"Mine"
Performed at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee (May 7, 2023)
“I want to play a song that when I wrote it, I was writing about all these relationship things that hadn’t happened yet,” Swift said from her seat at the piano. She described how “it’s crazy” to go back and listen to songs that at the time were rooted in “fantasy” but at her age now are relatable, and then introduced the Speak Now track that was coming next: “This is called ‘Mine,'” Swift said.
Philly:
Gold Rush (for the eagles t-shirt line); Come Back Be Here (for Phoebe)

Question?; Invisible
I Think He Knows; Red
“Question…?”
Performed at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. (May 20, 2023)
Before giving this Midnights track its live debut, Swift got candid with fans about how her life’s going behind the scenes.
“I kind of just feel like telling you … I’ve just never been this happy in my life, in all aspects of my life, ever,” she gushed. “And I just want to thank you for being a part of that. It’s not just the tour, I just sort of feel like my life finally feels like it makes sense. I thought I’d play this song which brings me a lot of happy memories.”
MetLife/NJ:
Getaway Car (w/ Jack); Maroon
Holy Ground; False God
Welcome to New York; Clean
"Maroon"
Performed at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. (May 26, 2023)
Midnights is the most recent album to drop before Taylor’s Eras Tour, so it’s no surprise that it takes up a good portion of the setlist. Even so, the standard Eras Tour setlist doesn’t include one of the album’s absolute best songs — but the evening’s night’s crowd was in for a treat. “This is one of my favorites off Midnights, but I haven’t played it yet,” Swift said, before performing a gorgeous rendition of “Maroon” while seated at an upright piano festooned with a floral design.

The erasure of records, digitization, and 1990s Hollywood films [Part 3]
Continued from part 2
Note: This article is reprinted from my History Hermann blog, with this post published there on May 19, 2019. I published it on my Wading Through the Archival Stacks WordPress blog on Aug. 28, 2020 with some revisions because I thought it was relevant to archives, at least when it comes to films.
Why do these films matter?
"If I could take all the things that I am, all the feelings I have, all the things that I want, and somehow get them on a computer card, you would be the answer. I don't know why or how you've come along at this particular point in my life. See, that's the magic part. I'm not gonna let you go."- Dr. Sidney Schaefer talks to his girlfriend (who ends up being one of the people who is spying on him) in "The President's Analyst," a 1967 film
They matter because more and more of the records held by archival institutions are digital, specifically "born-digital" (like tweets, Facebook posts). Of course, they are a bit dated, as they came out between 1992 and 1996. However, the point that records can be changed and manipulated should be considered. There should be measures in place to make sure that the records, especially digital records, are not tampered with. Perhaps this would require fixity checks, but also could necessitate rules on the usage of records themselves.
Tumblr media
The haunting library in Citizen Kane
At the same time, the archives themselves should not be like the dark and haunting Thatcher Memorial Library in Citizen Kane, which has what some have described as having one of the world's meanest archivists, played by Georgia Backus, with hair up in a bun "and an intimidating stare on her face, a real dragon lady at the gates of knowledge." This is not the type of archives you want to go to! This is not the image that should be projected. [3]
© 2022 Burkely Hermann. All rights reserved.
Notes
[3] The same goes for Hollywood images of old archivists like in Vampires (1998) where the church archivist is introduced, a "slight, bearded man with glasses" who is sent along on a quest," in They Might Be Giants (1971) where a wealthy lawyer, who thinks he is Sherlock Holmes, teams up with a psychiatrist "to try to rid the world of evil" and in the process, one person plays an aged archivist who, despite his problems, "does come across as the sanest person in the movie and he finds clues to track down Moriarity," or in Amityville II: The Possession (1982) when a father uses a local archives to find out about a house causing trouble for his family, and in the process, he is helped by an elderly archivist, a person who says "I've worked here for 25 years."
There are other mentions of archives, but without archivists in Arlington Road (1998), Batman Begins (2005), Beverly Hills Ninja (1997), Broken Lullaby (1994), GoldenEye (1995), Journey to the Far Side of the Sun (aka Doppelganger) (1969), L.A. Confidential (1997), Message in a Bottle (1999), Ninth Gate (1999), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2017), Secret Nation (1991) [Canadian film], Shooting the Past (1999), Smila's Sense of Snow (1997), The Dark Knight (2008), The Name of the Rose (1986), The Phantom (1996), and The Shadow (1994). Also, there are said to be flirtatious archivists in Carolina Skeletons (1991) and Just Cause (1995), along with helpful ones (either initially or ultimately) in Cloud Atlas (2012), Deceived (1991), Quatermass and the Pitt (1967), The Fugitive (1993), and The Mask of Dimitrios (1944).
There are also a number of films that have archivists in the background: Charlton-Brown of the F.O. (1959), Macaroni (1986), Red (2010), Ridicule (1996), Rollerball (1975), and The Age of Stupid (2009), and those that are said to have nasty or mean archivists: Blade (1998), In the Name of the Father (1993), Scream 3 (2000), The Nasty Girl [Das Schreckliche Madchen] (1990), and The Watermelon Woman (1996). Please, do not constitute this as an endorsement of any of these films, as likely they are mostly terrible.

