Hey Tal! I was preparing stuffed jacket potatoes for my family and it made me wonder;
"If each race was given a baked potato (any veriety), what would they stuff it with? (Let's pretend the bosmer is non pact compliant but still likes honoring their roots.)"
Since you'll find potatoes in every other barrel across Tamriel, you can bet that stuffed baked potatoes are probably the most universal dish we know of. Whether you love them or were fed too many of them as a child, there's a baked potato out there for everyone in Tamriel.
Altmer
You know what, the High Elves really have to be fancy about everything. Instead of gutting and filling your regular jumbo jacket potato like literally everybody else, they make large hasselback potatoes and painstakingly insert ingredients between the slots before baking. These laborious (but admittedly delectable) potatoes are usually offered filled with either four cheeses; mozzarella, tomatoes, and pesto; roasted vegetables with tapenade, or pancetta, gruyere, and sausage.
Argonians
Baked potatoes are great for playing a heated game of teeba-hatsei with, much to the rage of many an Argonian parent who had painstakingly made dinner. When they're not being slapped around for a laugh, Argonians eat their baked potatoes by making a well in the centre and crack a hot quail egg in, before topping it with deep fried mealworms or crickets and a bit of lime sambal. Scramble it up and you're good to go!
Bosmer
To every Green Pact-abiding Wood Elf I'm about to sadden with this, I apologise in advance for what I'm about to propose. But imagine a lovely jacket potato stuffed with a good slathering of smoked timber mammoth cheese atop battered thunderbug eggs, smoked bristleback bacon, jalapeño mayo, and sweetgnat butter. I don't need to imagine it; I made one with my friend Berrilyn, and it was glorious. Definitely on the heavy side, but loaded with every good ingredient Valenwood has to offer!
Bretons
Cheap, filling, and delicious. That's all a baked potato needs to be in High Rock, making it one of the Province's most popular foods among the common folk. Just about every sauce-based dish you can think of can go onto a jacket potato, from melted roquefort, goose egg, and dry cured ham to the classic combination of tomato beans and candied bacon rashers, and even reusing yesterday's Tarragon Chicken! There aren't really any limits on what you can fill a jacket potato with in High Rock, as long as you have a good knob of butter in there!
Dunmer
While potatoes are a perfectly standard and valid ingredient in Morrowind, I know you all want to hear about jacket ash yams. Popularised by Ashlanders, who bake their potatoes on lava, jacket ash yams can be found at every tavern and cornerclub across the Province. Minced nix-ox in a spicy comberry ragout; scrambled kwama eggs with caramelised scathecraw; and even Hackle-lo and Scuttle Curry are at home on a big, piping lava-hot ash yam. Don't forget to get some crunchy deep-fried kwama scrib to go on top- well worth the gold, I promise!
If you get the hankering for a taste of Morrowind, try my Raven Rock Baked Ash Yams.
Imperials
There are two rules surrounding baked potatoes in Cyrodiil: the potatoes must always be Jumbo Potatoes, and you must always use olive oil instead of butter. With that flavour profile in mind, think simple, complementary toppings like sundried tomatoes with goat cheese and fresh basil; cheese curds and red wine gravy; bresaola, chili oil, and gorgonzola, and browned pine nut butter with a good smear of ricotta and creamed battaglir.
Khajiit
Northern and Southern Elsweyr have a distinct difference in their baked potatoes: the North likes them rich and spicy, while the South prefers sweeter flavours that complement moon sugar. Northern Elsweyr is famous for its fiery curry-filled jacket potatoes, filled to the brim with rich, generally tomato-based curries featuring local ingredients like braised jerboa, pulled terror bird, and diced mutton. Meanwhile in Senchal, you'll find your average baked potato partially filled with things like chicken satay pieces in moon sugar peanut sauce, haloumi with moon sugar syrup, and sweet crispy shrimp and pork floss. But wait, 'partially filled?' Yep! In Southern Elsweyr, the insides of the potato are scooped out and rolled together with powdered moon sugar to make horrifically sweet potato 'candy' for dessert after you've finished your jacket potato. Who am I to judge?
Nords
Mammoth cheese? Horker bacon and smoked kippers? Pulled pheasant in brown ale gravy? All very valid and very traditional Skyrim options. However, I'm jumping up and down at the thought of a baked potato topped with freshly baked salmon or gravlaks with dill, lots of sour cream, and a bit of mustard! Simple, good, and I will shout at anyone who calls this combination bland. You can take the girl out of Riften, but never the Riften out of the girl.
Orcs
Where Wrothgarian Orsimer are concerned, there's a joke that every other meal is a baked potato (and that's sometimes the unfortunate case when a Hearth-Wife isn't very good at her job.) Gooey, mouthwatering echatere cheese raclette is the favoured topping in the region, melted atop of a bed of fillings like spicy wrathberry gravy with echatere or beef chunks; chopped mammoth bratwurst; grilled chub loon with frost mirriam barbecue sauce, and deep fried horker lard bits and sweet-and-spicy minced horker. Indulgent, and by Malacath, they're filling too.
Redguards
Where the Orcs have their echatere cheese on jacket potatoes, Hammerfell loves its goat cheese. Whether it's aged chèvre log slices or fresh and crumbly, you can bet it's going on a baked potato. It's paired with a range of moreish fillings, like harissa and apricot chicken; tender goat mince with a cumin-based curry; battered, fried snake with a tangy and sweet lemon drizzle, and shawarma meat with creamy garlic sauce and caramelised onions.

