A New Content for Subway Surfers: Hawaii is back after 6 years revisited in 2017. A New Character/Rival named: Hali. and New Board named Rave Rider. Taha’s got new outfit Tropi-Taha coming soon

context: throughout 2023, subway surfers has had these Rival events every few months. they came up with these new mascots to be, like, "rivals" to their original mascots, jake, tricky, fresh, and yutani. they exposit information about the rivals through posts on their instagram page. since the cartoon ended with no sign of a season 2, the rivals are the closest the game has to an actual story. the next rival event will happen next season.

however, they haven't done much with the rivals. i expected the rivals to. i don't know, dislike the core crew? have petty teen drama, which slowly escalates to increasingly dangerous amounts of animosity and vitriol towards each other, which culminates in yutani's dad's diner accidentally blowing up in a street fight turned freak accident? or something? they don't do that. the rivals meet the core crew, then get into some superficial competition against each other with no hard feelings or tension after the fact, and no follow-up (bruno and yutani's robot fight, hali and fresh's dj fight (?), lawrence and tricky in a poem competition). the most interesting thing so far is that lawrence once said "i'd rather stay dead" (emphasis on <i>stay</i>), implying he is an undead creature, like a zombie or something. this, coupled with his prickliness, makes him my favourite of the rivals.

tricky and lawrence's poetry slam thing is likely the rivals' last chance at sparking any substantial conflict, and i doubt anything will come of it. i don't hold it against the subway surfer devs, though. these are mascots for a mobile game that peaked in the 2010s, not fictional characters that play a part in a story. so anyways i am going to write fanfiction about it ✌️😊 i am going to reshuffle a few things and make these teenagers strongly dislike each other 💛🧡
