'tis HOLI, 2k24!
26 MARCH 2024
I recall how thrilling festivals used to be in those days. "Those days" refers to the period before I turned 20.
This month, known as Faagun, brings us the liveliest celebration of the year, known as HOLI. To be honest, I hope no more gulal on my way till the next Holi because I celebrated Holi for the fourth time this month on March 25.😁
Speaking for myself, I was let down; unlike the beginning of the month, this time around, Holi didn't leave an impression on me. I'm studying for my master's degree in Lucknow. As the holidays got underway, I left for Varanasi, my hometown. I was really looking forward to the bustle and preparation that the market would bring.
Pitaji ordered me to dress in my old clothes because we were going shopping for Holi together, as we normally do. It is customary to do this. And as soon as I entered the market, I noticed that there were no colors in the surroundings—only darkness. I came to realize that things have changed. I remained shut as few part of the festival was yet to discover; when I went to my neighbors, I didn't find any gujhiya-making ceremonies. That sensation, that thrill, had disappeared. Moreover, I discovered that my mother has made less gujhiyas. The fading craze is the cause I found behind this stillness. People are moving away from their traditions as a result of advancements, which some refer to as conservatism. While we experimented with colors, clicking came first, to get aesthetic picture was the priority.
There were fewer organized Holi Milan Samaroh. The fact that they weren't sober is what most disappointed me. Does Holi occur for alcohol consumption? not at all! Adequate amount of alcohol consumption is sufficient to enjoy the festival without getting too wasted and endangering the safety of children and women, which could perhaps lead to a sprawl-brawl situation.
However, I noticed that instead of savoring the moment, 3/4 of the public was more interested in using their phones or going live on various social media platforms. This demonstrates our ignorance of our own civilization. More individuals played digital Holi this time around than actual colors, which were only in grams. Real colors were twenty grams, and digital colors were in Instagram. Every Rangotsav event, in my opinion, need to include an infotainment subprogram to raise awareness about the proper use of color in the surroundings. Perhaps most importantly, events ought to inform the public about the festival.
I glanced in both directions, and the scene that thrilled me the most was when an elderly woman took gulal and sprayed her husband with it. She then led him to their group, where around seven or eight elderly people were dancing and enjoying their thandai. 💕
People of my age did not enjoy Holi as much as group of kids and elderly audience did. While we are all educated, we are not socially literate. I think that as time goes on, young people like us will also come to appreciate the significance of the "not-so-cool world." It's critical to comprehend the concept of "parity" in both real life and textbooks. The reason that I discovered why young people are not interested is because of their daily life problems which have annoyed them. Almost every middle-aged heart found scrambling… NEVERMIND, I'm looking for more reasons, hope my bachelor in Psychology will come in handy!!!.
And I anticipate the fest-related frenzy and excitement.

Uff Yeh Love Hai Mushkil 20th June 2025 Written Update: Yug 2.0 Rises

Uff Yeh Love Hai Mushkil 20th June 2025 Written Update: Yug 2.0 Rises. Uff Yeh Love Hai Mushkil: Yug 2.0 Rises, Kairi Gets Arrested (Almost), and Biscuit Finds Trouble Instead of Snacks In an episode bursting with courtroom nostalgia, family melodrama, and a full-blown whodunit, Uff Yeh Love Hai Mushkil gave fans a heavy dose of drama with a side of unnecessary arrests. Yug’s Comeback Plot: From Court Ban to Mayor’s Pet Project We begin with Yug — still licking his wounds from being banned in Lucknow court — sharing daal chawal and destiny with Sukesh. Sukesh, the eternal career counselor, drops a life-changing opportunity in his lap: "Fight the Mayor’s case, and your dream of becoming a judge might just come true." Because who needs reputation when you’ve got ambition, right? Mayor-ji enters the scene with a scandalous request: He wants to sue his own Bahu. (Yes, Indian