Happy Valentines Day 😘

I finished my Eve cosplay just in time! I've wanted to cosplay her for a while, but working with nothing but tiny sprites and one low res image was challenging. In the end though I enjoyed the flexibility her design gave me! There are a few things I might change (like I couldn't get the wig to behave and I could only find one bracelet haha) but it was a fun, comfy cosplay and I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Also shout out to @loving-that-officey-feel, for managing to wrestle some more quality out of my reference image, and @bokujou-monogatari, without whom I would not have my lovely cow ^_^

Drabble Prompt: Fool

Guess the real fool here is me, realizing it was the first day of the month of drabbles I created with @friendofbats at 2am on April 2nd.

I decided to write about Harvest Moon for the SNES!

1. Fool

The floorboards creaked beneath Eve as she paced, her heels clicking as she went, the sounds adding to the din of laughter and conversation in the bar. She lost count of how many times her eyes snapped toward the door, hoping to catch a glimpse of a familiar face.

One of the regulars tipped his raccoon skin hat at her as she placed another pint in front of him. Her smile was practiced, polite. She threw a wink in his direction before focusing back on the door.

I shouldn’t have laughed at him.

The new farmer’s face had gone pale when she joked about the ranch he had taken over being haunted. It was a common urban legend in the area, and she was a little surprised that he had first heard it from her. She had offered him a drink on the house, but he only looked more sickly as he left, with not so much as a wave in farewell.

How was I supposed to know he’d take it so seriously?

She hadn’t seen him in weeks. For a while, Eve was afraid she had scared the poor sap out of town, but she heard from her friends that he was still at the ranch, paying them visits when he wasn’t busy working the soil.

I guess I could visit him on my time off to see if things are okay between us, but between all the running around he does, he might not even be home…

Eve shook her head as she steeled herself.

There are excuses for everything. Stop being such a fool.

Tomorrow morning, she planned to visit him to apologize and make sure he was alright… and to see for herself if the farm really was haunted.

Does anybody remember the Harvest Moon game on the snes? I used to play it when I was really little with my mother and I remember liking Eve a whole lot. I guess you can say, she was my first video game “crush”

It's New Year's Eve! There are two celebrations in town, one is at the bar, the other is at the church. Since Elli is attending the church celebration, that's where I'll be heading!
