The first thing Mitsuya would do would be to get you off the girl, even though it wouldn't be that easy a task.

"Calm down, you don't need to fight because of me." He would say in the calmest possible tone of voice while trying hard to get you away from the girl.

As soon as you were calmer, Mitsuya would teach you a huge moral lesson and he would certainly not approve of your attitude, he would be disappointed in you but at the same time he would understand your situation.

"Don't do that again, I don't want my girl in trouble, are we clear?" He would say hugging you, Mitsuya wouldn't be mad at you even if he wanted to.

Hakkai would probably be a little shocked to see you fighting with another girl because of him, but when he came to his senses, he would get you off the girl.

"Holy shit, I never thought you were so strong, you don't need to break the girl's face because of me, sweetheart." He would say, holding back his laughter and at the same time trying to speak seriously, Hakkai would be in such a state of shock that he wouldn't be able to assimilate things.

"Don't do something like that again, you could have gotten hurt, I worry about you." He wouldn't disapprove of your attitude, but Hakkai wouldn't want to see you fighting again, especially because of him.

Deep down, Yuzuha would be a little proud for having taught you how to fight, despite that fact, at the same time she would worry if you ended up getting hurt.

Yuzuha knows very well how to fend for herself, so she would scold you in a certain way, however, she wouldn't stop allowing you to cause a little chaos.

"That's my girl! But don't do anything like that again, I don't want you in trouble, in fact, you could have gotten hurt." The redhead would say in a tone of irony initially, but, she was serious about how worried she was and also didn't want that situation to occur again.

You sat cross legged on Hakkai's bed as you watched him search for something in the trunk on the far left of his room.

"Here! I've found it" he said holding up an old VH tape.

"If it's a secret and you plan on letting me watch it with you, then why not let me see it now"

"Urgh just wait okay. You're gonna understand when you watch it. Damn (Y/N) why do you have to be such a hard head?" He asked rhetorically with a laugh. You were always so stubborn and that was one of the qualities that Hakkai liked about you, that you would have what you wanted one way or another.

It was on one of your extremely stubborn day that Hakkai had realized that his growing feels for you were in full bloom.

Hakkai had realized shortly after that day, he had to admit to his feelings towards you with his favorite movie Love Letter, which was a story about a young woman who received love letters from her husband at war. He had decided that once the two of you had finished watched it he would present you with his love letter to you.

That was Hakkai's plan.

"Okay fine, since you were so nice to me today; well nice enough to buy me Taiyaki on the way home from school I'll let you keep me in the dark about the movie for now"

At your words Hakkai gave you a closed eye smile, walking towards his room door

"I'm going to go get the VH player so we can watch this bad boy" Hakkai said turning at the door frame giving you another closed eyed smile, as he quickly sped of to collect the items he needed.

You laughed at his actions slightly shaking your head at his cartoonish mannerisms.

You were left alone in the room. You switched positions from cross legged to lay flat on you tummy, arms outstretched above your head as you lazily awaited for Hakkai's return.

You turned your head to his dresser and caught site of the pencil he always used since second year, or well the same brand. You began to recall how he always would ask for that brand type when he forget one at home and slowly you began to think about how you and Hakkai became friends.

Hakkai and you had become friends in your second year, when you had transferred schools. You had sat behind him barely uttering a word until he asked you for a pencil, more specifically a Bic one, and the moment your eyes connected to his you felt a spark and from that day forward you prayed that he would speak to you again.

And sure enough Hakkai began to speak to more and more, eventually the two of you began spending break times with each other, even joining the same clubs to spend more time with each other.

"You know (Y/N), when I first saw you I thought you were a boy" Hakkai said as he ate his dango while the two of you sat on the pavement outside the shop you had purchased the sweet item from.

"Huh" you said looking back at him in confusion.

"Well between you and me, I get really shy around girls so I don't speak to them if you've noticed. But when I saw you I genuinely thought you were a boy, because you always wore pants. It wasn't until I got to know you more that I realized you're a girl" Hakkai said biting into the second delicious dango ball.

"Seriously Hakkai, I sound like a girl and act like one to" you replied to him in utter shock at his confession.

"Well I thought you didn't hit puberty yet, but it's good I didn't think you were a girl otherwise we wouldn't be such great friends now" he said looking down at you.

"Yeah you're right" you said smiling back at him.

