Hello! Do you have any information on Retired Geiko Kikuyu of Hanafusa okiya (if I am right that is the Okiya)? Maybe reason of retirement, when she retired, when she had her erikae and misedashi, who was her older sister, if she had any imouto's, etc.

Kikuyū (菊夕) of Hanafusa (花ふさ) in Miyagawa Cho debuted on November 4th, 2004 as the imōto of Kikuno (菊乃), also of Hanafusa. She would have her erikae on December 22nd, 2009. She would retire a year later in December 2010 to get married. Since she wasn't a geiko for very long she did not have any imōto ^^

Baikasai 2023

The annual Baikasai Plum Festival will be taking place in SL this weekend! The Baikasai is an outdoor tea ceremony event where the general public can be served tea and confection by geimaiko. It is very lovely and would make a great outing for you and a friend!

There will be three events to satisfy multiple time zones.

May 2019: Maiko Kikusana (Hanafusa Okiya) of Miyagawacho was finally promoted to a senior Maiko this month! She had her Misedashi on the 9th of May of 2016, so she has been around for almost 3 years, but she also debuted at the age of 15, so it makes sense that she was a junior for so long.

Konnichiwa! Watashi no namae wa Junko desu.

As of the 10th of Janurary, 2019 I am a Shikomi at Hanafusa Okiya in Second Life. I’m very excited to start the path of learning in this lifestyle, and I hope that this blog will be a lovely example of my experiences here.

In the future I will post of my learnings and experiences here. Please come visit if you have the time!

I saw that Hanafusa has a new minarai, who is at Hanafusa Okiya? Ive heard rumors that Kikuyu now runs it? I know she married awhile back.

I haven't heard anything about Hanafusa having a minarai. They do have a new maiko in Kikushizu, but she debuted back in February. Former geiko Kikuyu does not run Hanafusa. She is married with children, but is no longer affiliated with Hanafusa ^^

Miyagawacho usually sends five Maiko in kuromontsuki to perform during Setsubun, but this year they sent four: Kikusana, Koen (Shigemori Okiya), Chikasome (Komaya Okiya) and Fukukana (Kawayoshi Okiya).

พฤษภาคม 2562: พัดสำหรับฤดูร้อนที่เขียนชื่อไมโกะเกโกะจากโอกิยะต่างๆ ในเขต Miyagawacho ในจังหวัด Kyoto ได้แก่ ไมโกะ Fukuno, เกโกะ Fukune, ไมโกะ Fukuya, ไมโกะ Fukukana, ไมโกะ Fukuna (โอกิยะ Kawayoshi), เกโกะ Kikutsuru, ไมโกะ Kikuyae, ไมโกะ Kikusana (โอกิยะ Hanafusa), เกโกะ Kanae (โอกิยะ Sugatomi), เกโกะ Fumika, และไมโกะ Fumiyoshi (โอกิยะ Yoshifumi)