The Biggest Series Coming to Netflix Fall 2022
The Biggest Series Coming to Netflix Fall 2022
The Crown and Cobra Kai return, Wednesday debuts and the final season of Manifest takes flight
Whether you are a fan of the royal family, the Addams family or Ralph Macchio, Netflix has you covered this fall season.
Cobra Kai (premiering Sept. 9) and The Crown are both returning for their fifth seasons with some new faces.
The Crown features some well-known performers stepping into the iconic roles — including Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Dominic West as Prince Charles, and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana — and will chronicle Charles and Diana’s relationship as it further deteriorates in the public eye. In Cobra Kai, Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) face a serious challenge in the form of new Cobra Kai leader Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) — will the help they need come from a past rival?
Speaking of complicated relationships, one of the most beloved clans of all-time — the Addams family — returns to the screen with Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega as the titular heroine who leaves home for the altogether spooky boarding school Nevermore Academy. Snap snap!
Manifest makes the jump to Netflix for its final season, which kicks off on Nov. 4. Check out our interview with showrunner Jeff Rake on the show’s move and the new mysteries that are in store for the passengers of Flight 828.
And if you love reality TV, check out the new batch of singles trying to fall in love sight unseen in Season 3 of Love Is Blind. Meanwhile L.A. real estate titan Mauricio Umansky (also known as Kyle Richards’ husband) will show us homes to die for in the occu-soap Buying Beverly Hills.

My First Post On This Blog-Kaly Arlington Placa
Okay, so out of the blue I get a not one but a few emails from Kaly, my ex. I hadn’t talked to her in awhile or really posted about her either. I got busy with life and that was that. I’m sure she’s still a stark raving beach like she was before. No doubt she hurt me terribly but out of the blue. It can’t be about our kids because I got full custody and when I moved back here, everything was…