You smiled reminiscing on your time spent on Hakkia but quickly your thoughts were interrupted when you felt an extra weight on the bed, but before you could turn around and face Hakkai his hand came covering your mouth.

Your eyes grew wide at his actions unsure of what to do next, you laid still allowing him to have control of what would happen next.

After a moment you felt a pair of soft lips against your neck, causing your muscles to stiffen at the sudden actions.

You were in shock by his actions and never had you thought Hakkai would have the courage to do these things to you, but whatever force motivated him to do this you were grateful for as your muscles slowly started to relax as he continued to kiss up and down your neck.

When Hakkai began kissing your jugular vein you let out an unexpected moan from the kiss, which caused him to attack the spot over and over again.

Yuzuha starred into your eyes briefly after she had confessed, quickly getting up from the bed and bolting out of the room before you could even process what had just happened.

As soon as you heard the door of one room close, Hakkai's door opened again revealing the tall boy holding a VHs player, looking at you oddly.

Hakkai was determined, that the moment the movie would end he would tell you the feelings he had been keeping in for what seemed an eternity.

Hakkai stood in the kitchen VHs player I'm hand, going over the line he prepared to tell you once the two of you would watch the love letter.

So without another thought he speedily walked back to his room. Swinging his door open.

The moment he had opened the door he was faced with you splayed on the bed, your hair a mess, your lips slightly parted as you took deep shallow breathes and your eyes blown out. Hakkai's heart began beating as if it would burst and without even realizing the words he kept for later slipped out.

A soft smile makes its way to her face as she watches her boyfriend do one of the few things he knows how to do best, and that is looking way too good in whatever clothes Mitsyua designed for him and his build. Every stitch and seam is crafted to perfection to not only show how tall he is but to compliment everything hidden under. Y/n felt a pair of eyes on her and glanced to her right where Yuzuha shakes her head smiling.

"Stop ogling my brother, you're reminding me how single I am."

This makes Y/n chuckle before leaning towards her friend and attempting to whisper trying not to laugh.

"Would you rather I oggle in silence or start my commentary about how good his clothes would look on the catwalk."

The brunette is quick to turn and smack Y/n's shoulder laughing and telling her she's gross. The pair gets a look from Mitsuya before they stop but not before Yuzaha pinches her arm.

"Cheers to another wonderful fashion week here in Tokyo!"

 Y/n hears a bunch of the models with Hakkai toast to the end of fashion week, whereas Mitsuya, Yuzuha, and she all speak with fellow designers, apprentices/assistants, and agents. She earned many praises for her work alongside Mitsuya and a few glares from fellow assistants who get backhanded compliments.

 "You better be careful Mitsuya-san, I might sweep L/n-chan away when you aren't looking and take her under my wing."

"L/n-chan, how much would it be to get you to come work for me?"

"L/n-chan, why don't you come work for bigger names in the designer industry?"

Some jokes, some kind of serious, and they all got the same answer.

"I'm sorry but nothing could tempt me to leave my position at Mitsuya-san's boutique. My best friend had a vision and I wanted to help support and see him reach his dream. And I intend on continuing down this path."

"Oh, and what's your dream L/n-chan?"

She noticed a few eyes soon migrate their way before responding.

"My dream is to continue making clothes at the side of my close friend. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go mingle elsewhere."

she beamed as she turned away to make her way towards where all the models have seemed to conjoin. She heard some laughter along some conversations, but one, in particular, caught her interest. She noticed Hakkai leaning slightly to the right away from the model who is seated to his left outright flirting with him.

'Oh that poor thing, he's trying so hard to stay polite but doesn't know how to voice he isn't interested in any of her advancements.'

She chuckled in amusement at the sight before lightly tapping his right shoulder to gain his attention. He quickly turned towards her and visibly relaxes at the fact that she was now present.

"Having fun?"

She snickered as he somewhat scowls at her.

'Oh, he knows I've been watching.'

She thought as she sat on the armrest next to him. He's quick to lean more towards her which doesn't go unnoticed by the model who's been more than flirty.

"Shiba-kun, do you want another drink?"

