I feel like this is an odd issue to have, but I have a drastically harder time working with and understand GitHub than I do GitLab

Thanks for the reference @sapphim (and thanks again for helping me with those DA2 DLC files a few months ago!).
Lowkey I do have the dialogues and I’ve been able to stitch them back together. In fact – I’ve done this for Dragon Age: Inquisition as well haha.
I haven’t had a chance to redo the front end but here’s part of the list of files I’ve extracted for DA2:

And here’s an example dialogue file (excuse the poor formatting):

The idea is, there are 3 ways of searching:
1. Full Text Search – this uses the game’s tlk files and, if it’s known dialogue or codex text, links to the full entry
2. Advanced search – can customize which game you are interested in searching, as well as if you want to search for a term *only* in codex entries or *only* in dialogue files
3. Speaker Search – looks for all lines of dialogue spoken by a given speaker.
Here’s Advanced Search:

As you can see, I need to add an additional parameter for an “exact” match.
If you click on the first link it takes you to that line of the corresponding dialogue file.

Tbh, I translated the speaker names from their original format (usually they are  something like ‘fade_hawke_m_1′ or ‘cory_final_battle’) via a very basic script, so I’m not too sure why this is saying “Corypheus” spoke the line when it’s the Nightmare, and I am sure there’s more examples where Speaker Names did not translate perfectly.
So, it’s still a bit of a WIP – the MVP (minimal viable product) here is going to be essentially this but cleaned up (currently dealing with some bugs and other things), and then I will fine tune things later (as in, after I make the site publically accessible), hopefully finding time to add in the conditions for certain lines of dialogue to play, dialogue wheel text options, etc. I have a lot of other stuff going on, but I love the idea of this project so much I am committed to finishing it as soon as I can! Hopefully very soon xx
I’ve moved the repo from Github to GitLab for their CI/CD. I think you/the public can check it out here.
I actually find creating tickets super helpful for myself, so curious people can look at what I’m currently working on by checking out the “in progress” tickets, here.
Probably super rudimentary stuff to anyone who does DevOps, but, uh, “need a pipeline that works” is about all I can say when it comes to CI/CD.
hi, i love the toolset from origins because it helps me with writing and the quotes and dialogue trees, but i was wondering if there is one for da2? (especially considering there's not like dialogue history thing in the journal like origins) i looked at your modding tools page and saw the alpha da2 toolset, but when i installed it, it just never opened so i was wondering if you know of any other things just to get the dialogue trees, i'm not too bothered about any other aspects :) thank youu xx
I don’t know of anything else at present. While maybe not quite what you’re looking for wrt actual dialogue trees, I do know that @planesofduality is working on expanding their Dragon Age Compendium to include DA2!
