Apparently it was a sewing weekend. I almost finished a shirt for my brother, but I abandoned it today in favour of trying to sew shorts. I even succeeded.

The pattern I used takes into account different body shapes. In my case, it is the extremum where my waist is more than two sizes smaller than my hips at the widest point - meaning I don't own high-waist fitting torusers becuse it is impossible to buy such trousers for me.

I wanted to test the pattern on something easy, so I picked the simplest version+pockets. I used viscose leftovers I had from making a skirt two years ago.

Now I have shorts that fit perfectly at the waist and shorts with pockets big enough to fit a smartphone inside. Purrfect.

Broom-tars. (broom closet altars)

When I first started practicing, I was in the broom closet. And I stayed there for a long time because of various reasons like the lack of safety from my parents at the time regarding my interests and now path in life.

Altars, they aren't needed. I didn't make my first altar until about a month into working with my deity. They also don't need all the gadgets and trinkets most people will tell you they do. Trust me, like with offerings and devotional acts, altars should be about the love and intent you have with your deities.

My first altar consisted of things like:

Random rocks I found and thought were cool.

A bottle of sand that contained tiny, very tiny, little crystals in it and a few big rocks at the top of the bottle.

A few random sticks.

Bits of plants I found growing in my yard.

A devoted plush to the deity.

Candies.

Another bottle for waters, teas, sodas, ect.

A single fake flower I got from my younger siblings room.

A necklace I made for them.

A ring that matched mine.

A 10 dollar bill.

Handmande paintings I hung up around the shelves.

A broken piece of marble.

A fidget toy I used for stimming.

Pokemon cards.

Dominos.

A skeleton dinosaur toy.

Ripped illustrations hung up around the shelves as well from advanced astrology coloring books.

Glass chess pieces.

Random pieces of wood.

A bag of trinkets. (Key, marbles, ect)

All of these are things I either found off the ground, made myself, or got from places like Five-Below or Walmart.

There were a few other things on my first altar I believe, but it was a little difficult to remember half of the stuff I listed, haha. And before I even put up shelves for my deity, I believe the altar consisted of a simple cup where I'd share my drinks or some sort of offering bowl for cookies or some sort of sweets.

Simply put, altars don't need to be fancy, no deity is going to force you to make them an altar, and no deity is going to be disappointed if you're in unsafe conditions to make them one &/or don't have the money to do so. Remember, your relationship with your deity matters more than your altar when starting out, if all you can do is simply read their mythologies, make them playlists, ect, that counts, they'll appreciate the effort & heart you put into it.

(Even just thinking about building them an altar in the future can count as a devotional act, btw!)

i usually use etsy or some online handmande retailer for sweaters and stuff. it's bit pricy, but the quality's typically good and the color is usually the kind im looking for

see etsy is kinda off the table for me cuz the cost of a hand made sweater + etsys INSANE shipping costs + the new dutch non european union items import costs......im not looking to spend 150$ total on a sweater

She’s seen a few of her friends and family get involved in either andshe loved seeing how happy everyone around her was so she wouldn’t mind thatsort of happiness either.Grymes – Not too particular to the idea. She doesn’t really care for people and would rather be with her opossum andraccoon.

🎃 - What is yourcharacter’s favorite holiday?Anastasia – Loves Halloween.  Especially handingout candy to the little kids and seeing all their costumes.Nix – Christmas.  She gets all her birdspresents every year and she’s excited to spend her first Christmas withBenBens.Mali – Valentine’s Day and really just because of the chocolates.Lucille – Easter.  She likes all thepretty pastel colors and the cute bunny décor.Lady Rosaline – She doesn’t care for holidays. It’s just another day for her.Azelio – Christmas and the days leading up to Christmas.  He dresses up as Santa and hands out hishandmande toys to kids in need.Zenia – New Years.  She loves the bigparty and celebration.  She has a big partyevery year with fireworks included.Grymes – Halloween.  She gets to enjoythe spooky things and feels more comfortable leaving the cemetery with her petsfollowing next to her.

🎠 - Your character is atthe carnival.  What kinds of rides orgames do they check out to entertain themselves?Anastasia – When it’s not her own she will stick to the games.  She likes a good little competition and to testher skill (even though she’s not good at knocking down the pins)Nix – She loves the Ferris wheel.  Beingable to see everything either below her or to the horizon fills her with achildlike happiness she never got to really experience.Mali – Fun houses are his top tier favorite. Especially the mirrors.  He couldstand there for a long time just fucking around with them.Lucille – Even though she’s a scaredy cat she has a blast if the carnival has ahaunted house.  She finds it exciting andshe’s giggling by the time she’s leaving the ride.Lady Rosaline – Doesn’t care for carnivals. She only goes to them if she’s going to find someone to test on or ameal.Azelio – He is an expert at the ring toss games and will give the prize he winsto one of the kids who would be playing too.Grymes – Roller coasters of any kind. Big or small, loops or no loops.  Sheloves the adrenaline rush of them.
