-kind experience. Watch on as Shizuru and Eriko duke it out in the kitchen to make the best sweets to impress the judge(s). Who will take home the prize in the kitchen stadium and whose dish will reign supreme? Find out as Shizuru and Eriko produce their finest expressions of love, fight chocolate monsters, and more!
As with our previous events, this event also features exclusive boss battles, where you can test your skills in varying difficulties: Normal, Hard, and Very Hard. You'll want to prepare yourself for the Very Hard boss, as it can prove to be quite a challenge, and is only clearable once per day. If you were looking for an additional challenge, the Special Difficulty will fill you with delight. Fight through three modes of the boss with different challenges and rewarding rewards along the way.
You’ll need Boss Tickets to earn a shot at defeating the boss, which can be obtained by clearing event stages and from login bonuses while the event is active. If you don’t successfully defeat a boss on your first attempt, you can retry as many times as necessary, and non-lethal damage dealt to a boss will carry over between attempts.
Tumblr media
As with our other events, players will be able to obtain an exclusive free unit in Eriko (Valentine) after defeating the boss on Normal difficulty. Eriko dons her apron to make the perfect Valentine’s Day present. Be ready to receive her gift before time runs out!
Tumblr media
To share the love, we’re also increasing the experience gain rates for completing Event Quests. During the event, clearing Event Quests will give 1.5x times the normal experience, in addition to the normal Mana, items, and Boss Tickets that these quests give out.
The Victory Medal Gacha also makes its joyful return for the event! Clearing event stages, event missions, and defeating the previously mentioned bosses will earn you Victory Medals, which can be exchanged for a plethora of goodies. There’s a predetermined series of reward lineups, each featuring a key reward - once you roll the current lineup’s key reward, you’ll have the opportunity to either reset the rewards and move ahead to the next lineup, or hold off on resetting to clear out all the possible rewards. Here are the key rewards you should look out for!
  Lineup 1: Rino’s Memory Shard x 20
Lineup 2: Eriko (Valentine)’s Memory Shard x 25
Lineup 3: Rino’s Memory Shard x 30
Lineup 4: Eriko (Valentine)’s Memory Shard x 40
Just remember - once you’ve gone through the four initial lineups, you won’t be able to reset the active lineup until you’ve obtained all the possible rewards from the current active lineup.
The Rumble on Valentine's Day! Fight for Your Right to Love story event will be available from 1/18, 23:00 UTC to 2/1, 22:59 UTC.
Tumblr media
New Unique Equipment for more characters will also be available after the latest update. With all the Princess Heart Fragments gained from Tower of Luna and Sanctum Survey, look forward to further powering up your favorite heroines. The following characters will have their Unique Equipment unlocked:
  Akari
Anna
Rino
Yori
Eriko
Shinobu
Jun
Shizuru
Mitsuki
This unique opportunity for new Unique Equipment will be unlocked on 1/22 at 08:00 UTC. Don’t forget to continue collecting those Princess Heart Fragments and character Memory Shards.
Tumblr media
The second half of the Triple Drop Campaign continues through the month of January. We move on to our Hard Quest Triple Drop to help you collect triple equipment, Mana, Memory Shards, and other items when completing Hard Quests during the campaign period.
The Hard Quest Triple Drop Campaign runs for six days, from 1/22, 13:00 UTC to 1/27, 12:59 UTC.
With all the new characters and content dropping you might be looking to stock up on more Mana or EXP potions. Well, have no fear, we’ve got you covered with the Dungeon Double Drop Campaign, where clearing Dungeon floors will give double the usual Mana. With even more Unique Equipment coming out, you’ll want to make sure your stockpiled Mana is ready to go.
The Dungeon Double Drop Campaign runs for 12 days, from 1/27, 13:00 UTC to 2/7, 12:59 UTC.
Tumblr media
For easy reading and accessibility, included below is a summarized version of all the updates announced today. Thank you for all your support, and we hope you continue to enjoy Princess Connect! Re: Dive!

Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad Cheats
Tom Clancy's Elite Squad Guide
Tumblr media
Tom Clancy's Elite Squad guide is a manual for a popular new sport. Finishing all of the goals, including the primary and secondary targets, will provide a wonderful praise to the participant. However, after completing the undertaking, the player's characters will should be handled if there are casualties. Due to this, gamers ought to complete quests with the bottom casualties for you to preserve on the next undertaking. The individual training in this game are many and varied in many different aspects, along with abilities and guns. Gamers can equip each individual with guns purchased from the store or received from loot boxes. This applies to each aspect without exemptions. Online gaming has turn out to be the today's fashion for rest. Although there is a hoard of picks available, we are still not sufficed as we constantly crave for some thing new. Being a commander and leading the elite soldier navy takes us returned to the royal times of kings and queens. Through Tom Clancy's Elite Squad, you can relive the imperial technology every time we play the sport. There are numerous who love villains similarly as heroes. With Tom Clancy's Elite Squad, it's miles a dream come actual for such folks who continually look forward to an opportunity to experience their favorite villains. The game is any other masterstroke from its figure ubisoft entertainment inside the sphere of online gaming. There may be nobody standard revel in for a game creator. I like to awareness more on man or woman improvement. I additionally enjoy playing android video games. We use cookies to make certain that we provide you with the great enjoy on our website. In case you hold to use this web page we are able to expect which you are happy with it. We as humans are by no means glad with what we have and continually look out for some thing new. You then use this squad to take on a selection of modes along with campaign, pvp, and guild-vs-guild battles. We don't want to name it tom clancy gacha, but it's kind of tom clancy gacha. Every of the characters you recruit also have their own skills, gear, and weaponry, in addition to a star score machine, and schooling ranges. This means, now not best do you want to liberate and equip the nice gear for each unit, but you also want to educate and acquire shards of each man or woman in order to cause them to greater effective. The sport has plenty of content material, and once you've been plugging away on the campaign for a couple of hours you'll be able to enjoy each day objectives, event missions, area pvp, be a part of a guild, and more, all with new gameplay possibilities. These games are designed to give you a laundry listing of responsibilities to do each day, and i may not lie, it does sense pleasant to log in and make a bit little bit of instant progress each day. That is best. Making development, powering up your team, getting new tools, and new infantrymen all feels good and pleasing, and while it's satisfactory to conquer the ones missions you have been struggling on, it still feels hollow, because you experience so disconnected. To live up to date with the modern cell gaming courses, information, and opinions, follow pocket processes on twitter. Sam commenced cell games journalism in 2016. beginning as a group of workers writer for steel media, he has given that written for pocket gamer, gamezebo, and acted as editor of droid gamers. Tom Clancy's Elite Squad, a loose-to-play military rpg coming to cellular devices, we could fans bring together a strike team from across multiple tom clancy's franchises - along with splinter cell, ghost recon, rainbow six siege, and the division - and command them towards other squads in real-time tactical firefights. I love the tactical gameplay of tom clancy video games and got the impression from the advertising and marketing that this would be an xcom-like cover-based totally strategy game. When i ultimately were given to play it, i realized that i were terribly deceived. Once you start a mission, there are handiest movements you can take during combat, referred to as "fight orders" if i recollect effectively, which you choose prior to the venture. These consist of factors like air moves and shields. Aside from that, you haven't any manage over the course of the warfare and no manage over your squad. You have to rely upon your air strike attack to take down experts (seeing that they are more likely to heal their allies and make the cutting-edge conflict closing even longer) and executives. You may always need to clear each campaign undertaking as fast as possible together with your whole birthday party intact so you can farm the ones missions soon after thru the auto-win mechanic (greater on that later). You'll be capable of do that on every occasion in case you frequently rely upon the combat order mixture we suggested right here. This sport will expand an independent plot for those characters and make themselves break away the original video games. Dappervolk Quests - What We Know
None of this is 100% certain. The information was gathered from my time in Alpha and from various streams and Discord, but everything is subject to change. There are no storyline spoilers (sorry for the big gray boxes covering up the juicy info), only an explanation of how the Quests feature works on site.
Quests will come from NPCs. Most NPCs will have their own storyline and quests, but you won’t personally be able to complete all of them.
In some cases, you’ll only be able to choose to interact with 1 NPC out of a handful of them, thus being locked into a certain path and locked out of others. In other cases, the choices you make can determine if a certain NPC quest path is locked out for you (such as the dialogue/action you chose is something they didn’t like). And in other cases, you will unlock a certain NPC and complete their quest path regardless.
Quests will appear at the top of the site in the header so your Avatar has a direct conversation with the NPC (imgs 1,2).
Ways to complete the NPC quests vary. You could be required to bring them an item(s), raise your stats, or other various tasks. In some cases you need to have a certain amount of a certain stat to even interact with the NPC.
Completing NPC quest paths will usually result in them opening their chance/gacha shop to you. The gacha shops include an item that hatches into a pet, clothing that looks similar to the NPC, and various rare items (Custom Pet Creator, etc) (imgs 3,4).
It will also unlock their daily quests, if they have any. Daily quests are typically repeatable 5x per day and usually award potatoes (site currency) or stat boosts. Daily quests could include playing a minigame, posting on the forums, or other tasks.
You can only access the NPC’s daily quests / chance shop if you’re currently in the town they’re in. For example, if you’re currently in Louise Hill and the NPC is in 3’s Forest, you won’t be able to visit their shop or do their daily quests.