i love the way you draw the little vessels! something about the small round eyes, the rounded head, and the way you connect the horns (something i struggle with) is very satisfying and cute
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you!
The horns are indeed deceptively hard to draw. It's possibly because it can be difficult keeping them consistent, which is what I personally struggle in. Keep at it, though! The little beans definitely get easier to draw the more you practice drawing them.
(Technically not a request and I apologize for that. This very kind ask did make me smile, which was something I really needed.)

Started a new class and I struggle with focusing unless I doodle during them. Not to mention I’ve had lack of sleep and have issues with my meds so doodling was a must. We see how it starts as feels drawings and goes into random stuff and ends in copying pictures.

I caved and finally made a spidersona after seeing Spiderverse a second time around!
Spider Spike is the friendly, colorful neighborhood Spider Woman of her universe. A dangerous New York that is run by a group of 3 gangs who are at constant war with one another, she works to protect the people and help plot each mafia against one another, earning her the title of Vigilantee in the eyes of the media and a true hero in the eyes of the public.
She has retractable limbs coated in thin spikes that she can fire at will on enemies to stab them with, along with sensitive antennae that are able to pick up sound waves and sense vibrations, incredible agility, strength, and the ability to naturally produce webbing from glands in her wrists and back.
Bonus:

She crawls with her limbs :)

Once again going off to my friend about Modern-ish!Morrowind in which it’s TES universe but there’s some modern irl elements to it, and there’s no Nerevarine prophecy, Servyn is just A Guy living in a shitty one room studio in Balmora working a busboy job at the South Wall Cornerclub, and McJiub’s and fantasy pizza is a thing, with your local Vvardmart selling cheap affordable instant foods like cup goblet and pre-packaged guar ham sandwiches, with frozen food isles (basically cabinets salted with frost salts on a regular basis) where you’d find cheap not-quite-authentic packaged goods of foods from other provinces like Breton style cream cheese puffs or Khajiiti-inspired sweet bean sugar paws...
Most people own dwemer televisions (Servyn’s would be very small like a CRTV) where you’d get general channels like weather and news both local and international (I’d wager the Great Houses run their own seperate news networks that are the more popular ones in Morrowind), but you’d get some fun channels too like cooking channels, some of which specialize in actual cooking, but others in alchemy (like maybe for alchemy they have their own reality tv type shows like instead of Kitchen Nightmares it’s Apothecary Nightmares or something fjdlfjs) You’d also have your usual product advertisements, military ads in the form of Imperial Legion recruitment ads (these only run on multinational shows since the local government in Morrowind would not enjoy those) and TV preachers in which it’s all about the Tribunal (maybe Dagoth has his own channel too, but it’d probably only manage to get on some obscure channel like channel 749 with a single timeslot at 3am...)
I would like to think Servyn would enjoy bundling up in front of his little television with his little pet scrib (which he may or may not be hiding from his landlord) and a hot steamy cup goblet to tune in to an alchemy channel....