TV is not shy with family politics.) Bonus twist? The Bahu’s lawyer is none other than Vikram Malhotra — Yug’s old courtroom nemesis who once humiliated him over the Lata case. But fear not, Yug 2.0 is here, ready to bury the past and bring down Vikram... again. Meanwhile, in a Separate Serial Called "Kairi aur Chor Kaun?" Elsewhere, Kairi is fighting her own war zone. She gets caught snooping for documents, and Shaurya — clearly allergic to chill — calls the police. Kairi insists she’s just trying to help Samay get his birth certificate, but Samay isn’t buying it. Biscuit, ever loyal, tells her to stop wasting her generosity on men who don’t deserve it (he’s not wrong). But just as Kairi tries to catch a breath, boom — she gets a threatening call from Kundan Sharma pretending to be Shalu didi. The man’s filing a case against her, and the notice is coming... couriered by karma. Trust Issues, Pocket Searches & Rice-Box Receipts Now begins the Sherlock Holmes cosplay. Shaurya starts pointing fingers faster than an Indian auntie at a wedding. Everyone becomes a suspect, and even Imarti gets involved in pocket-checking duties. Enter Tarazu — the unexpected comic relief-slash-cash carrier — who suddenly remembers he stuffed a bank receipt in a rice container. As one does. He’s nervous, chaotic, but miraculously pulls out the proof like a magician pulling a rabbit from a grain sack. Tarazu thanks Kairi for her blind trust, and just as things calm down... Sloke decides to blame everyone. From Biscuit to Imarti, even Gujhiya gets thrown under the bus while she's half-asleep. The poor girl can’t remember what she had for dinner, let alone what theft happened. Kalava Se Kalesh: Biscuit & Kairi Almost Get Framed And then comes the dumbest piece of “evidence” ever: a kalava (holy red thread). Sloke swears he saw it on Biscuit’s hand and decides that this, combined with Kairi’s inky fingers, is enough to convict them. The police arrive. Shaurya, who’s clearly auditioning for CID, declares them guilty. Biscuit and Kairi are nearly dragged off to jail — until Yug walks in with his courtroom swag. He shuts everyone up and reminds the cops that without an FIR, they can’t arrest anyone. Shaurya’s ego deflates faster than a popped balloon, and the police exit, probably as confused as the audience. Yug The Savior... But Make It Grumpy Yug becomes the surprise savior of the night, and Biscuit’s in disbelief. Samay, ever jealous, mutters that Yug Bhaiya has gone soft. Kairi tries to thank Yug, but he just shoos everyone off like an annoyed teacher after detention. She sweetly says goodnight; he goes back to brooding. Ah, romance. Uff Yeh Love Hai Mushkil 20th June 2025 Precap Alert: Yug gives Kairi a 10-day deadline. For what? Love? Redemption? Packing her bags? We don’t know. But he receives a mysterious bouquet — probably not from Biscuit. Read the full article

Gujhiya/Pudukiya/Perakiya 🥟 Gujiya is a delicious sweet dumpling prepared during the festivals like Holi and Diwali in India. It is known as “Karanji” in Maharashtra, “Ghughra” in Gujarat and “Gujjia” in Rajasthan and North India It is made with slightly different stuffings/fillings in different regions of India. It has a crispy and flaky outer layer of maida and sweet stuffing of khoya(mawa), dry coconut, dry-fruits, cardamom powder and sugar. To give the shape to gujiyas, specific type of mould is used nowadays. If you don’t have the mould, don’t worry because you can also shape it easily without using the mould. Uff Yeh Love Hai Mushkil 19th June 2025 Written Update: Kairi's Secret Heist Backfires

Uff Yeh Love Hai Mushkil19th June 2025 Written Update: Kairi's Secret Heist Backfires, Shlok Breaks Down, and Yug’s Vanity Steals the Scene. The episode kicks off with a sharp exchange of taunts between Yug and Kairi, who clearly aren’t interested in letting their mutual irritation rest. Yug can’t help but jab at Kairi with his usual smugness, and Kairi, never one to stay silent, dishes it right back. Their verbal sparring escalates until Maeri intervenes, trying to douse the flames before the whole house hears the drama. Kairi plays it cool, claiming Yug isn’t arguing at all and oddly praises him for being a good man who looks after his brothers — perhaps a stretch, but she’s trying diplomacy. In a rare moment of domestic calm, Kairi presents a foot cream for Maeri, who insists Yug should apply it. Yug, thinking he's just won some moral lottery, accepts his “reward” and preps himself to pamper Maeri’s feet. Honestly, the smugness on his face during this scene could use its own zip code. Meanwhile, Kairi is dealing with a storm that Yug and his hair products wouldn’t survive. She breaks down in private, worried about her stepfather's return from jail. She confides in Biscuit that he threatened to take her siblings away — and with no real power to stop him legally, her desperation begins to cloud her judgment. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Kairi plans to steal Shlok’s documents from Yug’s locker to resolve Shlok’s passport issue. Biscuit, bless his honest little heart, advises against this criminal venture, but Kairi’s already mentally halfway inside the locker. Biscuit storms off, disappointed and worried, while Kairi prepares to go full Mission Impossible on Yug’s room. On the other end, Shlok is having a meltdown of his own. He makes a call to Khurana, hoping for some update about going to London, only to learn from Khurana’s wife that the man is now in jail. Apparently, Shlok paid him a hefty amount for the visa process, but that money is clearly floating in scamland now. His dreams crumble as he violently trashes his room in frustration. Shaurya and Samay arrive and try to console him, but the damage is done. Shlok is heartbroken and ashamed, especially after admitting he sold his phone to make the payment. Shaurya steps up, offering emotional support and a vague promise to fix the situation — classic "big brother with zero plan" energy. Elsewhere, Tarazu is caught in his own financial quicksand, struggling to arrange ₹30,000 for house repairs. At this point, nearly every character is either broke, angry, or both. Back at Yug’s room, Kairi sneaks in with the stealth of a clumsy cat burglar. She rifles through his absurd collection of hair products — honestly, it’s like raiding a salon. She’s looking for the locker key and ends up finding it tucked inside a box. Just as she’s about to open the locker, she hears Yug’s voice. The man’s back — and he’s ready for a wardrobe change. Panicked, Kairi hides in the room, forced to watch Yug go through his grooming ritual. He removes his shirt, and we get a glimpse of his tattoo — something Kairi can’t unsee and quickly mocks in her head. She stifles a laugh while he poses in front of the mirror like he's prepping for a shampoo commercial. After he finally leaves, Kairi bursts out laughing. Honestly, if she wasn’t in the middle of committing theft, this would’ve been comedy gold. With Yug gone, she resumes her search. But as fate would have it, she hears a crash and rushes to check it out, only to trip and land herself in even deeper trouble. Meanwhile, Gujhiya catches a suspicious man in the alley but loses him. Kairi, too, sees the intruder and runs after him. Soon, everyone gathers upon hearing the noise, and Gujhiya is nowhere to be found. Imarti panics. Shlok and Shaurya arrive and learn there’s been a break-in. Kairi tries to explain that she saw the thief, but her word doesn’t hold much weight — especially when Shaurya finds ink on the drawer and the same ink on Kairi’s hands. Awkward. Suspicion starts swirling like a storm cloud over Kairi’s head. She may have had noble intentions, but now she’s the prime suspect in a botched robbery. Shaurya isn’t buying her story, and Biscuit, who knows part of the truth, stays quiet to protect her. In the preview for the next episode, we see Yug readying himself to take on Kairi’s case legally — which is equal parts ironic and dramatic, considering she was just trying to rob him. Kairi, meanwhile, is seen heading to jail, her sacrifice about to become a public affair. The episode effectively balanced comedy, chaos, and emotional tension, though Kairi's impulsive choices and Yug’s vanity made for an oddly entertaining contrast. While everyone is either crying over lost dreams, broken trust, or house repairs, Yug is busy admiring his hair and tattoo in the mirror. Priorities, folks. With Kairi now facing serious allegations and Shlok's hopes crushed, the show is setting the stage for a heavy emotional fallout. Whether Yug can actually help her or just make things worse with his overconfidence is something only tomorrow’s episode can tell. Stay tuned, because things are about to get legally messy.
