Gunhounds are a rather diverse paraphyletic clade of caniform biological constructs derived predominately from Canis familiaris. This had me trying to remember the name of a similar looking game on PSP (It was Gunhound Ex) And my searches lead me to find the game above, Night Slave for the PC-98.

The game looks good but it also got me exploring the PC-98 Aesthetic.

A modern day take on the run and gun gameplay from Cybernator. GUNHOUND EX is a enhanced edition of the 2009 PC release, although with so little on the original PC release, it's hard to tell what has been changed or added. It's fast, furious and fun, control a mech and gun down pretty much everything in sight.

Story wise it's your standard sort of military affair with two sides going to war, in this case fighting over a new resource called neutron polymer. Cutscenes do drag on a bit, but gameplay is fairly varied with different missions having different objectives, the first mission has you storming and enemy base. While the second see you protecting a ferry and its cargo. With each stage featuring a huge end of level robot mech to fight.

"Well that doesn't seem very angelic," he says, cheerful, and proceeds to sit smack-dab in the middle of the circle, Sallie House style.

Ryan is still screaming how they were all just SITTING THERE 10 MINUTES AGO WHAT THE FUCK.