What, in your opinion, is the unhealthiest meal of each race? The kinds that give dieticians nightmares.
The unhealthiest meals in Tamriel, eh? I'm secretly a connoisseur of all things salty, greasy, and downright delicious, so loosen that belt and make room for these treats...
Altmer
Greasy food is almost unheard of in Altmer society. Almost. However, fried seaweed in rice batter is a crispy treat beloved by many Altmer, but is eaten in moderation as a snack due to its greasy nature. For a naughty Shimmerene-style treat, a seaweed wrap with gryphon egg mayonnaise, crispy bacon, and mashed avocado is about as unhealthy as Altmeri cuisine can get!
Argonians
While the Argonians eat a healthy diet that's low in fat and sugars, durian pudding is definitely a dessert that goes right to the gut. Fresh, sweet durian is mixed with thick coconut cream, steamed tapioca, and sago pearls. The end result is a staggeringly creamy, rich dessert that you'll struggle to believe is vegan (and still somehow bad for the health).
Bosmer
The Bosmer are gluttons for anything deep fried, or "oil boiled" as they like to call it. The dish that made me pack on a small guar in weight was an entirely oil boiled tower of eggs, meat patties, and cheese, sandwiched between two thick slices of bacon "bread". The entire thing is impaled on a stick, rolled in a salty thunderbug egg batter, and oil boiled until dark brown and oozing lard. Delicious, and absolute murder on the digestion.
Bretons
Did someone say duck fat? The Bretons have an unhealthy obsession with frying everything in duck or goose fat, which gives food a delightfully greasy flavour. Most popular are duck fat potato wedges, which are served with an enormous dollop of extra thick sour cream, bacon, fried duck, melted cheese, and a finishing drizzle of seasoned duck fat for good measure.
Dunmer
Despite multiple warnings about not consuming too many kwama eggs, which are naturally quite fattening, it's impossible to stop the Dunmer from indulging in them. A favourite traditional dish is kwama egg omelette with scuttle and fried scrib, which sounds acceptable but in fact packs your daily dose of salt and fat. However, that won't stop many Dark Elves from enjoying these omelettes at all times of day, especially when washed down with some shein.
Imperials
Seared pork belly that's been wrapped in layers of provolone, sausage, and fatty cured ham is a firm favourite in Imperial City taverns, especially when it's been rolled in breadcrumbs and grilled until crispy. A meat lover's dream, and a healer's despair.
Khajiit
If it wasn't enough that everything is covered in moon sugar, the Khajiit are in love with slurping sweetened condensed milk, straight up or mixed with sweets. Deep fried condensed milk-soaked dumplings that swim in a moon sugar syrup are a popular dessert in Elsweyr, and are admittedly delicious until the moon sugar coma hits.
Nords
There's nothing quite like using sausages and bacon instead of bread when having a good old fondue with Eidar cheese. Eidar is known for being oilier and easier to melt than goat's cheese, and is therefore perfect for fondue if you can handle the smell. While other races tend to eat their fondue with bread, we Nords enjoy smoked sausages, sausage-battered seagull eggs, and thick rinds of bacon to dip into the delicious cheese. Yes, you may feel a little ill if you have too much.
Orcs
Echatere cheese and milk are high in fat, and make the bulk of the filling for cheese pies. Each of these flaky pastries are filled with an oozing cheese sauce, with grilled leek and fried potato, before being finished off with a spicy cheese sauce and deep-fried crispy onions. It's not great for the waistline, but it's any cheese-lover's dream!
Redguards
While Redguard food is seldom unhealthy, you'd probably purse your lips if you saw the donuts stuffed with jelly delights, whipped cream, and ghee fudge that are all the rage in Sentinel. Large, cinnamon donuts are stuffed with confectionary before being fried, and are dusted in honey and powdered sugar to serve. If you're avoiding sugar, this is definitely a dessert you should be running from!