Well hello there (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧
I'm starting to finaly be active on Tumblr a bit thanks to the really kind people being intéressed by my baby Erika ( bless all if your Heart for being super nice guys )
I said i'll explain more of Erika bonds with the différent arlignton's student later and we are now later sooooo, enjoy this post if you'll read it.
first let's respond to a question I didn't answer: who's here love interest?
It's no one else that mister businessman Tadashi
Tumblr media
Tadashi :
What's better than starting a life story with awkward confusion ( I'll probably show how they first met in another post ). When they first met Tadashi not knowing about Erika's handicap mistook her as an Axel 2.0, always late for paperwork and giving him a hard time, he then one day snapped and yelled about her being lazy which she responded with "I'm sorry it's just you're walking faster than me" showing him her special pass.
This is a moment that made her laugh and that will haunt Tadashi when he tries to sleep. Since then she always thought of him as a great but overstressed guy and liked annoying him to time but they weren't close. When the Nanako's corp incident occurred she was not taking any BS knowing damn well that he wasn't that type of guy. Gaining a new ally they became real friends at that moment and soon after she convinced him to watch one of her movies .
She didn't gain her title of a talented young actress and Tadashi developed a little crush on her but tossed it away "she just has a pretty face, that nothing". Well it wasn't nothing when she won the first place of the Classement, honest, nice, pretty and smart, oh boo this crush got worse.
And what about Erika's POV? Well that something I'll tell another day while we pass on a relationship heavily impacted by tadashi's feelings....
Tumblr media
Karolina :
It's really easy, Karol hates her. She respects her works and her career but her blood boils from seeing how easily Erika talks and is comfortable with Tadashi while she tried to be perfect for the boy she liked. She knows it's just jealousy speaking and she hates it, making her even more disgusted by the young actress presence.
Erika feelings some sort of aggressively coming from her by her coldness just tried to not be around her, she reminds her too much of other actresses she met and don't need that kind of impression in that new environment. She also really dislike the way she treats her friend Anessa ( my other OC ), even if Anessa tells her that everything is ok it doesn't help the relation between them.
Tumblr media
Axel :
Someone she liked and feels comfortable with tho is Axel. They met each other long before Arlington, meeting on a talk show where they were interviewed for having such a successful career at a young age. They connected really fast and exchanged numbers quickly after. They lost contact when she went to the hospital but she was still very happy to learn that she would find a familiar face at Arlington.
Axel had a good feeling with that annoying little rats like he used to call her. The news of the incident was a shock and even if they weren't that close he still hoped she was alright. She happily joined him on his scheme to annoy Tadashi and he couldn't be more proud of that little rat.
Tumblr media
Claire :
If there was someone Erika would have probably gave a big smooch during the new year that would be claire. Erika missing a lot of hours the precedent year she needed a tutor and a good one, that when this angel came to her. Erika loves Claire with all her heart, this girl is a sweetie and she couldn't believe how nice she was, it touched her to have someone that kind around her. Claire became her confidant concerning her medical situation, she hates talking about it but she felt safe talking about it to her.
They don't see each other that much since they have both really heavy schedules but they are really good friends. Claire also enjoy Erika's presence, she had charisma and a motivation to study and talks about everything, she loved it. When she learned Tadashi had a crush on her you wouldn't believe the big smile she had on her face, she went on the ship really quickly.
Tumblr media
Ellie :
They were banned to work together due to the amount of heart they almost make stop with their cahotique creations. Their taste in humor, robotic, mechanics, creations, and pranks made them too similar for not being scared. They are a really good duo and both know it, it's fun to work with each other and they have a lot of fun together. Sadly teacher's decision was made and they were separated in class ( Romeo and Juliette who? )
They don't have much time to spend with each other but they send each other memes at 3 in the morning and do emoji battles in tchats.
(・ω・)つ⊂(・ω・)
Tumblr media
Tyler :
when they first met it was Like if two fanboys were in the same room. She worked for her father before and was a huge fan of him but she then was introduced to Tyler's work and was a huge shadow fan. On the contrary, Tyler remembered her acting very well, this girl had talent and not the kind he could forget. After a long period of awkward and anxious fan behavior, they finally spoke to each other as students, and they became really good friends. Erika is honest and straightforward, she's not influenced when it comes to criticizing Tyler's works and it's a good help.
Tumblr media
Tegan :
If someone asked her to describe Tegan she would immediately tall about how to talk he is. She's not that tall and he's a literal giant for her. They are good friends but Erika is a way too social and a tactil person for Tegan's taste which she understands. She still thinks of him as a nice guy and is 100% here to encourage him ( mostly for his crush toward Anessa ). She also enjoys gaming with him and doesn't hesitate to go talk to him or just chill without talking.
Tumblr media
Alistair :
One of her favorite person to ask for a ride on his back. Alistair and she don't have a lot in common but they always have time for a nice conversation. She likes to learn about his siblings and regularly asks for news from them when they see each other. He empathizes with her legs problem and tries to help her if she needs any help. He's probably one of the first person who'll find about Tadashi's feelings towards her and he totally agrees to help his friend about it.
Tumblr media
Because of the nature of the relationship she has with Karolina, Neha and Erika don't really have lots of moments to speak to each other. Therefore none of them have negative feelings toward each other and they had some pleasant discussions. Erika loved Neha's design and probably commanded her different outfits which led them to have a nice but simple and small little friendship they don't talk about.
Tumblr media
Raquel :
These two never had a particular occasion to interact with each other but friends of a friend they are nice and that a bit if they have time. Raquel Always kindly invite her to her party which she mostly décline due to her health condition.
If you readed all of it i Hope you had a good Time and if you have any Ask about anything i'll be happy to respond to it
Have a good day (。•̀ᴗ-)✧

Meeting Strangers - General Timeline
While there is a general masterpost for Meeting Strangers//Spiegelbilder with stories I’m working on, I needed a somewhat simple timetine that covers the major milestones, so here we go. I’ll be adding links to posted chapters and/or WIP posts to the single events. Things with * are currently worked on most and likely to be posted next. There’s a lot of unrelated oneshots to be found in the other masterpost, that are not linked to these major milestones and thus not listed here.
You can find all posted chapters on AO3 here. General rambling and WIPs on tumblr under this tag. Edits for characters/places/scenes found here.

