One very minor thing I’ve observed is that there are several different things in Etrian Odyssey Untold and 2 Untold that are named “Evil Eye”:

There’s the Hexer skill of course, which exists in both games and inflicts Fear.

There’s the enemy skill in the first Untold, which inflicts Curse.

And there’s the FOE in 2 Untold.

I’ve nothing else to say, really. Lots of Evil Eyes in the Untolds. I’m sure there are many more to be found in other EO games.

lol when fukuzawa (who refused to go to war himself) took yosano, she was given a chance to escape war and use her ability for herself whereas when fukuchi (who by his own words was reborn on the battlefield - the version of him existing prior to it doesnt exist anymore) finds a child who only ever lived in battle, he keeps her as a soldier, forever following orders, forever a weapon, never a child.