 She says leaning towards the couple allowing more of her cleavage to show. It doesn't go unnoticed by Y/n how the model has this look behind her eyes that is telling her to back away from Hakkai, but she ignores it when Hakkai glances at her questioning if it's wise to take another drink. They both knew he hadn't really eaten that day to prevent any inflammation in the face and if he drinks just a bit more than what he already has, he'll have to cancel tomorrow's shoot because of inflammation. It wouldn't be major, but enough that it'll be noticeable and Yuzaha will scold him for not being careful.

"I think he will have to kindly decl-"

"Is your last name Shiba?"

The model retorted with a smile through gritted teeth. Y/n sat up just a bit more before responding.

"No, but-"

"Then don't answer when I was clearly not talking to you."

'Oh, she wants to go that route?'

Y/n arched an eyebrow before noticing Hakkai start wrapping his arm around her waist. Now all the models have stopped talking and are watching the stare-down between the model and Y/n. Hakkai is the first to speak up knowing that Y/n has little to no patients for those who act entitled or rude for no reason.

"I've already had 3 drinks tonight, I think I'm okay Hibana-san. Plus Y/n is just looking out for me, I trust her in declining is for a good reason."

"What is she, your mother? You don't need to listen to someone like her Hakkai."

She says laughing as if she said something funny.

'No, but he calls me mommy when I have him begging on his knees.'

Y/n snickered to herself at her own inner monologue before deciding that she'll put the model back in her place. But before she can even start, Hakkai pulls Y/n into his lap and holds her left hand up putting the promise ring he got her on full display. He then holds his right hand up showing the matching ring she'd gotten him. A few gasps are let out and Y/n can feel the heat crawling up her neck as he pulls her flush against his chest. 

"K-kai-"

"Please don't address me by my first name Hibana-san, as we had only met today and only close friends and my girlfriend can use my first name to address me."

The once confident look that adorned the model's face is quick to fade into dismay and embarrassment.

"Girlfriend?!"

Murmuring starts up from the other models who now side-eye the model. Hakkai sighs as he pats Y/n's thigh signaling for her to stand up. As she does, he gets up and wraps his arm around her shoulders protectively before speaking again.

" If you can't respect my girlfriend, consider the collaboration offer declined. I won't listen to anyone speak ill to or about her, especially when she's done nothing but be respectful and nice. Now if you'll excuse us, we will be taking our leave."

He bids his farewells to the other models and pulls Y/n along as they make their way toward Mitsyua and Yuzaha. Y/n glances at Hakkai whose jaw is still slightly tense from telling the model off.

'Aww, I never thought I'd see the day he tells someone off of the opposite sex.'

She thought to herself as he turns to her with a soft smile. Reaching for his face and softly pecking his lips, she sighs and rests her forehead against his. She watched as his cheeks redden and he asks me her the sudden display.

"No reason for your pretty little head to worry about my love."

She states just above a whisper as she notices that same model with her jaw just about on the floor from the corner of her eye.

'That's right, he's mine.'

She beamed before they reach Yuzaha and Mitsyua telling them they're ready to head out. The pair agrees that they're tired and ready to turn in for the night as they had finished saying their farewells also. They all walk out of the building where a bunch of paparazzi camp out waiting to see who they can get pictures of. They're quick to make a dash for the garage before being spotted and leaving for home. Y/n is quick to hop into the driver's seat of her car and Hakkai joins her whereas Yuzaha and Mitsuya take her car back to the Shiba household. Once they make it out of the parking structure and out of the eyes of any vultures, Y/n decides to have a little fun of her own.

"You know 'Kai, I never thought I'd see the day where you would stand up to a girl besides your sister."

He turns her way as she put her hand out for him. Interlacing his fingers in her own, she pulls his hand close to her face and kisses the back of his hand. From the corner of her eye, she can see the tip of his ear flushed as he looks down at his lap.

"And may I add how much it turned me on to see you so protective of me. I gotta say, I'm proud of you for finding your voice love."

The corner of her mouth tugs into a smirk as Hakkai stampers out that it was nothing. Pulling up to a yellow soon to be red light, she's quick to take her seatbelt off. Before Hakkai can question her, she leans over pulling him by his tie into a kiss. She knew it caught him off guard slightly, but he relaxed within seconds and attempts to pull her closer to him. Pulling back slightly, she starts trailing kisses from his jaw to his ear smirking.

"Tell me when the light turns green."

She whispered next to his ear sending shivers throughout his body. Slowly unbuttoning his shirt, she litters his neck and collarbone with hickeys.