DATE
words: 969
warnings: none
summary: Jax and Jim go out.
Jim paces in his closet, massaging his temples as he browses the hangers. He pulls a shirt out, holds it up in front of himself in the mirror, and makes a face. He tucks a sidelock behind his ear.
Jim's nervous to go on a date. He's never been on a date before. He's a rockstar. He's seen the guy's dick already. And he's in agony over picking an outfit, because he likes a boy. He can't help but laugh.
The moment he sees Jax, stepping out of his apartment, the anxiety turns into butterflies. Jax is in a shiny leather jacket and a white t-shirt so tight Jim can see his tattoos through it, making him feel less like a fucking tryhard about his eventual choice of a sheer floral button-up, but also, Christ.
Jax raises his eyebrows when he sees that Jim has brought the motorcycle instead of the car.
"Am I supposed to be the hot chick on the back of your bike?"
“As if you aren’t dying to be?”
Jax grins at him. "Touché."
They ride along through the summer breeze, Jax’s arms wrapped tight around Jim’s waist, which totally isn’t kind of distracting whatsoever. They end up at the Arlington Diner-- they used to come here every once in a while back when Jim was crashing on Jax’s couch, for some late night “world famous” cheesecake that Jim is pretty sure they haven’t even heard of the next state over. It’s a quaint little place, your beautifully standard retro American diner, all neon signs and chrome plating. They get real food this time, and just shoot the shit, and it’s easy, and it’s nice, and time totally flies by.
Jim’s all smiles and giggles- a far cry from who he was the last time he was here. This time, he isn’t tucked away in the corner buried in a sweater like a ball of misery, too busy fighting an internal war to talk much. This time he gets to be affectionate, and present, and he’s grateful for that. He’s grateful to get the chance to make these new memories with Jax, to re-do ones he always wished he could.
They cruise a bit further along the river, passing right by the cathedral, to the park. Jim reflects on how the last time he saw that spire was when he was leaving Newark for good, and how painfully poetic it all is.
The cherry blossoms bloom in spring, but tragically, it’s August. However, a park’s still a park. Jim lights a smoke, taking a drag before offering it to Jax. They start their way along the trail, and Jim slips his hand into Jax’s, knitting their fingers together and kissing him on the shoulder to try and hide his blush.
“-And so I pick up the phone and he’s just like 'Dude, I got locked in the basement and it locks from the outside.' And I go looking for a basement door and there just isn’t one.”
“Oh, yeah, obviously,” Jax says, swinging their clasped hands a little.
“Now I’m thinking, we go on in like, five minutes. At most ten, and my drummer’s sent himself to fucking Narnia through some secret basement in this allegedly haunted venue. So I’m like-” Jim flinches when a drop lands on his nose and looks up. Apparently a rogue stormcloud has decided to roll through, because, of course. “Oh shit-” he breathes, and then there comes the rain. They take off running, scrambling for shelter under the bridge up ahead, doubling over and breathlessly laughing their asses off.
After a minute, Jim decides to embrace his fate, and steps back out into the rain, holding his arms out. “Free shower!” he beams.
“Yeah, you have fun with that,” Jax snorts.
“Booo,” Jim taunts, except then his hair dye starts running into his eyes. “Ow- fuck. Abort. Shower over,” he laments, slipping back under the threshold and shaking his head like a dog to splash Jax.
“Asshole!” Jax laughs, shielding his face and pushing Jim away from him. “This jacket is NOT waterproof; if it gets ruined you’re paying for it, mister rich-bitch rockstar.”
Jim rubs his eyes and grins at him. “Oh, so I should ruin it so I have an excuse to buy you a fancy new one?”
“That is not–” Jax gets out, before Jim’s all over him. It starts as a play tackle, but somewhere along the line it becomes a faux-waltz. When Jim goes to dip Jax, they lock eyes for a few seconds, both smiling faintly, hearts beating out of their chests, and then Jim lowers his head and kisses Jax, soaking wet, backdropped by the pouring rain.
It's not technically a first kiss, but it feels like one.
It doesn’t take too long for the rain to pass. They sit together as the sun goes down, just out of reach of the rainfall, sharing a smoke until it clears and they can finish their walk. Jim gives Jax a ride home, and they share a goodnight kiss. They leave it at that. Jax tells Jim to text him when he gets home, and then Jim makes his way back, across the state line to his apartment.
Being in this city again, being around Jax again, without spending just about everything he has trying to choke down his feelings- it’s overwhelming. His heart’s filled with all the love and admiration he didn’t get to feel last time he was here.
It feels like coming home, just like Jax had begged him to all those years ago. But Jim couldn’t do it before he made sure he wasn’t going to hurt him anymore. He couldn’t do it before he knew he could take care of Jax like he deserved.
But now. Now he can.

Churchyards make for good hauntings, not only because they are places of the dead but because they are anachronistic. As garden cemeteries became the norm, with their emphasis on spiritual uplift, old churchyards, almost out of necessity, came to be seen as their opposite: gloomy and forlorn, dire and dreary. While guidebooks were urging tourists to visit Mount Auburn, Magnolia Cemetery, and Arlington, folklorists were recording stories of supernatural disturbances at old graveyards. Ghosts emerge from places of neglect, and churchyards are the homes of the neglected dead.
