The adventures of pining Henry continue. I'm finishing the first chapter soon but I don't know when I'm going to start posting. I'm also starting to ✨ self doubt✨ the story hahan't

But well, here goes what I've been working on!

The oven finally turns on and Alex cheers happily, then turns to Henry, leaning on the kitchen counter. “This isn’t how I planned to cook for you.” He starts explaining, unprompted. “You were supposed to come over and I was going to make something more elaborate than a chicken pot pie, but you’re in luck! My oven won’t fucking turn on and my chicken pot pie is amazing anyway.” Alex speaks and David sits next to his legs looking up at him, waiting for scraps of food, not used to the smell of home-cooked meals in this kitchen except for the rare times Pez comes for dinner and decides he wants to cook for them. His dog isn’t very tempted by whatever he cooks. If he can call what he does in the kitchen that.  “You really don’t have to, Alex. You can just use my oven. I don’t need anything in return.” “Sweetheart,” Alex says pointedly and Henry has to lock away deep in his mind how the pet name sounds in his accent and directed towards him before he does something stupid. “I rarely do anything because I have to.” He slides down to sit on the kitchen floor with David who quickly comes over to give him kisses and demand some pets. Obviously Alex obliges happily. “I want to, really.” He adds genuinely.

Hey chipmunk friend! No problem!

First off - all prompts are active for two weeks, which means that you will usually have two prompts to choose from. (Right now, those two are "your MC/their LI's dynamic" and "How Things Went Wrong (feat. the Arcana familiars). I hope there wasn't too much confusion there!

About what the prompts mean - the goal is for them to be open ended enough so that creators who work in different styles/media can find an interpretation that works best for them. "How Things Went Wrong (feat. the Arcana familiars)" is fairly comedy leaning - all we know is that one of the familiars was present and involved, and then a mess happened.

There's a lot of ways to do this! If you like incorrect quotes, for example, you could have a conversation including the familiar implying they messed something up! If you like fics, you could have your MC be left unsupervised with their LI's familiar and have a prank backfire. If you like visual media (fanart, sprite edits, etc) you could do a comic strip or make "screenshots" of a familiar getting up to no good. You could do a funny swap where someone gets stuck babysitting a familiar that's not theirs and vastly underestimating them. If you're more of an angst specialist, you could write about the familiar messing up something really important. If you're already working on a project that has this aspect in it, you could share a WIP!

The point is, the prompt is purposefully vague so you can let your creativity shine. This isn't a competition, you're not going to get graded - it's just an opportunity to have fun creating together :)
